The sight of the bright sun about to go down blinds the camera. All that could be seen is the bright orange and yellow colors of the sun. The camera starts to shift down away from the sun, as the darkness from a shadow is seen in the form of a house. The camera continues to move in the same direction until the sight of a house is seen. The camera zooms in on the house before the color and details of the house is shown. The camera moves in on a window and goes through it like it was a door. The camera is showing nothing only an empty living room with a flat screen TV and a kitchen big enough to feed an army. The camera continues to look around the home only to find a big window with a view of a giant lake and the sun setting. The sight of stairs shows up in the picture as the camera decided to open the door and walk down the stairs. The sound of punching and of sand bags is starting to get stronger as the camera starts to ascend down the step to what seems to be a basement. The camera stops at the sight of a plastered wall and takes a right as that is the only way to go besides back up the stairs. The lights turn on to show a basement filled with weights, dumbbells, and punching bags. The one thing that matches all over the rest of the items in the basement is a huge wrestling ring in the middle of the basement.
The sight of the wrestling amazes the camera as it studies the ring for as long as it can before looking around the basement again. The beating of the sand bags sounds to get louder and more distinct, and you can make out that it is not sand bags that is being punched but a punching bag itself. The camera rotates to the right to find a man in blue shorts and black details on them. The only other thing on that he has is black Under Armour socks and white safety tape on his hands and knuckles. The rhythm of the hits on the punching bag is like a symphony performed by Beethoven himself. The man shortly hopping like he is dancing with the punching bag. The echoing from the punching bag echo through out the audio of the camera like the camera was inside of the punching bag getting all of the destruction from those taped up knuckles. Interrupting the rhythm of the punches is the sound of ringing from the nearby wooden bench beside the black punching bag. The man immediately stops punching the bag and turns around and picks up his phone and answers it unknowing who it could be.
Donald Deruty: Hello?
Mystery Voice: Hey man, I heard the big news about your match. Congratulations man on the big win!
Donald Deruty: Ohh hey man, thanks for the congrats Marcus. It felt great winning that match last week!
Marcus Moneybanks: I bet it was man, also I watched it live! Yes I spend money to see my good old friend Donald Deruty in the biggest match of his entire career so far. It was a hell of a match man, you really showed that you were ready for the World Championship division.
Donald Deruty: Well apparently the WCF agrees with you because this week I am in a cluster fuck of a match. A #1 Contendership match with 13 other men.
Marcus Moneybanks: Hell man, that is a cluster fuck of a match. I mean that is a big deal! This is your time to shine, this is your time to show the entire WCF that you have what it takes to be above everyone else.
Donald Deruty: Marcus I know dude I have been told that by so many people you dont know how many times I have heard that. So how has life been treating you?
Donald Deruty grabs the bottle of water from the side of the bench and takes a swig of water splashing it in his mouth before swallowing it. He then returns to his conversation with Marcus Moneybanks.
Marcus Moneybanks: Well man, I found a woman a couple of months ago and I think she is the one. I am thinking about proposing to her. I am really read to start a family.
Donald Deruty: That is amazing man, I am proud of you. So when is this proposing going to be?
Marcus Moneybanks: I don't know man just when ever it feels right. I also wanted to ask you something ahead of time.
Donald Deruty: Anything man, shoot.
Marcus Moneybanks: I want you to be my best man at my wedding. You are the best man I ever I have ever met. You are a hell of a man and you would be a man that I would want to be my kids godfather.
Donald Deruty just sits at his bench shocked before he replies back to Marcus.
Donald Deruty: Dude, don't you think you are getting a head of yourself like you said that you haven't even proposed to her yet.
Marcus Moneybanks: You are right, I haven't proposed yet but she is pregnant.
Donald Deruty: Wow, man. Congratulations. Why didn't you tell me earlier? I mean I think I would have liked to known that my best friend is having a kid.
Marcus Moneybanks: Dude she kept it from me, I kinda figured it out with the big belly that she has been getting...man I am going to be a dad! I can't believe it I am totally shocked! I am also nervous as hell man.
Donald Deruty: Dude, don't worry just live it up. You will be a awesome dad!
Marcus Moneybanks: Thanks man, you know it is just a thing that I am worried about.
Donald Deruty: Don't worry you will be fine. You have time to learn and stuff, you don't have to worry at all.
Marcus Moneybanks: Man thanks, I really needed to hear that.
Donald Deruty: No problem, so how has the business been doing?
Marcus Moneybanks: Ohh man just like normal making more money and expanding the company.
Donald Deruty: You better be because I got stocks with you!
Marcus Moneybanks: Haha, smart man!
The sound of a female voice is very quite, as you can only understand that it is a female and nothing that you could understand ,on the other line.
Marcus Moneybanks: Well man thats my lady, got to go.
Donald Deruty: Ok, man see yeah.
Donald Deruty hangs up the phone and places it on the wooden bench beside him. He just sits on the bench with a little smirk of happiness on his face. He then gets up and begins to punch back at the punching bag with the same brute force as before. He then starts to talk while he punches the punching bag, imagining the punching bag as his opponents in his Over the Top Rope match this week.
Donald Deruty: I finally get my chance. The chance of a life time, a chance to be the #1 Contender for the WCF World Championship. I have had to go through men in the Television Championship division, the United States Championship division, and my biggest road block to my career...Torture...and I have beaten all of them. I am have shown my loyalty to the WCF in my year and a half here, and now I get my chance. I am thrilled, I really am. I have let nothing get in my way through that year and a half. Nothing have gotten in my way before, and nothing will now, not even 13 different men. I claimed a couple of months ago that my new destination is the WCF World Championship, and I have gotten that chance...and I am going to make the most of it.
Johnny, you are my biggest threat out of all of the 13 different men that will be in that ring including myself. Johnny, you are a former WCF World Championship holder, but in this match that is nothing, not even the slightest bit of advantage. I mean it isn't one on one in our match, in everyone's case it is one on thirteen. Now those odds aren't very good for either of us. I mean we have men where they have a short alliance with each other. You are one of the few men that I respect here in the WCF, and I would love no more than for it to be me and you in that final two of our match. The meaning of that would just be wonderful, standing across that ring from you with twelve other men on the floor out side of the ring, and it will feel even wonderful when I look at you from over those top ropes while you lay there in disparate thinking of what you did wrong. Enjoy your thoughts of ever becoming the #1 Contender for the World Championship Johnny, because when you are in that ring reality will kick in and you will know that your thoughts of becoming #1 Contender was only a dream.
Donald stops punching the punching bag and looks directly into the camera before continuing on with his talking.
Donald Deruty: Now I go from a man who has had a powerful history in the WCF, to a man that is a man that you could call a star on the rise, the next big thing, but as I see him is a man without a prayer. I am talking about Mr. FPV, what does that even stand for? His initials? A nickname? I mean really what does it mean? Well anyway enough questions, now it is time for some statements. I really do respect this kid, a man that comes in and makes a statement by winning the Hardcore Championship is a man to watch out in my book, but he just doesn't have that special qualities to hold the WCF World Championship. Mr. FPV don't get me wrong, I think you are a terrific man, and a terrific wrestler, but I just don't think you are World Championship material. Some men are Hardcore Championship holders and nothing else, and I think that you are just one of those guys. Stay where you are at, you have had success there, keep up the success within your division of expertise. You don't know what you are getting into here this week, if you don't follow my directions...then do this for me; watch your back at all times! I like to see you win, but this isn't a match that you can win.
Another contender of this fourteen man Over the Top Rope match is a man that I have had a hell of a history with. A man that I have faced a number of times, and even though our differences and what happened in that ring we still respect one and another. Championships have been on the line multiple times when we both walk into that four sided circle and face each other. This man has won many of the matches we have been in, but I have won the last match we have met in until now, and it will stay that way. This man is Doc Henry, the Southern Rogue, the holder of his own Confederate Championship and another man I am going to be in that ring with on Monday night. Doc you are a successful man in this business, you have won the WCF Tag Team Championship so many times that I have lost count. You have also won the United States Championship, but then introduced the Confederate Championship as a substitution. Doc you have proved me wrong, you can stand alone in this business without Johnny Reb, but you can't stand very tall by yourself. You have done nothing other than win the United States Championship, what once? Come on Doc, and now you decide to join some newcomers to form a stable known as Southern Pride. Doc, I am sorry but you are not in position to become the #1 Contender for the WCF World Championship, you are too busying baby sitting John Thomas and Justin Turner. You know what...maybe I was right, you can't stand tall alone! You have proved it to me and you will prove it to everyone else when you are thrown over the top rope on Monday night.
Donald Deruty grabs his water bottle takes a drink and sets it back down on the wooden bench before continuing.
Donald Deruty: Next, we have the beautiful Ana Valentine. A woman that has held the Television Championship and the United States Championship, but what major opponent has she beaten? Doc Henry? Please, I already showed that Doc hasn't got enough to stand alone in the United States Championship, what makes you think that you have any more chance of winning this match Ana? I mean I got to give it to you, you have impressed many people here in the WCF with your championship runs and wins. I am not one of them, you have pulled the easy straw, you have had a easy way to championships considering the men that I have gone through to get this far. I have had to go through Steve Thunder, Creeping Death, Ace Garrison, Brad Kane, and now Torture. Ana you are a wonderful contender for the United States Championship but the most this will turn out to be is a little experience match for you.
Haha, I can't believe this next man was chosen to be in a match this high of caliber. The man that couldn't even beat me in my first match let alone beat me in my second match here in the WCF. He couldn't even stop me from beating Torture last week at Explosion. Chris Avery is a man that I know personally and I know him mentally. I know what moves around in his head. The first man to ever open his mouth on the subject of the #1 Contenders match. Chris Avery is a man that has an excuse for anything, he is what a jury immediately calls him guilty. He calls himself “The Truth” and that he is the underdog for our match and he will do anything to win that match come Monday...blah blah blah BULLSHIT! Avery you are a cruel excuse for a WCF superstar, hell no body even knew you were in the WCF before you joined your buddy Torture in the This Is War. Avery, you are nothing with out Torture and know that I have taken him out you are nothing. You say that you will stop me from winning, that you will stand in my way and defeat me in that ring by throwing me over the rope, well I have some news for you...you couldn't do it when I first started here, and you sure as hell can't do it now that I am experienced, now that I am trained, now that I am stronger than I have ever been. No matter what the odds are you will never beat me in that WCF ring as long as I live!
Next is “The People's Hero” a man that was returned after a short break from the WCF. A man that thought of his old childish ways of playing dress up was underrated, and yes it was! So he called himself...Brian Banks and apparently that didn't work out for him and as quick as the wind he was gone in a heartbeat. Then he returned as his childish self once again and called himself once again Captain Punishment. He became that little five year old that still watches the Batman shows wishing to be just like him. Captain Punishment what are you doing with your fucking life? I mean a man in a superhero costume talking about beating is opponents and calls it fighting crime? I mean would you really want a man with a mask, full body tights, and a cape to become the #1 Contender for the WCF World Championship? I know if I was a fan of the WCF I would be outraged to see it. I mean the WCF isn't rated G, instead of calling people jackasses, bitches, or a son of a bitch, we have to call them a bad person, the bad guy, or the villain. NO! Come on Captain Punishment come back to town when you learn to grow up and to grow some balls and become a man.
Donald Deruty walks over to a door behind the punching bag that he was hitting before and opens the door. He reaches in and pulls out a white towel and places it over his shoulder before continuing on.
Donald Deruty: Then there is a man named Tommy Knoxville. Another man that has returned just like Captain Punishment. Knoxville you haven't shown much of your skills in the ring here. I don't know what makes people think that you deserve this shot, but hey some of us just get lucky. Tommy I really want to know if you think that you can win this match? Your history says that you can't even win a small championship match. You have been in a Tag Team Championship match when you were first here and what did you do? You choked and your partner was furious! If you can't handle a small Tag Team Championship match then how can you handle a #1 Contenders match for the WCF World Championship? Answer that question for me Tommy!
Next is a man that I can't believe actually returned to the WCF. I mean a man that is named after a breakfast company. Prince Jimmy Dean. Jimmy, I have once again faced you before in the past, but I have not faced you since your return. Prince, I thought of you as a hell of a man until you returned and became an ally with the no good This Is War team. This action from you has disgusted me so much that I lost all the respect I had for you before. Prince you were never a man of big name championships, to be honest I think the only championship you have ever won is...the Tag Team Championships that you won with the help of a future WCF World Championship holder Chad Evans. What have you done to show yourself to the WCF to show your true power? Nothing, you have done nothing, and when you have won a championship it was with Chad. Prince you are unfit to be in this match of epic proportions, you are unfit to be a WCF superstar. The only thing you can ever be decent at is being a so called “Prince”.
Nate Bishop, a man that is a member of the DangerTainment. A group that only cares about winning, and they will do anything to get that win. Well from when I was in that no good selfish group I learned that many of the members don't interfere in matches that are for championships or in that category of matches. So Nate do you really think that you can beat thirteen men all by yourself? Nate I haven't seen you in some in ring action, but I have heard that you are one of the dirties wrestlers there are. As you people can tell by my past feud with Torture is that I hate people that play dirty. Nate you better watch yourself in that ring on Monday because I don't like dirty players. So think before you act Nate because I wont take too much pitty on you because it is only one of your first matches here in the WCF.
Next, is a rookie that showed up just little more than a month ago. Carnage you are only 1-2 and those aren't good odds for a man in the ring with 13 other men and half of them are full blooded veterans here in the WCF. Carnage I know you are a man for hardcore but in this match there will be no hardcore of your part. This match is for the big dogs Carnage how about you just jump over that rope when you get in because as people has claimed, they don't think that you can stand a chance with us...the future of the WCF.
Donald Deruty wipes his forehead with the white towel and takes a swig of water from the water bottle.
Donald Deruty: Steeltoe Joe...who? Another newcomer coming into the first couple of months of his WCF wrestling career and thinks that they are going to take the place by a storm. Well let me tell you something Joe, I thought that when I first came into the WCF. You know what, I was very wrong. In reality it took me over a year to get into the big time championships. Steeltoe, you have dreams of becoming a real up and coming star really quick here in the WCF. Trust me Joe, it is only a dream.
Next in line we have a man named Tek? I man that I have done little background on and all I can find is he is a man that thinks he is a gangsta. I mean really Tek, if you didn't do home work on me, I use to be from a bad neighborhood that was filled with men like you and much, much, worse. I use to deal with guys like you when I was twelve. Nothing that you bring to the table can surprise me. I have seen every move of your kind. I have been going through people like you, like I was a bulldozer. Tek trust me when I say I know your kind and you aren't much.
Now finally there is one left of the bunch. The very last man mentioned in the fourteen man battle royal for the spot as #1 Contender. That last man is Eric Price, a man that has had everything handed to him. A man born of money, well I will tell you what Eric nothing will be handed to you on Monday. This is too big for you to be able to buy anyone out of this match either, so get the ideas out of your head. Eric have fun with your matches with the little boys of the WCF, but in this match you are with the big dogs. That goes for all of you newcomers, watch your back at all times!
This is to all of you veterans in this match. I am not playing anymore, this is time for me to shine. This is my time in the spotlight. I have worked too hard to let this opportunity go away with out me making a statement. I will tell you now WCF, I am the future of the WCF, not the former future Jay Price, not Doc Henry, not Ana Valentine, but me...Donald Deruty. I am ready to give up anything and everything to win this match on Monday and to become the WCF World Champion. I have already proved what I would give up to just beat one man, no championship included. What do you think I would do for the top championship here in the WCF? What would I do to be at the top of that list? That is a question for you all to wait and see, and for me to wait for the right time to show you. Everyone have a nice weekend because come Monday, my hand will be raised with all of the rest of you thirteen contenders laying outside of the ring, dreaming of what could have been if you were me.
Donald Deruty turns back towards the punching bag. He then throws down his towel and his water bottle on the bench before beginning to pound on the punching bag some more in the same rhythm as before. The camera zooms slowly out from where it came going backwards as it fades to total blackness right as the camera meets the bottom of the stairs. The sound of the punching bag taking the hits from Donald's taped up knuckles echoing before slowly disappearing into mid air.
