"Quick To Back Down" by Bravehearts is playing on the CD player in the car as Chester puts on his right turn signal. The car turns into a driveway of a modest-sized house. The car slows to a stop behind a red Corvette in the driveway. Chester turns the car off and opens the door, stepping out. He's dressed in a pair of blue shorts and a white, generic t-shirt to match the hot weather of Phoenix, Arizona. Chester walks up to the porch as the door opens. An older woman comes out and is ecstatic at the sight of Chester.
Woman: Oh Chester, we're so glad you're home.
Chester walks up the steps and hugs the woman and kisses her on the cheek.
Chester: I'm glad I'm here, too, Mom. Is Dad here?
Mom: Yes, he's here. He's out back frying up some hot dogs and hamburgers with Brian. Have you heard from your brother, John?
[Background Info: Chester is the youngest of three. His oldest brother, Brian, used to be a pro wrestler and is one of the reasons why Gravedigger and Chester got into the sport in the first place. Unfortunately, an in-ring accident ended his career a few months after it started. Gravedigger is the middle child and his real name is John.]
Chester: Nah, I haven't heard from him. The closest I've heard is when you said Jessie called you the other day. You heard anymore from her?
Chester's mom shakes her head no.
Mom: No, I haven't, son. She called our house and used that star 67 thing or whatever it is that you can use to block your number.
Chester's mom looks past him at the car with a curious look.
Mom: Where is that deranged, weird friend of yours? Doughboy?
Chester laughs.
Chester: No, mom, it's Dobbie. He's checking out The Graveyard tonight to see if John is at the club. He's going to a few other of his hang-outs.
Chester's mom gives him another hug.
Mom: Well, hopefully he'll turn up soon. We're glad you're here. I'm going to go back to the kitchen and finish fixing our salads. You go out there and say hey to your father and your brother.
Chester smiles at his mom as they both go into the house. Chester splits ways with his mom when they pass the kitchen. Chester opens the back door and steps out onto a patio. To the left is a grill with hamburgers and hotdogs cooking on top of it. Suddenly a football comes flying through the air and Chester just barely notices it and catches it. Out in the yard to the right are two men, Chester's dad and Brian. Chester tosses the ball to his brother and the three men walk up to each other. Chester high fives his brother and shakes his father's hand who claps him on the shoulder.
Dad: Glad you're here, son. You speak to your mother yet?
Chester nods.
Chester: Yeah dad, she's finishing up the salads, told me to come out here and hang out with you guys until supper's ready. How you been?
Dad: I've been doing good, son.
Chester nods to Brian.
Chester: What about you, big brother?
Brian: Good. You?
Chester: Same old, same old. You not heard from John either?
Brian shakes his head no.
Brian: Nope, I have talked to him once since Christmas. It was just casual talk then.
Chester looks annoyed.
Chester: Well this is getting kinda annoying. Mike's kinda disappeared, too. Everything's basically fallen apart since the pay-per-view. I'm guessing you guys caught it?
Chester's dad nods his head.
Dad: Yep, of course we did. Your mother and myself rode out to Brian's house and watched it with him. That was so brutal and dangerous looking.
Chester smirks.
Chester: Yeah, but we're fine. You know us. Can't nothing put the Borroughs brothers down.
Chester's dad smiles and laughs, nodding. Chester looks off somewhere else.
Chester: Well, we gotta just keep moving on until we find John. Maybe he'll show up this week at Slam during mine and Dobbie's match.
Brian: Yeah against the Team of Treachery. What's the deal with those two guys? A couple of loonies if you ask me.
Chester: Yeah, they are. Putting Dobbie next to them, he seems kinda sane. Jack of Blades is a psychotic lunatic. I don't really know what to make of him. We've never really had any interaction with him at all. Logan, on the other hand, is someone we're familiar with. We still don't even think he's much of a threat.
Dad: Both your teams lost last week.
Chester nods.
Chester: Yeah this should be an interesting match seeing as how they're both distracted with the whole business with Creeping Death while myself and Dobbie are distracted with the disappearance of John.
Brian: Not too distracted I hope?
Chester shakes his head.
Chester: No, last week was an eye opener. Dobbie and myself need to get our heads right before this match. We need to forget about John being MIA. No matter if we walk through that curtain with him or without him, we need to be ready for them. JoB is no pushover and Logan can be deadly when he's got someone watching his back. Even this new Logan isn't someone to be taken lightly.
Chester's dad nods his head.
Dad: Yeah. Well, the food is almost ready. How long you gonna be here?
Chester: I gotta head out in the morning. Luckily the show is only a couple of hours away. I'm gonna meet Dobbie at a place near the arena where we'll get some food and then do a little bit of working out before heading to the arena to check-in.
Dad: Good, glad to have you here again, son.
Brian claps Chester on the back and the three men head over to the grill talking about sports as the scene fades to black.
Woman: Oh Chester, we're so glad you're home.
Chester walks up the steps and hugs the woman and kisses her on the cheek.
