Tag Team: ‘Superkick Uncensored’
Nicknames: ‘The Neon Dragons of the Final Apocalypse’, ‘The Lord Gods of the Superkick’
Members: Roy Speede, John Rabid (Tag) with Bonnie Blue (Trios)
Style: ‘Messiahs of the Superkick to an epic soundtrack’
Entrance Music: ‘Terminator 2 Theme’ by Brad Fiedel
In-Ring Attire:
Reinterpreted versions of their standard gear. Long black tights with teal and white ‘NEON DRAGONS’ and ‘SUPERKICK UNCENSORED’ logos replacing their regular liveries. Both Rabid and Speede wear unbuttoned black hooded vests to the ring with ‘Superkick Uncensored’ written across the back in teal and white, these are removed before the match. The tights themselves have teal tassels, while their black gloves and kick pads are stencilled with a teal and white stylised dragon logo on each leg to complete the look.
Entrance:
The lights within the area strobe then wink out as we’re plunged into an uncertain darkness. Static crackles on the Jumbotron, eventually clearing to show a retro eighties neon VHS style logo for, ‘Echelon Home Video’. This is followed by an aerial shot of a post apocalyptic border town where ‘Terrordome’ (changed to avoid copyright infringement) is underway. The jobber tag teams within the crudely fashioned iron structure inexplicably cease fighting as they hear an approaching heavily armoured battle tank, it’s caterpillar tracks hissing off screen as if possessed by an unearthly mechanised beast. The cinematography within this retro panorama is exclusively confined to a colour palette of either teal or purple.
Over this we hear the voice of Orson Welles; Unicron himself booms out from the speakers as the following text scrolls on screen, accompanied by a familiar synth cord playing beneath...
The Year is 2019...
Jobber Tag Teams have multiplied by 400%.
WCF is now a sealed off, maximum security radiation wasteland.
Only one force can restore law and justice to a Federation that has none.
They are: ‘The Neon Dragons of the Final Apocalypse’.
They are…
Superkick Uncensored.
That synth cord finally blossoms to become ‘Terminator 2 Theme’ by Brad Fiedel as the Superkick Uncensored battletank finally appears within the arena itself, emerging from behind a plume of billowing stage smoke. The tank’s custom built visage is a nightmarish fusion of German Panzer with road warrior aesthetic. John Rabid (as always) drives the vehicle, with Roy Speede and Bonnie Blue riding shotgun, waving stylised SKU flags as the crowd cheers on their chaotic neutral tag team of the year.
Kyle Steele: Weighing in at a combined weight of four hundred and twenty three pounds, ‘The Silver Lining’, Roy Speede…’The Serpent’, John Rabid. They are ‘The Neon Dragons of the Final Apocalypse’. They are…’SUPERKICK UNCENSORED!’
Crowd: SKU! SKU! SKU!
The Neon Dragons climb off their vehicle, skinning the cat as they dramatically enter the ring. A moment later they’re climbing a ring post each to soak up the waves of adulation raining down on them.
Standard Tag Moves:
> ‘Blood Rush’ (High and low combination Superkick/leg sweep)
> ‘Closed Casket’ (Spike Piledriver)
> ‘Speede Kills’ (Poetry in Motion finishing with a BOOM! HEADSHOT Superkick)
Finishers:
1/ ‘Time Splitter’
Roy hits the ‘Fast Forward’ (Spinning Fisherman Suplex) With Rabid following that up with a Phoenix Splash pin. Or with Bonnie it’s a ‘Sonic Screwdriver’ (springboard corkscrew Senton)
2/ ‘Shadow Machine’
Bonnie/Roy lifts their opponent up with an Irish whipped flapjack, while Rabid simultaneously springboards off the ropes, connecting with a top rope springboard version of Rabid’s ‘Kingdom Krusher’ move (a one handed leapfrog bulldog) to complete the manoeuvre.
