Because of that iron jaw of yours I haven't been able to play a note all week without howling in pain, and because of those hammers you got for fists my body's been black, blue, and aching since Rise Up despite the fact that I've spent most of my days soaking in a tub of ice.
My hat's off to you though. You're one hell of a fighter. I'd share a drink with you any day.

Finally 100% after dealing with Rumpke one-on-one at Rise Up. I've been hit with actual hammers that did less harm than the Drunken Brawler's fists. Shout out to Vic Vegas, the poor bastard. Wanna know the secret to overcoming a Rumpke pummeling? Take it from the man himself: one drink at a time.
But the terrain only gets more treacherous on the way up WCF Mountain. This week I step into the ring with royalty - albeit in name alone.
Ethan King, I hear you're disappointed about not being chosen to partake in the Trilogy Cup. Cheer up kid. We may not be the main event on Slam this week, but we're damn sure gonna have the fiercest and most memorable match of the night.
And who knows, maybe me and you not being in the tournament is a blessing. Maybe come Explosion - both of us being free and all - we'll meet in a rematch of this week's Slam. It'd be one for the ages. The world may not know it yet...but come Monday morning, there won't be any doubt about it.

Strong grip you got, Ethan. Turns out these old bones are stronger. That's not to say I'm not hurting. Bum arm and all, I still would've loved nothing more than a rematch this week at Slam.
But no. The bossman had other ideas.
This week, I'm in your corner, and while your cheating ass made one hell of an enemy, you got yourself the best damn partner you could've asked for.
After that finall bell rings though - after the ref raises our arms in victory - our fleeting partnership will be at an end. And it suffices to say you'll be singing a black and blue tune when I'm through with you.

You attacked me after the match, not the other way round. I knew exactly what I was doing, I just chose not to let go of the hold, thus disqualifying myself. Explain to me how this is cheating? It's not like I knocked out the referee before doing what I did.
Someone's clearly still a little upset, so I'll let you have your moment. Maybe I'll even let you have the pin this week as a bit of repayment.
Either way, I win.

Ethan King - hell of a show you put on last Sunday. You may be a no good dirty son of a bitch, but in the ring you're a marvel to behold. I can't wait for my second one-on-one crack at you. And despite your destructive brilliance, I won't be shying away from the tag-in this Sunday when we battle for the Trilogy Cup wild card spot. I'll have the arm you nearly snapped in two stretched out as far as it can in hopes I get the opportunity to go toe-to-toe with you for a shot at the Title...long as that shot may be.
And as for the Hardcore Champ and the Drunken Brawler...better luck next time. The King and I proved too much for the pair of you last week. Hell of a fight though. You boys didn't make it any easier for me this Sunday. I pray the feeling's mutual...but only for you, Andre. You've got your hands full with Odin this week. We'll see if you're strong enough to bounce back and defend your newly won Title.
