I finished RD and got Zayn. Spent about 20 bucks on pick doublers and bouts because there was no way I could have finished it without spending, which seems to be the number one complaint among the 2k boards community.
I couldn't resist, it was the first RD event, I had to finish it.
The biggest positive about the event is you can't pull boosts for resets so every reset is at least a rare, plus you can get up to 4 cards in one pull. I leveled my two Reigns RTG cards to max, and my WM Bryan, and one of my WM Sheamus. That's a lot of leveling in a few days, usually it would take me a week just to do the two RTG Reigns (they are lvl 50 each, takes forever). Plus I pulled an insane amount of SR, probably 10 UR, 3 epics and a Leg Jericho.
The event needs a lot of work but I think it's a cool idea with potential. They either need to increase the bouts or get rid of them altogether, or at least double the amount of picks you get for each bout.
With freemium games you are supposed to be able to achieve everything for free but if you want to pay you can make it easier or faster. It's broken when the only way to complete the event is to pay. PCC has the same issue, you can stay up for 4 days straight playing but if you don't buy titles you can not possibly get the top reward. They are getting too greedy with this game. When I started playing it (before PCC or RTG, or Fusions) it was a lot better for free players. I get that they need to make money to keep developing the game but it seems like the only additions and upgrades they are making to the game are just more ways for them to squeeze money out of it, instead of ways to hook new players and freshen things up for the dedicated players. The Throwback pack is a prime example. They finally add some really cool old school cards and the only way to get them is to buy a $15 pack that randomly gives you a Throwback card from UR to WM tier. What the hell am I gonna do with a UR card except use it for my Champion. Ridiculous and greedy.
