The busy pavements of a big city. Mikami steps out of this mass of people and walks towards a constantly backpedalling cameraman.
Mikami: My first WCF loss. I did not expect it to come so soon. I said beforehand that the match meant nothing to me, and I was telling the truth, as always. I do not care that I lost. I do care that my tag partner, Chris Avery, did not give his complete effort.
Mikami and the cameraman cross the street. Mikami seems oblivious of the human and automotive traffic around him, focused solely on the camera lens.
Mikami: And then, Chris Avery gave the most vapid, generic promo and interview I have ever seen from someone competing for any sort of title. And I thought I was bad at being entertaining! “Gee golly whiz, I'm sure going to do my best, and I'm going to win a championship!”
He gets a few looks from the people around him after the absolute worst Chris Avery impersonation humanly possible.
Mikami: Hard work has to be applied universally, Avery. You did not even try to give a good interview, you did not try to win last week, and I do not believe that you can just flip a mental switch and suddenly give a proper effort this week. Sloth is a sin. In my mind, you have become as guilty as Logan or Gravedigger or anyone else in the WCF. The difference is, you have wronged me personally.
The cameraman stumbles a bit as he is now backing up an incline. They have left the crowded streets and are now in a area of less bustle and more vegetation.
Mikami: I am not going to tell you some cliché about how I am more motivated to win our match than before. I still think so little of the threat you pose that I decided to take a break and get some fresh air. A gang of hooligans could come up to me with tire irons and lead pipes, break my arms right now, and I would still beat you at Explosion. You may have caused me to lose a tag team match, but I am still undefeated in singles competition, and plan to be for a long time. No, I do not need any other special motivation to beat you. You only changed one thing about my attitude. I made a promise to do something in order to get this match booked. Something I found personally distasteful. That is no longer the case. I will punish you gladly, now. I guess I should thank you for that. Like everyone else in the WCF, you have willingly helped my cause without even realising it. Along with Corey Black and Gravedigger, you all are helping me bring everything together. It is...beautiful. The only thing that can possibly be better than seeing you all do my work for me...will be what the WCF looks like after I am finished. I just need one more person to get involved. With your help, Avery-kun, the plan will be executed to perfection.
At last, Mikami breaks his gaze from the camera and notices that he is nowhere near where he started walking. He stands at the top of a hill, gazing at a setting sun.
Now all I need to do...is figure out where the hell I am.
