Wrestler's name: Bale Pascal
Gimmick: Bale Pascal was born in Paris, France but moved to London, England as a small child due to a rather tedious merger of his Father’s semi-successful publishing company. Bale proved troublesome as a young man with frequent manic outbursts of indistinguishable origins, screaming matches with teachers, fights with other students his age, endless vandalism, and other anti-social tendencies that would make him quite unpopular with his fellow classmates. In short, even at an early age, Bale preferred a more unconventional and disruptive style of living. When old enough, he moved out of Britain and into Rhode Island to enjoy a period of solitude while also practicing his skills in painting and sculpting in his free time - as he had no interest in his father’s business and did not see room for him in the bureaucratic ladder that had been built there.
Bale Pascal has been described as an inconsistent man; cold in demeanor but has, what is described by acquaintances as, ‘an eccentric enjoyment of the arts’. What could one call eccentric about it? One could say that Bale has abandoned many aspects of the outside world and chooses to live in his own. It is people like Aapo Nikula who still anchor him to civilization, but such a middle man surely leaves a distorted view.
As for Bale’s interest in fighting. It was his father’s success that gave him the modest high-middle class life that allowed him take interest in Mixed Martial Arts and Amateur Wrestling - as it was one of the few things his family could do to contain his outbursts. His training in such was eclectic due to his fluctuating interest. And in light of this, leads to his rough and unpolished style of fighting which he, himself, described as an attempt to ‘empower what was already fairly destructive’...philosophically speaking, that is.
Height/weight: 6, 1” 226 lb
Hometown: New Shoreham, Rhode Island (population: 1,051)
Alignment (Face/heel/neutral): Heel
Appearance/attire:
White, clean shaven, light/sparse orange orange highlights to what is otherwise raven black hair. He is a long faced individual with a fairly protruding nose.
Pic base:
Street clothes: Most of the time unless stated otherwise, Bale wears black dress shirts and pants.
In Ring: He wears black boots and black shorts.
Entrance and music: “Voids” by Apollyon’s Visage creeps onto the sound system, creating a bassy rumble in the arena as the lights dim into darkness. The stage lights all focus on the entrance. First, out comes Aapo Nikula, the white of his face is blown out due to the overpowering nature of the focused lights. His arms are spread wide and he is grinning from ear to ear as he receives a wave of boos from the crowd.
After yelling inaudible statements - presumably something of praise for his fighter- Mr. Nikula steps to the side, holding his hands out toward the entrance in a presenter’s fashion when finally, Bale Pascal steps out onto the ramp.
Kyle Steel: Coming down to the ring, weighing in at two-hundred and twenty-six pounds, from New Shoreham, Rhode Island...BALE PASCAAAAL!!!
Bale saunters down the ramp; the stage lights following along as he descends. After climbing up the side of the ring, he crosses his arm over the top rope, rests his head on top, and swings his legs over to sit on the second rope; a spotlight shines overhead. A moment passes before he slides off and through the ropes, into the ring where his faithful Manager stands while continuing to praise his fighter.
Style (Technical, hardcore, brawler, powerhouse, high flying, etc.): Submission and striker. Somewhat unpolished and wild.
Favorite Moves (At least 5):
Roaring elbow
Bicycle kick
Double Underhook headbutts
Top Wrist lock STO
Front Headlock W/ Knees to the Gut
Trademark move and description:
Double Stomp from the Top
Finisher and description:
Chickenwing Crossface
Manager? If so, name and description:
Aapo Nikula is an older gentleman who always dresses strictly formal. He is a lobbyist and former writer who has claimed himself to be the leader of a “Revised-Fascism” movement. Having worked for Bale’s father in the past, Aapo Nikula remembered the rambunctious young man with a whole lot of fight in him and decided to search him out. Finding him on Block Island, he managed to convince Bale (after endless persistence and annoyance) to join him in putting the eccentric fighter’s skills to good use with questionable intent of his own.
Aapo Nikula is the kind of manager who will use every cheat in the book but when confronted either takes offense in the greatest and most dramatic manner or becomes a blithering coward looking to escape any punishment that might come his way. In short: He is not built for fighting and would never enter the oppressive, humid, dirty arenas of the world without Bale beside him to keep him safe.
