Scott Slayer is at home in his bedroom listening to Love Me or Leave Me by Three Days Grace. He just heard the news about his sister, Kennedy Matthews, leaving WCF. He appears happy and ecstatic on the outside, but he’s devastated on the inside. He’s wearing jeans, a black t shirt, and red shoes. Scott Slayer starts thinking back on the memories he and Kennedy shared.
Scott Slayer and Kennedy are walking backstage together after they announced their partnership at Helloween.
Scott Slayer: Maybe this partnership can work. I didn’t think so at first but you proved me wrong.
Kennedy Matthews: I told you it would work. We’re taking the world by storm together.
Kennedy and Scott are laughing and talking while leaving the arena.
Scott Slayer is still having flashbacks about Kennedy as the song still plays. The lyrics almost speak to Scott as he’s thinking about her. The lyrics say, “Will you love me or leave me forever, will you love me or leave me forever, will you love me or leave me forever?”
He remembers him and Kennedy attacking DW Wolf, in the main event of Slam in a tag match with her, then when he lost at Payback. Scott then remembers when Kennedy broke the news to the world that she was just using him the whole time. He remembers when she and himself were putting each other through Hell at ONE for the Hardcore Championship. He remembers when he was sitting in the ring alone as Kennedy was in the stage still holding her championship high above her head. Scott then starts talking to himself.
Scott Slayer: She causes me more pain than I could ever imagine. Yet, I still care about her, and I still love her. I guess this is what the true meaning of family is. Why do I still miss her? I know I hate her, but at the same time, I don’t want her to leave me. I was joyful when me and her teamed up, but then, she threw it all away! And for what?! I was broken, and I still am, but even though she won’t admit it, I know that she still cares. But, now I may never get to ask her that question as she is now gone. What am I saying? Fuck you Kennedy!
Scott picks up the picture of him and Kennedy. It was when she won the Hardcore Championship. Scott wanted to win it, but he was happy for his sister. Scott then angrily throws the picture at his bedroom wall. He picks it up as the picture frame is broken. He starts to break down and starts sobbing. Someone knocks at his front door. Scott turns off his music and wipes his tears away. He answers the door. It’s Stephen Singh. Scott opens the door as Stephen walks in.
Stephen: What a week huh Scotty? We’re now one step closer to gold. Just imagine when we win it. We could go after any championship we want. It’s a boyhood dream come true.
Stephen can tell that Scott is upset.
Stephen: Listen man, I know why you’re mad. Even though she was a pain, and quite an arrogant snake, you still care about her. Love is a crazy thing man. But, I don’t like this. You haven’t been yourself. You’re a shell of the man of you were. I want the old Scott Slayer, I don’t like the new you, the new you sucks. I’m going to leave and we can train in the morning. Just get your mind right, go find yourself.
Stephen gets up and grabs his coat, then leaves out the door. Scott Slayer is thinking about what Stephen just said.
Scott Slayer: Man, he’s right. Look at me. I’m a mess. I’m about war, chaos, and anarchy, not love, peace, and family.
Scott sees his reflection in the mirror, he sees a broken man. He picks up the picture of him and Kennedy and throws it at his mirror, shattering it.
Scott Slayer: It’s time to slay bitch.
Day 2: Training Day
Scott and Stephen are wearing jogging suits. They aren’t at the gym, they’re at Scott Slayer’s old house. Stephen looks confused about them being there.
Stephen: So let me get this straight. We pay for a flight to come all the way to Detroit, when you said we’re going to train, but we come to your childhood home? I thought you hated this place.
Scott Slayer: I do. I hate everything about it. 9 years, 9 years man. I was here being abused, bullied, bruised and beaten until I could barely breathe. Do you think for a second that Matt or John has as much dedication and ambition, that they go to the darkest place they can find, and train there for a whole day? No, they don’t. Now, let’s go inside, and let’s get to work, because after today, we’re kicking their asses.
Scott and Stephen enter and begin running around the house. They start kicking and punching the harsh and thick wood of the house. Their hands are bleeding, they are sweating crazily, they’re legs are shaking. After a long day of training, they sit outside on the porch of the house.
Stephen: I’m proud of you man. I told you to go find yourself, unleash the Scott Slayer we all know. The one about chaos, and being hardcore, and true anarchy. To be honest, I thought me and you were going to get at each other’s throats. You hate authority, you call out our company ever day, you shit talk on everyone. I, however, enforce the rules here. I’m the GM here in WCF. If you weren’t such a commodity, if you weren’t one of, if not the best here, in the ring, on the microphone, we probably would’ve fired you.
Scott Slayer: Trust me, I know you would. But, you can’t. Every week, when my entrance music hits, when the fans cheer, they don’t cheer because they love me. They cheer because they’re like, “ Oh shit, what is he going to do? Oh shit what is he going to say?” But the reason I’m such a pain in this company’s ass, is because some, of not all of what I say is true. I am the best. It’s like there’s some hierarchy here. Guys like Corey and Jayson, at the top. Guys like me and you, at the bottom. We don’t need a creative team, we don’t need promo scripts, we don’t need producers trying to water down our matches. This company hates that. You know why? They can’t pay their talentless and mindless monkeys to do their meaningless jobs. Matt and Jazzy listen to them. That’s why they’re so underwhelming when they can be doing so much more. They dumb their selves down with meaningless music at bars and nightclubs, and ridiculous memes on the internet to make little kids laugh. Why do you think they became Tag champs. The WCF pushes for them because little kids sing along to them, and laugh at their jokes, and love their stupid ring skills and weak promos. As a matter of fact, I called John our for him being a washed piece of shit. He said that I’m mistaking him for his tag team partner, Matt Draven. So he called out his own tag partner on social media, Matt didn’t care, because he knows it’s true. Matt is washed up already as a rookie. I’m not becoming bland, and dull and relying on quick jokes to stay relevant. Jazzy just relies on his stupid songs. They’re a bunch of one trick bastards. But, for some odd reason everyone is falling for it. But, it’s going to be a cycle me and you break. We’re taking the not only WCF, but wrestling in general back to its roots. But, we cannot do that with you being Corey’s puppet.
Stephen: I’m no ones puppet. I’m my own man. I work for me!
Scott Slayer: You sure? They tell you what decisions to make as GM don’t they? You’re the on screen general manager not the boss behind the scenes. You know what, let’s go before we miss our flight. Actually wait. I have to do something.
Stephen: What? Man we have to go!
Scott Slayer grabs his lighter from his pocket and throws it at the house. The house lights up with ashes falling.
Stephen: Are you crazy?! What is wrong with you?!
Scott Slayer: What’s not wrong with me? No more pain, and no more suffering from this place. Let’s go to airport.
Scott and Stephen leave and get in their car, and drive.
Day 3: It’s done
Scott Slayer wakes up in his bed to a voice. It’s Shadow again.
Scott Slayer: Shadow? What’s going on?
Shadow: She’s gone. It’s over. I’m coming back home.
The scene fades out to black.
