wcfwrestling.proboards.com/thread/37026/introducing-wcf-infinity-championshipI think I laid it out pretty clear, but on the OOC end of things, Price is going to book everything like normal. You can use the stones in your RP to make stuff seem more important, but it's not going to be a requirement at all. I don't know why you wouldn't use them though. So next week, just as explained, I'm going to put everyone's name in a hat and draw out 6. You'll be the lucky recipient of a WCF Infinity Stone. Price just brought up a good point, every stone is always on the line in a match. Hypothetically if someone has 4 and they lose to someone with 0, the person they lost to would take all 4 stones. HIGH STAKES. The WCF Infinity Championship will not act like the stones, however. The only time it will be on the line is if whomever holds it agrees to place it on the line in a match before cashing in. After someone compiles all the stones and cashes in, win or lose, the belt goes away and all the stones are redistributed. Cashing in must be declared to Price in a PM or message or something within 24 hours of the CARD being posted for whichever show the cash in is to take place on. That, or a match can be scheduled at a time of your choosing for a more fair contest. Groups have been made, we kick off next week - good luck! Any questions or concerns, drop them here, hit me or Price with a PM, message us, whatever works.

For those that were with WCF prior to the switch up in management, the WCF Infinity Championship replaces the Final Destination Briefcase, which was WCF's MITB.
This adds a lot more intrigue to things because everyone is going to want that automatic World Title shot that they can choose to use whenever and wherever they want.
Like Black said, once someone gets all 6 and earns that right, all they have to do is send me a message 24 hours before Slam (or a PPV) saying that they want to cash in and that's all. They have no obligation to tell the current champion or anyone else what they are doing. And then all they have to do is post an RP that is better than the World Champion's RP that week and a successful cash in will take place. You can also choose to set up a match with the champion if you feel extra confident.

SPOILERS FOR INFINITY WAR: YOU"VE BEEN WARNED...
As long as no one turns to dust at any point, I'm all for this. As far as a wrestling company is concerned, fairly intriguing. I like it!

I see a few possible concerns with this-
1-What about tag matches?
and
2-Let's say I have the 4 stones for a month and beat every opponent, but I am not booked against the person with the last one for whatever reason, then I lose them for some reason to an unrelated person, and he happens to face off against the guy with the fifth one the next week.
What I'm saying is this might rely heavily on being booked against the right number of people at any given time, which means that either the bookers have to avoid putting the stone-holders against each other, or else have all the stones on one guy in less than a month?
3-Haven't we proven that instant cash-ins don't work? Both times that someone used the Final Destination briefcase to grab the belt on Slam, the former champion immediately quit, and it just left a bad taste in everybody's mouth. It's a cool idea on TV, but I don't think it translates to efedding because someone ACTUALLY gets screwed.
4- I can't help but feel like this would slightly diminish the importance of things like the WCF Classic, Showdown, or WAR, since you could conceivably earn a title shot in a single match just by happening to come up against the right opponent.
5- I also liked Infinity War, but will this belt still be relevant in 6 months?
6- Didn't we get rid of 3 belts because of a diminished roster? Isn't this like adding 6 new titles? Are we only going to count the accomplishments of people who get all 5 stones? Will this count as a championship at all? Do I put "Former holder of the Corey Black stone" in my signature? Will this diminish the value of things like the TV title, which is defended every week?
7- Bring back the cruiserweight belt. This isn't related to the infinity belt, I just am campaigning for it because I like cruiserweight titles.
8- If the belt holder has to agree to put the belt on the line, then why would he ever do so? Wouldn't they just wait it out until someone got all 5 stones and then immediately feud with them?
9- Is this something that's going to be going on constantly? I feel like the stones will take a huge amount of emphasis away from feuds, especially for championships, because everyone is going to want to face off against the guy with the rest of the stones once they get one. Let's say I want to feud with Mikey Extreme, but I happen to hold the Slickie T Stone. I'm not going to be able to have my feud because 4 other people are going to be wanting matches with me. TV title feuds are the hardest thing in the world to plan cause you have a chance the champ will lose it. This is like 5 TV titles. Speaking of feuds, this could also cause someone to screw up a world title feud. Imagine we set up and Omega/Okada match. Flash v. Dune for example, and then the week before the match, someone cashes in and takes the belt. Kind of ruins the build-up and lets people hijack other storylines, ya know?
10- I appreciate you guys looking into new ways to book! I don't want to come across as negative, but this idea raises a lot of concerns with me, especially because people tend to get weird about championships, which these basically serve as. I could see it as a 1-time gimmick, but if it's constant, it's going to be THE main storyline in WCF at all times.

Corey will be getting on soon to answer things more in depth because I'm at work and on my phone, but let me try to go over a few things as best I can:
- In a tag match, a person holding a stone would only lose it if they were the one getting pinned.
- Booking wouldnt necessarily revolve around the stones, it would stay organic like it is now. Mostly because we wouldnt want people thinking that we're trying to push someone to having the title quickly.
- The most recent instance did have a bad result, but mostly because that person unjustly felt like there was a conspiracy against them OOC, which there was not. I've proven to be a very fair booker, no bias toward or against anyone. And the idea is to keep the champion on their toes and putting out their best work each week once someone earns the right to cash in.
- I don't think it diminishes WAR or Showdown because those are epic on their own and nothing could take away from those.
- It will because Part 1 is going to easily hit 2 billion, then there will be a Blu Ray before Christmas and then next May we get Part 2, then another Blu Ray. Plus this is a comic series from the 90s that will always have a place in history.
- Its not really adding any titles. Having one stone or five stones won't be an accomplishment that gets noted anywhere. It's really more of just a quest to get all 6 so that you earn your title shot. The accomplishment that would be noted is when you'd get all of them.
- Get me a roster of 50 people and at least 8 with a weight of 225 or less and we'll talk about CW Title.
- I mean the person doesn't have to put the infinity title on the line, it's more if they would decide to for whatever reason they could. As for the second part of that point, are you asking if someone has the title in someone else has stones? Because that would never happen, there will never be more than the 6 stones that are in the title belt.
- I mean you arent wrong, someone could theoretically cash in during a World Title feud and it would mess up a story...but good writers can always work around wrenches like that! Plus thats the point of the cash in out of the blue, it's meant to be chaotic.

I think an easy way to solve the cash-in problem would be to not allow cash-in's for announced no-shows?
Like say the champion tells everyone that he can't roleplay due to personal issues (work hours, personal tragedies, take your pick).
It is kind of a dick move to grab the world title unopposed if someone is having an issue like that.
The champ should be going for RPotW every week anyway, but it seems like being able to jump on a champ that's having irl issues could promote some...let's call it unhealthy behaviors.

We reserve the right to tell anyone they cannot cash in at the time they request. IE: personal weeks off, storyline, etc.

Yeah for sure, if someone says they need a week off, then no cash in. We're dicks but we have hearts lol

I see this as causing some high emotion story lines and any time you can accomplish emotion in efedding things get awesome. We can get too caught up in it some time but that's half the fun.

I see this as a pretty good idea. I also see this,as probably the first time I've seen a resolved Q&A since I've been here. Good luck to those involved; don't do what I did and wank it all up the wall into some God awful FPV shaped spatter. No offense, Frank. #DickKicksandGlory

First off, I love the idea. It feels like a spin of the Gift of the Gods Title (if you don’t know what that is, we’re not friends and you need to be okay with that), and I can’t really judge since the only real World Title reign I ever had was because I cashed in with a week’s notice in the middle of a World Title feud, but it started an intense rivalry that still exists and if anyone says “Greg Jackson” too close to Kid Dynamo he’s gonna punch a fool.
Second, the best advice I ever got was “ask yourself the question”, the question being, “Am I being a dumbass?”

Think of the stones as what CHIKARA does for their Challenge of the Immortals. Just because you get a point in the contest doesn’t mean it is an accolade.

{Kinda a spoiler} Can you wipe out half the fed once you have all 6 Infinity stones? Theoretically you'd be doing that to amass said stones already!

I have already done the drawing - does everyone want to know? This won't technically go into effect until after Slam so if I reveal, RPs posted after said reveal shouldn't mention who has stones.
Or I could wait.
Either way.
