The scene opens with the current WCF World Champion standing in what appears to be an empty room with a single overhead light beaming down from the ceiling that resides a few feet over the Italian's head. The beams of light from the lone bulb cast a shadow over Guiliano's face and accents the gold faceplate on the leather strap that is fastened around his waist. A smirk forms across his lips as he looks into the lens and lightly taps front of the prize at his torso before speaking.
“It seems that the masses think that I am ignoring my opponent this week or taking him for granted. That question has been asked as to why he is the one that has been placed in the World Title match this Sunday and to be completely honest, I am asking the same question. However, it's not an answer to that question that is the goal for me this week in St. Louis. Retaining the title that I worked so hard for is the goal each and every week and this one is no different.
Fort Knox, you and I may have affluence and wealth in common, but that is where the similarities end. You have developed quite the reputation for running your mouth and flaunting your riches, but for what reason? Is it for these women that you seem to somehow attract despite your shortcomings as a professional wrestler? Is it to make you feel better about yourself after your numerous defeats since arriving here in the WCF? Perhaps it allows you to put a check mark in the “wealth” column when you are being compared to your opponent? I have no idea what compels you to act the way you do, but this week you are facing a man that knows what it is like to have the world in his palm and simply write checks when there is something that he wants. I've been doing it for years and don't plan on stopping any time soon despite the challenges and accusations that face me due to my prominence in the business field.
Mr. Knox, I have no idea why Seth wrote your name on the top of the card next to mine nor do I care, but know that you are entering a place and being given an opportunity in which you have never had and may never have again. You dub yourself Fort Knox, yet you lack the main component that is associated with your name. The real Fort Knox is a great symbol in Kentucky that represents the ability to be impregnable and inside that edifice lies the majority of the gold in the United States. How you were given this name or thought that you could accurately represent it, I don't know but you are anything but an impregnable force here int his federation and I definitely don't see any meaningful gold in your possession.”
More lights, one by one, begin to come on in the room in which Guiliano is standing. As each one begins to glow, it illuminates a sizable picture and a title belt that lie below. The framed pictures show Guiliano in a victorious pose, raising a title over his head or wrapping it around his waist, while the belt depicted in the picture is the one that rests behind a glass case below. The Sicilian extends his arms and lets the camera take in the numerous titles that are displayed in the trophy room of Guiliano before stopping on the centerpiece of his collection, a recent photo of the current champion hoisting the belt high over his head after his victory at Ten.
“Here's my collection of gold right here, Knox. You may not care much about the rest of collection but there is one piece that I know you have your eye on. Well, take a good long look at it and remember what it looks likes, maybe even take a picture of it, because it is the last time you will be seeing it. The only security I need to protect is my skill, ability, and presence inside a wrestling ring and I don't think you have what it takes to overcome any of those three. Flaunt your gold chains, rings, and watches all you want, but the only gold that matters in this organization is the World Title belt and it won't be making the trip to Fort Knox in St. Louis. I'm not ignoring you or taking you for granted, but I have much bigger things to worry about and much bigger threats to my World Championship. I have yet to earn a win since raising this belt over my head and I it will feel good to finally get that monkey off my back and successfully defend my title. People are doubting my run to the WCF's top title and none of that talk will even after I win on Sunday night, but it will feel good to at least silence the talk of not having that title defense that seems to provide ammunition for my doubters.
Knox, you can assure me that you are going to give it all you got and come at me with your “guns a blazin'” but you are bringing pistols to a serious gun fight here. The only thing I know how to do is give it my all inside the wrestling ring no matter the opponent. It doesn't matter who is in the opposing corner, I will treat them like they are the biggest threat to my title and that I have something to prove. Fort Knox, I will come into this match just like I did when I faced Chad Evans at Till Death Do Us Part and just like I did at Ten when Logan, Torture, Brad Kane, and others were waiting for me inside that squared circle when I made my way down the ramp. Bring everything you've got and then some, Knox. You think Trent Townsend proved to be a thorn in your side? You haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the top talent in the WCF. Seth is throwing you from the frying pan straight into the fire and you have a snowball's chance in hell of making it out alive. Bring your guns, bring your A game, bring every friend you've got. You are going to need them when you finally face me on Sunday night, especially when my title is on the line.”
Guiliano unlatches the belt from around his waist and tosses it over his shoulder, exiting the room and entering a hallway as the lights go out behind him on the collection of championship belts that surrounded him. Allen proceeds down the hallway, snagging his black gym bag from the floor and letting it slide up his arm and over his other shoulder before speaking once again.
“Sure, my title will be up for grabs this week, but let's move on to the bigger picture. Chad Evans has shown he has what it takes to compete at the highest level here in the WCF and has become almost an overnight sensation since our matchup at the pay-per-view. The two of us have unfinished business and hopefully it will be taken care of the next time we step into the ring and go toe to toe for the World Championship. Even if a winner is crowned and there is finally some closure, the hatred will continue. Too many words have been exchanged and the actual bout between the two of us was one of the best that a WCF audience has seen. Torture may be thought of as my biggest nemesis, but an argument can be made to throw Chad Evans' name into the mix. No one has pushed me as hard as Chad and now that I know what he brings to the table, I will be better prepared and finally but an end to this argument of who is the better man.
Not only do I have Chad Evans to worry about, Torture has shown his face once again and that six months will be over before we know it. Although I am disappointed at Torture's little proposition of $1 million for my World Title, he hasn't dropped any on my list of priorities. The WCF World Championship race has clearly become a three horse race and I happen to be leading. Things in this federation and this business change quickly and I will have to be keeping my head on a swivel 24 hours a day or I risk losing everything that I have worked so hard for. I love wrestling fans and certainly those who come to the arena each and every week in Slickie T gear, but the life of a professional wrestler is a “What have you done for me lately?” kind of business and a big losses or several smaller ones strung together can take your name from the marquee to a footnote in the program in the blink of an eye.”
Guiliano continues to make his way down the long hallway that is adorned with reminders of his home country. His wingtip shoes click over the marble floor under his feet as he pushes forward on the gold handle that is attached to a lavish wooden door and makes his way outside. He rests his bag on the back of a dark green Ducati motorcycle and unzips it quickly, letting his World Title belt slide down his arm before carefully folding the straps behind the nameplate and slipping it inside. A quick pull of a strap across the back of the motorcycle secures the bag as he reaches down and plucks a helmet from the side the vehicle. Just before placing it over his head, he chuckles and shakes his head.
“I guess I should apologize for the quick exit, but I am a busy man this week and I am at a loss of words for what has been happening over the last several weeks here in the WCF. It sees that as soon as I rid myself from one problem, another emerges and rears its ugly head. There are no alliances for me to compete with this time around, but I would almost prefer knowing that the threat stands directly in front of me rather than having to watch myself from both sides. Chad Evans and Torture will stop at nothing to take this WCF World Title away from me and it is now my mission to protect it. St. Louis is the next stop of way to Dallas, Texas where once again I will face Mr. Evans. However, this time he will have Bobby Cairo in his corner and I will have to fend off two men by myself.
The American Airlines Center will be at capacity and I expect an even better match that the first, but what odds must I overcome to finally get the respect I deserve as the new face of this federation? I have taken down the best that Seth Lerch has thrown at me, yet I am constantly reminded of my shortcomings and defeats. They are few and far between, but those are the matches that I remember, that my opponents remember, and that each and every fan remembers. There aren't many people out there who can tell you who I earned my first victory against or even who I defeated to win my first title, but they can quickly tell who who the first man to pin me was and what happen in my first World Title shot. Life isn't fair and neither is the world of professional wrestling, but this is the life we choose and titles are what we strive for and in order to be the best, you have to face adversity. It is inevitable, but what separates the stars at the top from those at the bottom of the World Title picture is how we handle that adversity and how we choose to overcome it. I have risen to the occasion before and I will have to do it once again, but those confrontations will have to wait. Fort Knox, you had better be building an army because the next man that you will see step through the ropes is the current WCF World Champion. Are you really ready for what you are about to go through? Sure you will tell everyone that you are and try to convince that you belong in the ring with the best in this business, but your track record is anything but impressive. Take all the opponents that you have faced since your arrival here in the Wrestling Championship Federation, roll them into one, and add the fight of the fiercest animal you can think of and you will come close to having what you will be up against Sunday night in Missouri. Enjoy your chance, use it to springboard yourself up the WCF ladder, but don't think for a second that you truly belong.”
Guiliano quickly starts the motorcycle and quickly launches himself from view with a quick flip of wrist. Black tire marks and the smell of burning rubber are all that remain as the scene fades to black.
