((OCC Note: I think this may be a long one. Not too long, I hope, but it's to get Alastair with his uncle and him getting back to the WCF Arena before Slam. So, I assuming this takes place on a Thursday and ends on Sunday with David leaving for the WCF Arena for Sunday Slam. Anyways, enjoy!))
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The morning sun begins to flow in, illuminating the cityscape with a crisp, bright light. It's been a few hours since Alastair exhaustingly came in, weary from driving for a few days. After waking up Kyoko and leading her into his old bedroom, he found the living room couch. Out of exhaustion, of course, I quickly fell into the dream world.
Vivid images of the drive, Kyoko, Tasha, all flowed in and out of his subconscious mind. A few collisions between the superego and ids later, David finally opened his eyes. He laid there for a few more minutes, mustering strength to hunch over and wipe the sleep out of his eyes.
Before getting up, David turned to look at his cell phone for any messages. None. Alastair released a heavy sigh, turning his head towards the ceiling. After blinking a several more times, David sat up, stroking a hand over his face and slapping himself with gentle backhands. Hearing a tick-tocking of a clock nearby, he glanced at the old grandfather clock in the corner of the living room. It took him a few seconds to interpret what time it was, but when he took a good look at the position of the hands, his eyes popped open...
David (in thought): Shit, it's 11:30. I'm assuming Uncle is in his study.
Just then, Kyoko waved her hand in his face. This caused David to jump back on the couch...
Kyoko: Morning, sunshine. How's sleepy-head David Alastair doing this morning?
David relaxed a bit, and got up from the couch...
David: A bit tired, but I don't think it'll bother me. Driving all night takes a toll on ya, you know.
While shaking off his sleepiness, he takes a solid look at Kyoko. She was in a seemingly big shirt for her size, with a faded pink color to it. David assumed that she wore pajama shorts, or at least something underneath. It causes Alastair's mind to wander pervertedly for a few seconds, after realizing it, he shakes it off. He looks up to see that her dark hair was down, with a part in the middle. Her eyes was what enticed him the most, with a seemingly hazel-forest green color to them. He sighed again, and headed for the kitchen, which is a good yard and a half away. Something had to keep him awake, especially when talking to Uncle...
David walked past Kyoko, who turned after him. Kyoko smiled playfully...
Kyoko: Heh, you look like the walking dead.
Alastair responded by turning and gave her a thumbs-up...
David: Just getting some coffee, which'll surely bring me to life.
He chuckled a bit as he entered the kitchen to fire up the coffee machine. There, he found the coffee machine already generating coffee. Next to the machine on the counter was a note...
" David,
Haven't I told you to not stay up all night, my son? Anyways, I've taken the liberty to make you something to wake up to. Be sure to see me after you're finished.
Uncle Ben."
Kyoko trailed David the entire way, looked over his shoulder and smirked...
Kyoko: Sounds like he has a sense of humor. It sounds kinda cute...
David, already helping himself to the morning drink, nodded...
David: I'm not sure if it's cute, but Uncle and I have always gotten along somehow. It's weird, unlike most people and their parents, we never got into any arguments or anything during my teenage years. Like, he understood me.
David shrugged...
David: Perhaps that we always talked about stuff. He gave me advice, and I kept it in mind. Sounds strange, don't you think?
Kyoko: Wow, it's like you're the perfect child or something.
David: Ehhh, at times. But it's probably because that he saw some potential in me. Perhaps...I dunno.
Kyoko shrugged, as David sipped on his cup of coffee. Footsteps could be heard coming up from the basement of the house. Kyoko blinked, while David walked towards a door and opened it. All while sipping on his coffee. Out of the door came "Uncle" Ben Rosenzweig.
He was about as tall as David, with brown eyes and greying, yet dark hair, with one peciular strand of hair pulled into a braid. His beard was starting to show some grey. He was wearing a black, long-sleeve, button-up shirt tucked into his black slacks. He turned to David, and smiled.
David set his coffee on the counter, embracing his uncle in a hug...
Uncle Ben: It's been awhile, my son.
David pulled away from the hug...
David: Yeah, It's been forever. I'm glad to see you again, Uncle Ben.
David turned to Kyoko and motioned her to come towards the two men...
David: Uncle, I'd like you to meet my manager, Kyoko Iwamoto.
Kyoko: It's a pleasure to meet you, sir.
Uncle Ben blinked...
Uncle: Manager?
David nodded...
David: Yeah, I came back to the States to 'wrestle'. Mentor said it's a good way for me to 'vent' a little...
Uncle Ben closes his eyes and sighed...
Uncle: Well, if that is what you want to do, David. Just as long you don't kill yourself...
David smiled, and scratched the back of his head.
David: Well, at least it's not as bad as the Exploding Cage Match that I had in Japan...
That remark shot in surprised expressions from both Kyoko and Uncle Ben.
Kyoko: You did what?!
Uncle Ben: David!
David: Don't worry, don't worry, I didn't get hurt...
Suddenly, the door slammed in the distance. All three looked over and saw a young Allison, with bright blue eyes and brown hair down to her shoulders. She wore a purple T-shirt with blue jeans. According to David, she looks to be a good six years old, full of life and energy.
Allison: Grampa Ben! I'm home!
Just as Uncle Ben began to reply, Allison gasped...
Allison: Daddy?
Clearly, she was talking about David. David got on his knees, arms spread outward. Although no words were spoken, Allison clearly ran to her father and they embraced. David kept himself in touch with his 'family' since he spent time with his mentor. Mainly through emails, letters, and occasional pictures. Finally, after a good moment, the father and his child seperated. Allison then blinked at Kyoko a few times and then slipped behind Uncle Ben's pantleg. Uncle Ben frowned...
Uncle: I have to apologize on Allison's behalf, Kyoko. Allison isn't used to other women around her father besides her mother...
Kyoko looked away, and sighed...
Kyoko: It's alright. I'm not here to take her mother's place...
Ensued was an awkward moment of silence. Perhaps, due to the lasting influence of Tasha, Allison just couldn't accept anyone else to be her father's significant other. But Kyoko wasn't there to take David away from her, just to be solely a manager. David stood up, and motioned to Kyoko...
David: Well, I guess that the both of us need to get cleaned up. You know, since we're all here and all...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After that, minutes, hours, and days passed by as if time developed a set of wings. Allison was still uneasy around Kyoko, while David and Uncle Ben tried to serve as a buffer to ease both of them down. Before they knew it, time came to where Kyoko and David had to return for the upcoming Sunday Slam...
David is loading up the Sebring, while Uncle Ben and Allison looked on. As for wrestling as David's current occupation, Uncle Ben wasn't surprised that David was a part of something that can be potentially violent. However, in Allison's case, she didn't want to see her father hurt. But David assured her that he'll do his best to not be involved in some of the more violent matches the WCF has to offer.
Soon, David and Kyoko were all set to go. With his daughter and his uncle looking on and waving, the maroon Chrysler Sebring zoomed off.
As David drove away, he let out a honk on the horn.
Next up on his mind, David focused on what could become a very ugly match really quick. For JoJo and Ace were going to be a handful, as he expected Ripper to not help out his former opponent turned partner. Also, to act in character and all, he would not care for Ripper if he did decide to show up to Slam.
So, in driving back to the WCF Arena, Alastair had things to figure out and quickly...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
((Well, that fills in what my character did this week. No crazy promos or anything, just strictly kayfabe and stuff. Bah! I'll stop ranting now...))
