SCeNe, a karaoke bar in Denver, Colorado.
The scene begins rather blurry, but focusing ever so slowly, and as our scene opens, we see nearly a hundred people in a crowded bar, and up on stage is a familiar face, Roy Speede. He’s got his hair spiked and his ring clothes on, and a microphone is in his hand. There is a television screen hanging from the ceiling in front of him, and a pair of gigantic speakers on stage behind him. There are flashing red, orange, and yellow lights coming from the ceiling.
As the camera comes into full focus, we can even hear music in the background, and since Roy is the one with the mic, we can guess that it is he singing. The song being sung is ‘The Show Goes On’ by Lupe Fiasco, with a couple of minor lyric changes made on the fly.
Roy Speede: Alright already
The show goes on all night
Till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder
When they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on
Alright Already
The show goes on all night
Till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder
When they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on
Have you ever had the feeling that you was being had
Don’t that shit that make you mad
They treat you like a slave
With chains all on your soul
And put whips up on your back
They be lying through they teeth
Hoping you slip up off your path
I don’t switch up I just laugh
Put my kicks up on they desk
Unaffected by they threats
Then I kick they fuckin’ ass
See that’s how Richmond made me
That’s how my fam’ly raised me
That glitterin’ may not be gold
Don’t let nobody play me
If you are my homeboy
You gonna be famous see
Go on and put your hands up
When times are hard you stand up
R-O-Y the man
Cause a brand that the fans trust
So even if they ban us
They’ll never slow my plans up
Alright already
The show goes on all night
Till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder
When they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on
Alright Already
The show goes on all night
Till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder
When they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on
As the song ends, Roy sets the mic down, and leaps off the stage, pumping his fist from the adrenaline rush. Roy is receiving high-fives from the fans, and he by the time he makes it to the door, he’s probably met everyone in the bar. As he opens the door, one shorter girl follows him out the door, and another camera catches shot of the two from across the street. We recognize this girl as Abbie Grande. She’s wearing her violet top and blue jeans, her favorite outfit. In front of the building is Roy’s black BMW Z8 convertible.
Abbie Grande: Roy, I didn’t know you could sing like that!
Roy Speede: Neither did I, but the fans certainly liked it!
Abbie Grande: So now what do you have on schedule? I mean, it’s almost eleven, and we still have to drive to Colorado Springs.
Roy Speede: Well, in all honesty, as much fun as singing at the karaoke bar was, the whole reason I suggested we come out here to Denver for the evening was because of this restaurant I heard about from a friend who helped as a fitness manager for the Broncos. I was wondering if you’d like to come to dinner with me.
The look on Abbie’s face turned first to a smile, and then to a mixed look of dissatisfaction and gladness.
Abbie Grande: Oh, Roy. Of course, I’ll come to dinner with you, but next time, don’t be so sneaky. Do you understand me?
Roy Speede: Well, if I can’t surprise you with dinner in Denver, how else should would you prefer me to surprise you?
Abbie Grande: An hour car ride to Denver, although rather romantic, isn’t quite it. I know that much.
Abbie is starting to develop an annoyed tone with Roy at this point, and he notices it. He starts speaking in a more crude tone as well.
Roy Speede: Well then, I’ll hold off on the surprises and be the predictable old me. Would that be better?
Roy chuckles to show that he is joking, but Abbie turns it into a joke of her own, with an upset look on her face acting as though she thought he was serious.
Abbie Grande: No, Roy, it’s your unpredictability that makes you who you are. Without your unpredictability, you’d be just another John Thomas or Justin Turner.
Roy Speede: Sweetie, I was only kidding. I’m not going to be the same-old same-old all the time, like your last boyfriend was. I know how that turned out, and I don’t want to lose you. I promise I’ll leave everyone guessing every time.
Abbie smiles, and wraps her arms around Roy. Her stomach growls.
Abbie Grande: So did you want to go to that restaurant before we head back to Colorado Springs, or what?
Roy opens the passenger side door to his BMW convertible, and lets Abbie take her seat in the passenger seat, before going around to the driver’s side. Abbie plays another joke on Roy, locking the door to the car as he reaches to open it, so he jumps over the door, and lands on his butt in the seat, with his feet on the peddles. The scene fades to black as the two drive off down the street.

The Denver Bistro, a restaurant in Denver Colorado.
Our scene reopens a bit later, as Roy and Abbie are at the dinner table, and each of them has a bowl of pasta. Roy’s appears to be some form of lasagna, and Abbie’s is a baked spaghetti style of dish. The camera gets closer, and we start listening to their conversation between bites.
Abbie Grande: So, Roy, tell me, what are your thoughts heading into Slam?
Roy Speede: There aren’t really many thoughts going through my mind pertaining to the match; not as long as you’re around anyway.
Abbie Grande: Well you only have another twenty hours or so to prepare. I think we may need to cut this date short.
Roy Speede: Why cut the date short? My match is against John Thomas and Justin Turner; there’s not much to prepare for, and I already had one training session this week. What’s there to train for? I’ve seen what they can do in the ring before.
Abbie Grande: Well, if you say so. So what are your plans for the match, anyway?
Roy Speede: Well, I’m going to go into the match, I’m going to beat those two to a pulp, I’m going to get my revenge on those two, I’m going to get the pin, and I’m going to walk out of the match a winner. And I know I’m going to, because I want this win more than they do. I’m on a three-loss streak, and it stops here.
Abbie Grande: Alright, well do your best, Roy, that’s what matters.
The scene fades as the two are enjoying their dinner.
Monday, May 2, 2011. 12:57 am.
Roy Speede’s BMW, being driven from Denver to Colorado Springs.
The scene reopens with the camera shot from the back seat of Roy’s BMW Z8 convertible, with the top down. Roy is in the driver’s seat, and Abbie is in the passenger’s seat, with her arms wrapped around him, and her head resting on his shoulder. She appears as though she may be asleep, but her caramel-colored eyes are still visible through the rear-view mirror. Abbie sits up in her chair, and turns to face Roy, before starting to speak.
Abbie Grande: Roy, you’re being careful, right?
Roy Speede: Abbie, I’m always careful. But come match-time, there’s no excuse for care when it comes to the safety of John Thomas and Justin Turner. I’m going to make sure they learn not to mess with Club Cool. I will make sure they stay down for the three.
Abbie Grande: Well, Roy, don’t let yourself get hurt.
Roy Speede: There’s not a chance of that. John Thomas and Justin Turner are going to be taught a lesson of great importance- don’t fuck with Club Cool.
Abbie Grande: Roy, we’re getting close to the hotel, right? I’m getting a bit tired, and I was hoping that perhaps we could get up early tomorrow to go out for some breakfast.
Roy Speede: We’re almost there, Abbie. But don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of time for breakfast, lunch, and even dinner. If you want, we can call the match afterward dessert; beating Justin Turner and John Thomas will be a piece of cake.
Abbie Grande: Watch that humor, Roy, that’s not funny.
Roy Speede: What? I’m just saying; John Thomas and Justin Turner don’t know what they’re going up against this week. They’ve faced me before, but they’ve never faced me when I’m on the path of destruction. I will make sure those two realize the consequences of messing with us. They’ll get what’s coming to them, courtesy of Roy Speede.
The car rolls up to the hotel door, and Abbie gets out of the passenger’s seat, as Roy gets out of the driver’s seat. A valet service employee gets into the car and parks it for them, and hands them the key.
The scene continues as Roy and Abbie step into the elevator inside the hotel. The elevator begins moving, with the camera inside, and the two step out of the elevator on the third floor, with the camera not far behind. They walk down the hallway, and unlock the door to room 307, and the camera follows them inside. They close the door behind them.
Abbie Grande: Time for a good night’s sleep, before tomorrow.
Roy Speede: Alright, then.
The two both brush their teeth in the bathroom, and Roy takes off his outfit, changes his boxers, and slides under the covers of the bed. Abbie begins digging through her suitcase, looking for something. She finds a white tee shirt, and steps into the bathroom. She steps out a minute later wearing the white tee shirt, and sets her jeans, tee shirt, and bra on the table where her suitcase was sitting.
Roy Speede: Good night, Abbs. See you in the morning.
Abbie Grande: Good night.
The scene fades as the two fall asleep.
Monday, May 2, 2011. 8:39 am.
Hotel room 307 at a hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The scene reopens as Roy is waking up. Abbie is out of the bed, and dressed in the same outfit she was wearing the day before, minus a clean pair of panties and a clean bra. Roy gets dressed in his ring clothes.
Roy Speede: Good morning, Abbie.
Abbie Grande: Well, hello, sleepie-head. I’m glad to see you’re finally awake. I’ve been up for an hour!
Roy Speede: Alright then. So shall we grab some breakfast before heading to the stadium? I don’t want to kick TnT’s asses on an empty stomach.
Abbie Grande: I’d love to. There’s a continental breakfast downstairs, or we can go to the Cracker Barrel across the street.
Roy Speede: Alright, let’s go to Cracker Barrel.
The two walk across the street to Cracker Barrel, Roy’s arm around Abbie’s shoulders. As he opens the door for her, she walks by, and he stops her, and kisses her. They walk inside, and get a table. The scene continues after they order.
Abbie Grande: Well, tonight’s your big match. Are you ready?
Roy Speede: I was born ready. John Thomas and Justin Turner think they know what’s coming, but they don’t. My insight to wrestling has been reborn, and I’m going to use that rebirth to win.

Abbie Grande: Alright, Roy. As long as you don’t get hurt.
Roy Speede: Just as I sang last night, the show goes on. After they get their butts handed to them, the show goes on.
The two kiss over the table, and after a moment, the food is delivered to the table, and the scene cuts to black.
