Hi Adrian and welcome to the fed... Got some concerns to go over with my last match, i know i was against the champ and i feel i didnt put my best into the match but it is still a killer of a loss for me cause where am i now? no matter what if orbit won he would have got his rematch in the future but with the trios cup winner getting a shot now im back in the cold... ive said my concerns to others before now but i just wanted to say it here... i dont want to be in the situation where im just going to be forgotten about but i cant help but feel thats going to be the case... will have to wait and see but its not looking good right now... Here's how I look at your situation. First of all, you lost by countout. As Bobby said, you took Orbit to the limits. You didn't get pinned. You didn't tap. Seifer still looks strong as hell. Also as Bobby said, there's Ultimate Showdown coming up where you could really, really break out as a star here. I can't remember how long you've been here but you need to look up the previous Ultimate Showdown matches and be looking towards that. You're a heel. Keep doing what you've been doing and keeping Seifer fresh in everyone's mind. Talk to Seth about the best way to do this without stepping all over the plans for the immediate future. I also want to go back to the way you lost. I don't think that many world title matches end that way unless there's more plans for you in the title hunt. you never know, next PPV could be Orbit-Price-Seifer. Even if it's not and even if you don't leave Ultimate Showdown world champion, there's still War which would probably be in September. There's also the One PPV in December. There's basically opportunities for you every other month for the rest of the year to get another shot at the belt. Maybe the ending was overlooked, but to me that stands out for a reason.

It was a last man standing match GD.
But the idea is still the same. No pin or submission and Seifer can definitely use that to his advantage.

Lot of good ideas in this thread. Lot of damn good ideas. Seifer, you're gonna be just fine, man. We all suffer those emotionally draining losses, but in retrospect they're never as bad as they seemed at the time. Inevitably, even a loss is going to open up doors for you.

Losing makes your stronger. Period. Holding a title and defending it forces you to step your game up, but losing forces you to reevaluate your character and your entire RP style. It's really the only way to GROW both as a character in the fed and as a writer.

No need to apologize Seifer. It's good you're talking about it here and trying to br constructive about it. Some people don't deal with it as well as you are. I've had times where I wanted to quit after a loss but I always ended up feeling better after a few days and always became stronger because of it.

With the level of talent in WCF right now, it's hard to get to that main event level in the first place. So to get there and not win the title, it's perfectly reasonable to wonder what will happen next and to fear getting lost in the shuffle. The thing is, this is WCF, this isn't WWE where they build someone up and when they lose the title shot, they throw them away back into midcard hell (nothing wrong with midcard just talking about how there's so many people). Many guys get to the world title shot, lose, and then do nothing about it and go into a rut and never get out. Your concerns are valid and they will likely help future people who get into your same spot.

I'm going to throw this out there - the World Title scene is very obviously VERY difficult to really get into. You've either got to be lucky enough to win a difficult tournament OR be established as truly dependable. The fact that we have such a strong roster here basically means that when it comes to the World Title, getting shots isn't just about being the best roleplayer, it's about being dependable, having the right buildup behind you, etc.
Seifer, you bypassed a lot - singles Title runs, etc. - because you won an awesome tournament. You've got a lot of momentum but you've also got a lot left to do. There's War and Ultimate Showdown, but there's also various Titles or simply having awesome feuds. Not everyone gets to do a World Title program so that's something to use to your advantage going forward and keep that momentum going.

I've had times where I wanted to quit after a loss but I always ended up feeling better after a few days and always became stronger because of it. I agree with this. Just the fact that you're passionate about keeping your character at the top is half the battle. At the end, it's that passion and hard work that will quell your concerns. You'll be good.

I was a year and a half in, and already held the US, Tag and TV title before I got my first World title shot. I mean besides WAR and Ultimate Showdown, a true World title match. So... it definitely takes time to get to that level, as Seth said. The journey is really where it's at, as cliche as that may sound.

if losses didn't upset you Seifer than you wouldn't be worth anything as a roleplayer anyways. Losses should affect you. I mean I'm pissed my second roleplay wasn't as good as I would have liked myself. I'm sure you're going to take this loss and become a better roleplayer because of it.

The level of talent in WCF is really high right now. Nevermind the world title picture, if you look at the current champions there isn't piker in the bunch. And when you go beyond that and see who is on the roster and doesn't even hold a belt, its pretty impressive. And daunting.

I like to think that Logan fucking up the words "GO FUCK" are him getting too excited over what he's about to say to Seth.

Normally you hear, "Not my ass!" Seth being an iconoclast as always.

Oh god can i get a break sometime... Seriously i felt like i put in some of my best work again this week and again i have lost my chance at gold.... This is a seriously bad loss for me emotionally cause i got my first 5 out of 5 from Odin and i was going in with a lot of hope but again i lost.... No offense to anyone else in the match all are amazing writers but i feel like the only reason i lost was cause i was only able to post 2 rps instead of the 4 that richards posted... Again no offense meant to him cause his work was good reads its just me... atm i feel like no matter what i do i just cant seem to win when it matters and i really wanna know where i am going wrong...
