Master Splinter is not a ninja...(SLAPS BORDERLAND) He's a Rat!! With Ninja knowledge. Don't think I've ever seen him do any fighting actually...I need to look that up. Splinter is old.

technically. Splinter was a highly skilled master of Ninjutsu...which would make him a ninja pretty much. that is why they are called NINJA turtles. so i think Shane should get a free kick to the nuts for that slap. Quite so. You don't get to be a master of anything without having practiced the art yourself. And lots of martial arts masters can do really amazing stuff when they're old, owing to years of mental and physical discipline. According to legend, O-Sensei (Ueshiba Morihei, founder of Aikido), for example, once instructed a group of students to attack him en masse; he vanished, and reappeared on the other side of the dojo. Tell me that's not ninja...  Also, I'm pretty sure Splinter taught the Turtles their art (and if I'm not mistaken -- which I could be, because it's been a LONG time -- he also instructed Shredder when both were far younger. That's pretty much a staple of martial arts fiction -- favored student goes bad, disappears for a while, then comes back to wreak havoc on his former master...) Therefore, ninja. ;D |

((geeking out alert))
In the animated and comic version, splinter and shredder were both students of one master, and fought over the love if a woman.
In the movie, splinter was a pet of shredder's fellow student/rival who faught over a woman...

Ah...yes... It's all coming back to me now. My memory must be going in my old age... I saw like, part of one of the movies, and didn't much care for it. And it's been more years than I care to admit since watching the cartoons (and I mean the original ones from the 80's, not any of the recent updates....) |

with all-ll-ll this talk, is making me feel old. I wasn't really into that stuff, in the eighties. I liked Voltron Thundercats, stuff like that. But, the more I got older, the more I stopped watching that. Especially when cable came around. I watched more sports than cartoons.

with all-ll-ll this talk, is making me feel old. I wasn't really into that stuff, in the eighties. I liked Voltron Thundercats, stuff like that. He-Man and Thunder Cats OWN still to this day. They talked about making a Young He-Man Movie, Thunder Cats too but never heard if they were scrapped plans or what. They are suppose to be doing another Live Action Ninja Turtles and with the technology these days...THAT WILL BE DOPE!!
