I’m not going to lie, I’m proud to have been chosen as your opponent. You really showed me what the veterans are capable of. I now have something to strive for as I move on to my next challenge.

But there’s the thing, Brad. Ever since you and Gravedigger beat me those ten days ago, my head hasn’t been straight. I’ve been second-guessing myself. I’ve been making every mistake possible in my daily life. And I’ve taken a lot longer than I thought I would to recover. My partn... My cousin, Alex Haden, is suffering brutal injuries from your hands, and after discussion, we’ve decided that he should take some time away from the company. He’s still in a hospital bed. He can barely move.

So once again, I applaud your efforts. Your hands have perhaps ended the career of an up-and-coming young wrestler, and at the same time have brutally shattered my cousin’s very being. He’s not the same any more, Brad. And I’ll admit, neither am I.

So going into our match tonight, I’m going to go right ahead and tell it like it is. Brad Kane, you will beat me again. Yes, I will try, and yes, I will give it my best, but right now, I am in no frame of mind to wrestle. So I congratulate you on your victory ahead of time. It won't come easy, and you could just as easily kill me as beat me, but congratulations.

My head is out of the game right now, and I’m not performing up to the standards you all have set for me.
