Jackson: Our conversations are secret, right? Or can you talk about this with anyone?
Anthony: Don’t worry Jackson I won’t discuss our meetings with anyone. Tell me what’s bothering you.
Jackson: Are you religious?
Anthony: I am Protestant, yes, but I am not a fanatic… Sometimes I don’t go to church.
Jackson: How can you believe in a superior being that enjoys seeing one of his creations burn? Ever since the first living creature stepped on the planet Earth that your suppose God has been watching a world of destruction, pain, blood, tragedy, He watched many species extinct and people kill and torture each other. Is he a maniac? Is your omnipotent God evil? Or does he no simply exist and that’s why we live in a mess? Do you know what my opinion is? There are two possible versions. Or there is no God, or we are already in hell.
Anthony: Why are you having those negative and dark thoughts again? What happened?
Jackson: I’m having some… How should I call it… Family problems.
Anthony: Do you want to tell me more about it?
Jackson got up and opened the door a little bit, watching the secretary typing on the computer. He closed the door and sat, a little bit apprehensive. He then whispered to Anthony. “Can she hear?”
Anthony: Don’t worry, this room is soundproof.
Jackson: I need to talk about this… This is consuming me for months, I can’t hold this just to myself anymore. I hope I can trust you.
Anthony nodded.
Jackson: My friend Matt… He is the Vice-President of his father’s company. But besides that he also is the leader of one of the most dangerous New York gangs… They call themselves The Dragons.
Anthony’s eyes popped out as he coughed. He was clearly jumbled and surprised.
Jackson: They do some weird things to have profit, and I don’t want to know more about it. But the problem is, a rival gang kidnapped my cousin, Sarah. She is Matt’s wife. And their leader made Matt an ultimatum. He must end the gang or Sarah dies. I have no idea if he is going to do the right thing and I can’t do anything about it. I’m scared he decides to do other thing different than end the gang. I want to do something but I can’t… It is killing me inside, I can’t do anything. I can’t help my cousin.
Anthony: That is some serious trouble… But look… You can contact the police.
Jackson: If I do that, Matt goes to jail and if the other gang finds out they may kill Sarah.
Anthony: You must choose. You can save Matt or you can save your cousin. I am sure the police are used to work on cases similar to the one you just told me about. My advice is you tell the police what’s going on. Or at least, tell them that your cousin was kidnapped. There is the possibility that they don’t find anything against your friend.
Jackson: You’re right but that’s not so simple. I have to think about it. Thank you, Anthony.
Anthony: I’m here to help you. I’ve heard you are fighting for a championship, my son is really excited about your match.
Jackson: Well, wrestling is the only thing that is going well right now.
Anthony: I got to be honest, I’ve been watching some wrestling matches. I was curious and I watched your match last night. You were so close to win…
Jackson: I was nervous before I entered the ring. I was just thinking that maybe I was not going to be able to do anything relevant on the match. But then I held on , I saw some being eliminated and then I sent Q-Ball over the top rope. At that moment, I imagined in my head Joey Flash raising my arm as Kyle Steel screamed that I was the Ultimate Ninth. I was already picturing me entering the ring on Ultimate Showdown’s main-event. My hope was even higher when there was only me and Thomas Bates left on that ring. But then I screwed up… I thought my Dropkick was going to be effective but instead it cost me the match… And now Bates is on Ultimate Showdown’s main-event. That’s unfair. I deserved that spot on the Ultimate Showdown match more than him. He didn’t defeat me on that Battle Royal, I was just stupid and cost myself the match. This Sunday, I will not make mistakes.
Thomas will be more worried about his main-event and he’ll end up losing everything. I bet the DRG members are encouraging him to save himself for the main-event but honestly, I don’t think he has what it takes to win it. Don’t interpret me wrong, I like Thomas, I just think he doesn’t have a chance to win any title. There are stronger wrestlers on that match: Dune, Jonny Fly, Jay Omega, Kaz Mazy, Howard Black… I don’t even need to continue. Bates is a fine competitor, but he still has a lot to improve before he wins another title. I sincerely want him not to worry with the opener match, that way it will be easier for me, Zombie and Henson to conquer the titles. I am waiting for an opportunity like this for a long time and I firmly believe I am going to win the match. “He wants everything, loses it all”. My parents used to tell me this a lot. That will happen to Bates this weekend.
If you analyze Bates’ dynasty you’ll conclude the same as I did. Thomas is a disappointment to his family. He is getting so much pressure to win this weekend that I bet he is desperate. He has got two options: He rests for the main-event and doesn’t take much part on the Trios Title Match or he tries to give his best on both matches. The thing is, Thomas is a good man, he is determined and I don’t think he trusts Gemini Battle and Doug Murdock so much that he lets them fight the whole match. I think he’ll not take the easy path but that will make things difficult for him. My preview to after Ultimate Showdown, whatever happens, is that the DRG will face some trouble. Bates being on two matches will be bad for them, they will see their leader only thinking about his own success instead of worrying about the gang. Bates will get frustrated with his brothers because he’ll lose everything because the other members of DRG won’t be able to be there for him when he most needed them.
I mean, Gemini Battle seems a bit distant now, at least when see him fighting I just feel like his mind is somewhere else. Doug Murdock is not as good as his older brother, after all, he was the one who got them the title. The odds are against DRG on this match, Anthony, I think you agree with me.
Anthony: Yes, your team has pretty good chances to win. Believe me when I say I am really hyped to watch the match. I sincerely hope you win it. You are a good man and you’ve been working hard to win titles on WCF, trust me, you’ll be rewarded. If it is not on Sunday, it will happen soon, don’t worry about it.
Jackson: It’s about time I have some recognition on the wrestling world. I am where I am because I worked hard, I am not some lazy young man that only likes to party, I am not like those idiots that do drugs and listen to electronic music paying drinks with their parents’ money instead of spending their days searching for work. I help my family, I help my friends, I help my girlfriend. I trained for years to be on the best wrestling company in the world and I want my reward. At first, my goal was to warn my father’s murderer that I was stronger, that I was looking for him. Now I want to win matches, I want to have gold around my waist. I don’t even know if the person that killed my dad is even alive… I feel terrible for being so demotivated but I am tired, Anthony. I am tired of spending my days just investigating something that may have no conclusion. I think it’s better for me to slowly let go of my dad’s death.
Anthony: That’s a mature attitude. I completely agree with you, it’s not healthy for you to be so obsessed. Look, our time is up. I’ll see you in another day.

Jackson and his girlfriend Jennifer are having lunch. They are both quiet, since they had a fight a few days ago and they still haven’t worked it out.
Jackson: This chicken is delicious. We should come here more often.
Jennifer: Whatever.
Jackson: Jennifer, you can’t stay mad at me forever. I was just making a joke.
Jennifer: Sorry, you’re right.
Jackson: Can we just get over this?
Jennifer: Yes, we can. I was mad because… Nevermind.
Jackson: Tell me Jennifer!
Jennifer: Forget it, we’re fine, it doesn’t matter.
Jackson: You know you can trust me, right?
Jennifer looked straight in Jackson’s eyes. They had recently started their relationship but he was right. She could trust him. She cleaned her lips with a napkin, drank some water and took a deep breath.
Jennifer: My father was a little abusive to my mother sometimes. He used to drink a lot of whisky and some nights he used to drink too much and he started being a bit violent to my mom. I just started to hate men that despised women. But I overreacted, you were just joking, that’s ok.
Jackson: I’m sorry, I didn’t know about that… I’ll never make a joke about women again. I promise.
Jennifer: Thank you. Can we talk about something else now?
Jackson: Sure.
Jennifer: So, have you trained a lot for your title match on Sunday?
Jackson: Actually today I am just resting. Yesterday was a fucking hard day for me.
Jennifer: You almost won that Battle Royal, I am sure everything will turn out okay from now on. You were unlucky.
Jackson: Yeah, you’re right. I mean, I’ve already defeated Gemini Battle at Blast so I just need to repeat it on Ultimate Showdown and the titles come to my team. Have you watched Battle’s last matches? After he lost against me he lost a tag-team match and was pinned by Jack Coston!
Jennifer: Who?
Jackson: Exactly! He lost against a jobber newcomer that just had one title shot and then nobody ever heard of him again. Gemini Battle is demoralized and I am sure he doesn’t believe in himself enough to help the DRG retain the title. Battle looks like a hobo begging for a win in WCF. This came to a point in which Henson got himself pinned by Gemini on purpose! I would never accept something like that! That would be an offense to me!
Jennifer: I laughed my ass off when that happened to be honest.
Jackson: I did it too at first, but then it made me angry. How can a wrestler like him be a champion on a wrestling company that has the best superstars in the entire world? DRG are not ready to be champions. Gemini Battle isn’t ready to be a champion. Could you imagine the other current champions in WCF winning a match like he did? Gemini Battle having a WCF title is an insult to the entire company. Since the DRG won the title at Asesinato De Mayo the only match he won was because his opponent let him win. Why didn’t he beat the crap out of him to show to his dear fans that he is a wrestler worth to be a champion? Is it because he is suddenly a good man? Does he want to make the WCF’s fans forget about all the awful things he did to Grayson Pierce? Did he show mercy to Henson and pinned him without fighting him so he could draw the attentions to him? I bet every kid that watches WCF is saying “OMG I love Gemini Battle he is such a nice guy”. In my opinion, that’s not a good champion. A wrestler that represents a company shouldn’t be a nice guy, he should be a great wrestler. He should inspire all the newcomers and all the wrestlers that aspire to climb the stairs to success. What he does is deceiving everyone. Watching him on WCF makes being a champion in a famous company look easy. It seems that you don’t need to work hard to win titles. You need to have connections. I bet Deuce Murdock’s back hurt because of carrying Battle and Bates on their matches.
Jennifer: Baby I’m sorry but I have to go back do work.
Jackson: It’s ok, let’s go.
Jackson paid the meal and they both left the restaurant. They kissed each other and Jennifer smiled at him.
Jennifer: I lo… I like you Jackson. Really.

Interviewer: Hello everyone and welcome to WrestlingNews.COM Podcast! Our official guest this evening is one of the number one contenders to the WCF Trios Title… He is… JACKSON “THE FENIX” WHITE! Welcome Jackson.
Jackson: Good afternoon, it’s a pleasure to be here.
Interviewer: First of all let me congratulate you for your performance on the Ultimate Ninth Battle Royal!
Jackson: Thank you. I was really unlucky but Thomas Bates is a great wrestler, he was one of the favorites to win the match anyway.
Interviewer: Speaking of Thomas Bates, let’s talk about Ultimate Showdown! How do you feel about getting some revenge on your former leader?
Jackson: I don’t think you should call it revenge… I just think it is an opportunity for me to demonstrate why DRG shouldn’t hold titles for now. They aren’t even a real brotherhood, for instance, Spencer Adams defeated Gemini Battle a few weeks ago for a People’s Championship match and now they are on the same group. Don’t you think there is some awkwardness between them? I would be furious if a guy that took a chance away from me would suddenly be my “brother”. I hear some murmur around the WCF locker rooms and they’re saying that DRG are a really connected team and that they will most likely retain their titles this Sunday. I don’t agree. It takes time to be a solid group.
Interviewer: It’s curious that you mention that since one of the members of DRG’s team on Ultimate Showdown’s opener match is a newcomer in WCF.
Jackson: Exactly. How can they say that DRG have an advantage over my team when they have an unknown man, except for Deuce Murdock obviously, fighting for them? Besides that, how does he have the right to just replace his brother? But well, I don’t know why I am complaining because this is better for me. Deuce was the one who got DRG the titles, he was the one who managed to pin Corey Black to win the Trios Title for his team. I honestly don’t believe that Doug is as good as his older brother. Because, to be honest, Gonzo was great. Doug? He is just another vulgar newcomer. He’s just like many guys that debuted in WCF and then completely disappeared. He is just another Reginald Dampshaw, another Jack Coston and another Steven Saint. Those are some names that people thought they were going to be something good. Those are wrestlers that had some chances to shine in this company and screwed up. Guess what? My guess is that Doug Murdock will destroy DRG’s chances to proof they are a solid team and that they deserve to be the best on the Trios division. Inexperienced men get nervous. It’s common sense. I’ll use Murdock’s jitters to bring gold to my country.
Besides, he isn’t even a real wrestler! He is a freaking Hockey player! What is he doing on a company with such caliber as WCF? I don’t want to seem arrogant, I am just being realistic. A 20 year-old that plays hockey suddenly is on a wrestling company and has already won two matches? That seems luck to me. And trust me, one day Doug’s luck will end. The amount of reasons for that is the same as the matches Doug has done on WCF. One reason is because Doug is on the same position as Thomas Bates. Their predecessors have already made a statement in the wrestling world. Their family has a huge legacy on wrestling and that puts a lot of pressure on them. Doug Murdock doesn’t have what his older brother has. His older brother was a main-eventer. He had an epic battle against Dune for the top title in this company. How will a young man like Doug enter the ring on Sunday completely focused on the match? I am completely sure he won’t. His mind will be somewhere else. The other reason is because Murdock may even get too cocky for winning all the matches he had on WCF and my friend, arrogant people don’t succeed in wrestling. Self-criticism and evolution are essential when you’re a wrestler.

Matt is sit on his couch smoking a joint. He is really stoned: his eyes are red and his mouth is completely dry. There are lot of empty beer cans and lots of empty fries’ packs. Someone rings the bell on his house but Matt stays completely motionless. It was Jackson. He peaked through one of the windows and knocked.
Jackson: Matt, open the door. It’s me, Jackson!
Matt: I don’t want to open. I know what you’re doing here and I don’t want to talk.
Jackson: You have to open the door Matt.
Matt: No.
Matt takes another drag on the joint.
Jackson: Seriously? Your wife is kidnapped and is being held somewhere and you’re in your house smoking weed and eating junk food? Are you fucking kidding me?
Matt: Go away.
Jackson: I won’t leave. Sarah is my cousin. She is your wife. Why did I see Doug followed by a few members of your fucking gang when that black dude made you an ultimatum? Are you seriously considering letting Sarah die?
Matt: I am considering getting drunk and high.
Jackson: Oh my fucking god Matt, get your ass over here and open the door. Let’s talk like grownups. Please dude.
Matt got up really slowly and a bit vexed. He opened the door to Jackson as he quickly entered and took the joint from Matt, throwing it to the ground. He stepped over the joint and Matt grabbed Jackson’s collar.
Matt: Why are you bothering me? I have everything under control! Keep calm!
Jackson: How can I be calm? You’re on your couch completely relaxed while Sarah is out there!
Matt: I have a plan Jackson. I always have one. In fact, that plan is being executed at this precise moment. Don’t you think you should trust me bro? I may be an asshole, I admit it, but everything I do ends up well. Sarah will be okay, don’t worry about it.
Jackson: You’re right. You’re a fucking asshole. I don’t understand how this is all normal for you. I don’t even know how you entered on this criminal world. What was on your mind when you decided to create The Dragons? Didn’t you think about Sarah? Besides, didn’t you think about yourself? Does it feel good to live a dishonest life? Do you think you’re a badass by killing whoever you want and never get caught? This doesn’t make any sense Matt. You were nice to me when we were younger when everyone else mocked me. You stood by my side when those bullies were constantly robbing me. How does a good guy like you turn in a New York top criminal?
Matt: Like you said, I was there when you most needed. Don’t be a pain in the ass Jackson, this is the life I chose.
Jackson: Exactly! It was your own choice! You decided to live an illegal life! And for what? Money? Is that what this is about? Are you greedy?
Matt: You don’t understand Jackson.
Jackson: Please Matt, explain to me!
Matt: Fine. Do you want me to tell you the truth?
Jackson: Yes!
Matt: My dad founded The Dragons. I just followed him. He thought me how to win extra money and have a better life. He showed me how to do things without getting caught and how to rule a city full of criminals. He is the president of the Carter Industries and he was the first leader of The Dragons. He left because he got too old to be in the gang.
Matt’s phone started to ring. He answered it and after a few seconds he hung up and got a coat and his car keys.
Matt: Doug found out where Sarah is. He gave me an address. Are you coming or are you going to stay here?
Jackson: I’m coming, I’m coming…
Matt and Jackson entered the car and Matt quickly started the engine and drove.
Jackson: How the fuck did Doug find out where she is?
Matt: They invaded the NY Kings territory.
Jackson: I can see it went well.
Matt: We had a few casualties. But so did them.
Jackson: Fuck Matt. Don’t you see that your father brainwashed you? He seems to me that he’s the bad guy in this story.
Matt: At least my fucking dad is alive. At least he survived to watch his son grow up and be a successful man like he was and currently is. At least he’s not weak.
There was an awkward silence. Matt noticed he shouldn’t have said that. He regretted every word that he just said but it was too late. The silence was interrupted by a fire truck driving at high speed. Coincidentally the truck was driving to the same destination as Matt. There was a fire on the house that Sarah was being held. Matt parked the car and quickly ran to a fireman that was giving the other firemen directions.
Matt: Sir! Sir! Excuse me! Was there a girl inside the house?
There was some crowd staring at the burning house. There was a specie of a barrier dividing the firemen and the people.
Fireman: I’m going to ask you to back off sir, you’re too close to the house.
Matt: It was told to me that my wife was inside this house!
The fireman stood quiet looking fixedly at Matt’s eyes. He then looked to the house still on fire and then down. He pulled out his hat as he turned his back to Matt and told him to follow him. They walked to a black plastic covering something that looked like a corpse.
Matt: Oh no. No. No. No. Please no. Please. Please. Tell me that’s not Sarah. Please. No. No. No. No. This is not possible.
The fireman lifted the plastic and Matt and Jackson were shocked. That was indeed Sarah. Jackson made a few steps back with his hands on his head and started to cry. Matt stood still with his eyes wide open.
Fireman: I’m sorry for your loss sir. We managed to take her outside the house before her body was burnt but she was already dead. We don’t know how she died we’ll have to wait for the autopsy. I’ll give you a moment.
Matt was on his knees. He couldn’t believe that for the first time he had screwed up. He had already lost a few members of his gang but they didn’t matter to him. Doug was the only one that was important to Matt. But Sarah, she was the one that mattered the most to him. He loved her at his strange way but the truth was that he was in love with her.
Jackson: This is your fault.
Jackson got Matt up and punched him right in the face. Matt fell and Jackson mounted him punching him repeatedly and furiously. He was screaming “This is your fault” while doing that. It was a matter of seconds until two policemen and two firemen intervened and separated both. Matt was bleeding from his nose and Jackson was completely possessed. His eyes were wide open and his face was terrifying.
Jackson: Leave me alone! Let me go!
The policemen took Jackson away as he screamed.
Jackson: This is not over Matt! This is not over!
Anthony White’s grave
Next day, 9AM
Jackson slowly arrived the cemetery in New York City in which his father was buried. He stared at his dad’s picture that was on the tombstone and smiled at it, letting a tear roll down his face.
Jackson: Hi dad. I haven’t talked to you in a while. I was really busy. Work stuff you know? Besides, I have a girlfriend now. I know you’re happy for me. But I am not happy. I am devastated. Do you know what happened? I lost another family member. I lost another person whose time to leave this planet came too son. Sarah is gone dad. Sarah left us. Sarah left me. Just like you did. My biggest enemy returned and took another person from me. The reaper is tearing me apart father. I can’t deal with this.
Jackson pulled a gun from his pocket and held it against his own head.
Jackson: I played a game against Death and I lost. It’s time for me to admit that I can’t win this. Besides, who even cares if I die? Jennifer and mom will be sad but they will get better with time. Everything goes better with time. You use to tell me that dad…
Jackson closed his eyes and tried to pull the trigger but he couldn’t. He put the pistol down.
Jackson: It seems that I am inside a maze. Sometimes I find the right path but then a huge wall appears and tells me I have to go back and start over. I was doing fine until now, my paranoia was decreasing, my obsession with your death was disappearing and my depression was beginning to fade away. Seeing Sarah’s corpse laid on the ground made me teleport back to the day that I saw you getting shot. I felt almost the same pain as I did in 2010 New Year’s Eve. Now I have the same hunger of revenge, the same thirst of truth and I feel the same anger that corrodes my brain every day. I barely slept this night. I was overthinking about you just like I use to do. I don’t even have the same energy to keep my relationship with Jennifer. But there is one thing that is not different. I still have the same passion for Wrestling. It has been helping me a lot, dad.
I promise you that this Sunday I will show to every single person that watches WCF that hard work always pays off. I will proof to everyone that you don’t need to be cocky like Doug Murdock to win titles. I will teach Gemini Battle that looks doesn’t matter and I will crush Thomas Bates’s dreams and took the titles from his crew. They are not a brotherhood, father. They are Bates’s group. That’s what they are. The DRG members just don’t realize it, but I am sure that Thomas doesn’t see them as his brothers. He sees them as his employees. He is some kind of mix between a boss and a leader. He motivates them and helps them pushing DRG into the right direction but at the same time he feels that he is better than all of them and that without him there is no DRG.
I don’t even know what Gemini Battle is still doing in DRG. The highlights aren’t even on him anymore. They are on Thomas Bates. In fact, if you pay attention, the focus was constantly on Thomas Bates. Battle didn’t like it at first, he just had to deal with it because he wanted fame by the cost of others. He finally had what he wanted, he conquered the Trios Championship because of Gonzo. I am sure that after Ultimate Showdown, he’ll realize that he hasn’t accomplished anything on DRG and he’ll want to leave. If he chooses to say that only means that he still has hope to win back some title.
I don’t even want to talk about Doug Murdock. He isn’t half of what his older brother was when he was fighting in WCF. He is just a smug child that believes he is invincible. He must be sniffing coke because he’s just a mere mortal. He’s not like Zombie McMorris! He’s easy to hurt. He is different from Henson too, he’s dumb as a fucking rock. And of course, dad, he is a lot different than me. I am not vain as he is and I am an intelligent and hard worker young man.
That’s why my team has pretty good chances to win on Sunday. That’s one of the reasons that’s keeping me here, alive. And of course dad, you’re the only reason I’m still here. I haven’t abandoned you and I never will. I promise you I’ll find out who killed you, I just need some time. I have to go now. We’ll talk later. I love you dad, I miss you so much. Please, guide me.

Jackson: You’re right but that’s not so simple. I have to think about it. Thank you, Anthony.
Anthony: I’m here to help you. I’ve heard you are fighting for a championship, my son is really excited about your match.
Jackson: Well, wrestling is the only thing that is going well right now.
Anthony: I got to be honest, I’ve been watching some wrestling matches. I was curious and I watched your match last night. You were so close to win…
Jackson: I was nervous before I entered the ring. I was just thinking that maybe I was not going to be able to do anything relevant on the match. But then I held on , I saw some being eliminated and then I sent Q-Ball over the top rope. At that moment, I imagined in my head Joey Flash raising my arm as Kyle Steel screamed that I was the Ultimate Ninth. I was already picturing me entering the ring on Ultimate Showdown’s main-event. My hope was even higher when there was only me and Thomas Bates left on that ring. But then I screwed up… I thought my Dropkick was going to be effective but instead it cost me the match… And now Bates is on Ultimate Showdown’s main-event. That’s unfair. I deserved that spot on the Ultimate Showdown match more than him. He didn’t defeat me on that Battle Royal, I was just stupid and cost myself the match. This Sunday, I will not make mistakes.
Thomas will be more worried about his main-event and he’ll end up losing everything. I bet the DRG members are encouraging him to save himself for the main-event but honestly, I don’t think he has what it takes to win it. Don’t interpret me wrong, I like Thomas, I just think he doesn’t have a chance to win any title. There are stronger wrestlers on that match: Dune, Jonny Fly, Jay Omega, Kaz Mazy, Howard Black… I don’t even need to continue. Bates is a fine competitor, but he still has a lot to improve before he wins another title. I sincerely want him not to worry with the opener match, that way it will be easier for me, Zombie and Henson to conquer the titles. I am waiting for an opportunity like this for a long time and I firmly believe I am going to win the match. “He wants everything, loses it all”. My parents used to tell me this a lot. That will happen to Bates this weekend.
If you analyze Bates’ dynasty you’ll conclude the same as I did. Thomas is a disappointment to his family. He is getting so much pressure to win this weekend that I bet he is desperate. He has got two options: He rests for the main-event and doesn’t take much part on the Trios Title Match or he tries to give his best on both matches. The thing is, Thomas is a good man, he is determined and I don’t think he trusts Gemini Battle and Doug Murdock so much that he lets them fight the whole match. I think he’ll not take the easy path but that will make things difficult for him. My preview to after Ultimate Showdown, whatever happens, is that the DRG will face some trouble. Bates being on two matches will be bad for them, they will see their leader only thinking about his own success instead of worrying about the gang. Bates will get frustrated with his brothers because he’ll lose everything because the other members of DRG won’t be able to be there for him when he most needed them.
I mean, Gemini Battle seems a bit distant now, at least when see him fighting I just feel like his mind is somewhere else. Doug Murdock is not as good as his older brother, after all, he was the one who got them the title. The odds are against DRG on this match, Anthony, I think you agree with me.
Anthony: Yes, your team has pretty good chances to win. Believe me when I say I am really hyped to watch the match. I sincerely hope you win it. You are a good man and you’ve been working hard to win titles on WCF, trust me, you’ll be rewarded. If it is not on Sunday, it will happen soon, don’t worry about it.
Jackson: It’s about time I have some recognition on the wrestling world. I am where I am because I worked hard, I am not some lazy young man that only likes to party, I am not like those idiots that do drugs and listen to electronic music paying drinks with their parents’ money instead of spending their days searching for work. I help my family, I help my friends, I help my girlfriend. I trained for years to be on the best wrestling company in the world and I want my reward. At first, my goal was to warn my father’s murderer that I was stronger, that I was looking for him. Now I want to win matches, I want to have gold around my waist. I don’t even know if the person that killed my dad is even alive… I feel terrible for being so demotivated but I am tired, Anthony. I am tired of spending my days just investigating something that may have no conclusion. I think it’s better for me to slowly let go of my dad’s death.
Anthony: That’s a mature attitude. I completely agree with you, it’s not healthy for you to be so obsessed. Look, our time is up. I’ll see you in another day.
Jackson: Sure, thank you so much Anthony.
Restaurant in New York City

Jackson and his girlfriend Jennifer are having lunch. They are both quiet, since they had a fight a few days ago and they still haven’t worked it out.
Jackson: This chicken is delicious. We should come here more often.
Jennifer: Whatever.
Jackson: Jennifer, you can’t stay mad at me forever. I was just making a joke.
Jennifer: Sorry, you’re right.
Jackson: Can we just get over this?
Jennifer: Yes, we can. I was mad because… Nevermind.
Jackson: Tell me Jennifer!
Jennifer: Forget it, we’re fine, it doesn’t matter.
Jackson: You know you can trust me, right?
Jennifer looked straight in Jackson’s eyes. They had recently started their relationship but he was right. She could trust him. She cleaned her lips with a napkin, drank some water and took a deep breath.
Jennifer: My father was a little abusive to my mother sometimes. He used to drink a lot of whisky and some nights he used to drink too much and he started being a bit violent to my mom. I just started to hate men that despised women. But I overreacted, you were just joking, that’s ok.
Jackson: I’m sorry, I didn’t know about that… I’ll never make a joke about women again. I promise.
Jennifer: Thank you. Can we talk about something else now?
Jackson: Sure.
Jennifer: So, have you trained a lot for your title match on Sunday?
Jackson: Actually today I am just resting. Yesterday was a fucking hard day for me.
Jennifer: You almost won that Battle Royal, I am sure everything will turn out okay from now on. You were unlucky.
Jackson: Yeah, you’re right. I mean, I’ve already defeated Gemini Battle at Blast so I just need to repeat it on Ultimate Showdown and the titles come to my team. Have you watched Battle’s last matches? After he lost against me he lost a tag-team match and was pinned by Jack Coston!
Jennifer: Who?
Jackson: Exactly! He lost against a jobber newcomer that just had one title shot and then nobody ever heard of him again. Gemini Battle is demoralized and I am sure he doesn’t believe in himself enough to help the DRG retain the title. Battle looks like a hobo begging for a win in WCF. This came to a point in which Henson got himself pinned by Gemini on purpose! I would never accept something like that! That would be an offense to me!
Jennifer: I laughed my ass off when that happened to be honest.
Jackson: I did it too at first, but then it made me angry. How can a wrestler like him be a champion on a wrestling company that has the best superstars in the entire world? DRG are not ready to be champions. Gemini Battle isn’t ready to be a champion. Could you imagine the other current champions in WCF winning a match like he did? Gemini Battle having a WCF title is an insult to the entire company. Since the DRG won the title at Asesinato De Mayo the only match he won was because his opponent let him win. Why didn’t he beat the crap out of him to show to his dear fans that he is a wrestler worth to be a champion? Is it because he is suddenly a good man? Does he want to make the WCF’s fans forget about all the awful things he did to Grayson Pierce? Did he show mercy to Henson and pinned him without fighting him so he could draw the attentions to him? I bet every kid that watches WCF is saying “OMG I love Gemini Battle he is such a nice guy”. In my opinion, that’s not a good champion. A wrestler that represents a company shouldn’t be a nice guy, he should be a great wrestler. He should inspire all the newcomers and all the wrestlers that aspire to climb the stairs to success. What he does is deceiving everyone. Watching him on WCF makes being a champion in a famous company look easy. It seems that you don’t need to work hard to win titles. You need to have connections. I bet Deuce Murdock’s back hurt because of carrying Battle and Bates on their matches.
Jennifer: Baby I’m sorry but I have to go back do work.
Jackson: It’s ok, let’s go.
Jackson paid the meal and they both left the restaurant. They kissed each other and Jennifer smiled at him.
Jennifer: I lo… I like you Jackson. Really.
Jackson: I like you too.

Interviewer: Hello everyone and welcome to WrestlingNews.COM Podcast! Our official guest this evening is one of the number one contenders to the WCF Trios Title… He is… JACKSON “THE FENIX” WHITE! Welcome Jackson.
Jackson: Good afternoon, it’s a pleasure to be here.
Interviewer: First of all let me congratulate you for your performance on the Ultimate Ninth Battle Royal!
Jackson: Thank you. I was really unlucky but Thomas Bates is a great wrestler, he was one of the favorites to win the match anyway.
Interviewer: Speaking of Thomas Bates, let’s talk about Ultimate Showdown! How do you feel about getting some revenge on your former leader?
Jackson: I don’t think you should call it revenge… I just think it is an opportunity for me to demonstrate why DRG shouldn’t hold titles for now. They aren’t even a real brotherhood, for instance, Spencer Adams defeated Gemini Battle a few weeks ago for a People’s Championship match and now they are on the same group. Don’t you think there is some awkwardness between them? I would be furious if a guy that took a chance away from me would suddenly be my “brother”. I hear some murmur around the WCF locker rooms and they’re saying that DRG are a really connected team and that they will most likely retain their titles this Sunday. I don’t agree. It takes time to be a solid group.
Interviewer: It’s curious that you mention that since one of the members of DRG’s team on Ultimate Showdown’s opener match is a newcomer in WCF.
Jackson: Exactly. How can they say that DRG have an advantage over my team when they have an unknown man, except for Deuce Murdock obviously, fighting for them? Besides that, how does he have the right to just replace his brother? But well, I don’t know why I am complaining because this is better for me. Deuce was the one who got DRG the titles, he was the one who managed to pin Corey Black to win the Trios Title for his team. I honestly don’t believe that Doug is as good as his older brother. Because, to be honest, Gonzo was great. Doug? He is just another vulgar newcomer. He’s just like many guys that debuted in WCF and then completely disappeared. He is just another Reginald Dampshaw, another Jack Coston and another Steven Saint. Those are some names that people thought they were going to be something good. Those are wrestlers that had some chances to shine in this company and screwed up. Guess what? My guess is that Doug Murdock will destroy DRG’s chances to proof they are a solid team and that they deserve to be the best on the Trios division. Inexperienced men get nervous. It’s common sense. I’ll use Murdock’s jitters to bring gold to my country.
Besides, he isn’t even a real wrestler! He is a freaking Hockey player! What is he doing on a company with such caliber as WCF? I don’t want to seem arrogant, I am just being realistic. A 20 year-old that plays hockey suddenly is on a wrestling company and has already won two matches? That seems luck to me. And trust me, one day Doug’s luck will end. The amount of reasons for that is the same as the matches Doug has done on WCF. One reason is because Doug is on the same position as Thomas Bates. Their predecessors have already made a statement in the wrestling world. Their family has a huge legacy on wrestling and that puts a lot of pressure on them. Doug Murdock doesn’t have what his older brother has. His older brother was a main-eventer. He had an epic battle against Dune for the top title in this company. How will a young man like Doug enter the ring on Sunday completely focused on the match? I am completely sure he won’t. His mind will be somewhere else. The other reason is because Murdock may even get too cocky for winning all the matches he had on WCF and my friend, arrogant people don’t succeed in wrestling. Self-criticism and evolution are essential when you’re a wrestler.

Matt’s house

Matt is sit on his couch smoking a joint. He is really stoned: his eyes are red and his mouth is completely dry. There are lot of empty beer cans and lots of empty fries’ packs. Someone rings the bell on his house but Matt stays completely motionless. It was Jackson. He peaked through one of the windows and knocked.
Jackson: Matt, open the door. It’s me, Jackson!
Matt: I don’t want to open. I know what you’re doing here and I don’t want to talk.
Jackson: You have to open the door Matt.
Matt: No.
Matt takes another drag on the joint.
Jackson: Seriously? Your wife is kidnapped and is being held somewhere and you’re in your house smoking weed and eating junk food? Are you fucking kidding me?
Matt: Go away.
Jackson: I won’t leave. Sarah is my cousin. She is your wife. Why did I see Doug followed by a few members of your fucking gang when that black dude made you an ultimatum? Are you seriously considering letting Sarah die?
Matt: I am considering getting drunk and high.
Jackson: Oh my fucking god Matt, get your ass over here and open the door. Let’s talk like grownups. Please dude.
Matt got up really slowly and a bit vexed. He opened the door to Jackson as he quickly entered and took the joint from Matt, throwing it to the ground. He stepped over the joint and Matt grabbed Jackson’s collar.
Matt: Why are you bothering me? I have everything under control! Keep calm!
Jackson: How can I be calm? You’re on your couch completely relaxed while Sarah is out there!
Matt: I have a plan Jackson. I always have one. In fact, that plan is being executed at this precise moment. Don’t you think you should trust me bro? I may be an asshole, I admit it, but everything I do ends up well. Sarah will be okay, don’t worry about it.
Jackson: You’re right. You’re a fucking asshole. I don’t understand how this is all normal for you. I don’t even know how you entered on this criminal world. What was on your mind when you decided to create The Dragons? Didn’t you think about Sarah? Besides, didn’t you think about yourself? Does it feel good to live a dishonest life? Do you think you’re a badass by killing whoever you want and never get caught? This doesn’t make any sense Matt. You were nice to me when we were younger when everyone else mocked me. You stood by my side when those bullies were constantly robbing me. How does a good guy like you turn in a New York top criminal?
Matt: Like you said, I was there when you most needed. Don’t be a pain in the ass Jackson, this is the life I chose.
Jackson: Exactly! It was your own choice! You decided to live an illegal life! And for what? Money? Is that what this is about? Are you greedy?
Matt: You don’t understand Jackson.
Jackson: Please Matt, explain to me!
Matt: Fine. Do you want me to tell you the truth?
Jackson: Yes!
Matt: My dad founded The Dragons. I just followed him. He thought me how to win extra money and have a better life. He showed me how to do things without getting caught and how to rule a city full of criminals. He is the president of the Carter Industries and he was the first leader of The Dragons. He left because he got too old to be in the gang.
Matt’s phone started to ring. He answered it and after a few seconds he hung up and got a coat and his car keys.
Matt: Doug found out where Sarah is. He gave me an address. Are you coming or are you going to stay here?
Jackson: I’m coming, I’m coming…
Matt and Jackson entered the car and Matt quickly started the engine and drove.
Jackson: How the fuck did Doug find out where she is?
Matt: They invaded the NY Kings territory.
Jackson: I can see it went well.
Matt: We had a few casualties. But so did them.
Jackson: Fuck Matt. Don’t you see that your father brainwashed you? He seems to me that he’s the bad guy in this story.
Matt: At least my fucking dad is alive. At least he survived to watch his son grow up and be a successful man like he was and currently is. At least he’s not weak.
There was an awkward silence. Matt noticed he shouldn’t have said that. He regretted every word that he just said but it was too late. The silence was interrupted by a fire truck driving at high speed. Coincidentally the truck was driving to the same destination as Matt. There was a fire on the house that Sarah was being held. Matt parked the car and quickly ran to a fireman that was giving the other firemen directions.
Matt: Sir! Sir! Excuse me! Was there a girl inside the house?
There was some crowd staring at the burning house. There was a specie of a barrier dividing the firemen and the people.
Fireman: I’m going to ask you to back off sir, you’re too close to the house.
Matt: It was told to me that my wife was inside this house!
The fireman stood quiet looking fixedly at Matt’s eyes. He then looked to the house still on fire and then down. He pulled out his hat as he turned his back to Matt and told him to follow him. They walked to a black plastic covering something that looked like a corpse.
Matt: Oh no. No. No. No. Please no. Please. Please. Tell me that’s not Sarah. Please. No. No. No. No. This is not possible.
The fireman lifted the plastic and Matt and Jackson were shocked. That was indeed Sarah. Jackson made a few steps back with his hands on his head and started to cry. Matt stood still with his eyes wide open.
Fireman: I’m sorry for your loss sir. We managed to take her outside the house before her body was burnt but she was already dead. We don’t know how she died we’ll have to wait for the autopsy. I’ll give you a moment.
Matt was on his knees. He couldn’t believe that for the first time he had screwed up. He had already lost a few members of his gang but they didn’t matter to him. Doug was the only one that was important to Matt. But Sarah, she was the one that mattered the most to him. He loved her at his strange way but the truth was that he was in love with her.
Jackson: This is your fault.
Jackson got Matt up and punched him right in the face. Matt fell and Jackson mounted him punching him repeatedly and furiously. He was screaming “This is your fault” while doing that. It was a matter of seconds until two policemen and two firemen intervened and separated both. Matt was bleeding from his nose and Jackson was completely possessed. His eyes were wide open and his face was terrifying.
Jackson: Leave me alone! Let me go!
The policemen took Jackson away as he screamed.
Jackson: This is not over Matt! This is not over!
Anthony White’s grave
Next day, 9AM
Jackson slowly arrived the cemetery in New York City in which his father was buried. He stared at his dad’s picture that was on the tombstone and smiled at it, letting a tear roll down his face.
Jackson: Hi dad. I haven’t talked to you in a while. I was really busy. Work stuff you know? Besides, I have a girlfriend now. I know you’re happy for me. But I am not happy. I am devastated. Do you know what happened? I lost another family member. I lost another person whose time to leave this planet came too son. Sarah is gone dad. Sarah left us. Sarah left me. Just like you did. My biggest enemy returned and took another person from me. The reaper is tearing me apart father. I can’t deal with this.
Jackson pulled a gun from his pocket and held it against his own head.
Jackson: I played a game against Death and I lost. It’s time for me to admit that I can’t win this. Besides, who even cares if I die? Jennifer and mom will be sad but they will get better with time. Everything goes better with time. You use to tell me that dad…
Jackson closed his eyes and tried to pull the trigger but he couldn’t. He put the pistol down.
Jackson: It seems that I am inside a maze. Sometimes I find the right path but then a huge wall appears and tells me I have to go back and start over. I was doing fine until now, my paranoia was decreasing, my obsession with your death was disappearing and my depression was beginning to fade away. Seeing Sarah’s corpse laid on the ground made me teleport back to the day that I saw you getting shot. I felt almost the same pain as I did in 2010 New Year’s Eve. Now I have the same hunger of revenge, the same thirst of truth and I feel the same anger that corrodes my brain every day. I barely slept this night. I was overthinking about you just like I use to do. I don’t even have the same energy to keep my relationship with Jennifer. But there is one thing that is not different. I still have the same passion for Wrestling. It has been helping me a lot, dad.
I promise you that this Sunday I will show to every single person that watches WCF that hard work always pays off. I will proof to everyone that you don’t need to be cocky like Doug Murdock to win titles. I will teach Gemini Battle that looks doesn’t matter and I will crush Thomas Bates’s dreams and took the titles from his crew. They are not a brotherhood, father. They are Bates’s group. That’s what they are. The DRG members just don’t realize it, but I am sure that Thomas doesn’t see them as his brothers. He sees them as his employees. He is some kind of mix between a boss and a leader. He motivates them and helps them pushing DRG into the right direction but at the same time he feels that he is better than all of them and that without him there is no DRG.
I don’t even know what Gemini Battle is still doing in DRG. The highlights aren’t even on him anymore. They are on Thomas Bates. In fact, if you pay attention, the focus was constantly on Thomas Bates. Battle didn’t like it at first, he just had to deal with it because he wanted fame by the cost of others. He finally had what he wanted, he conquered the Trios Championship because of Gonzo. I am sure that after Ultimate Showdown, he’ll realize that he hasn’t accomplished anything on DRG and he’ll want to leave. If he chooses to say that only means that he still has hope to win back some title.
I don’t even want to talk about Doug Murdock. He isn’t half of what his older brother was when he was fighting in WCF. He is just a smug child that believes he is invincible. He must be sniffing coke because he’s just a mere mortal. He’s not like Zombie McMorris! He’s easy to hurt. He is different from Henson too, he’s dumb as a fucking rock. And of course, dad, he is a lot different than me. I am not vain as he is and I am an intelligent and hard worker young man.
That’s why my team has pretty good chances to win on Sunday. That’s one of the reasons that’s keeping me here, alive. And of course dad, you’re the only reason I’m still here. I haven’t abandoned you and I never will. I promise you I’ll find out who killed you, I just need some time. I have to go now. We’ll talk later. I love you dad, I miss you so much. Please, guide me.
