Sandy wasn't shit. I know new to you guys but it really wasn't any stronger than a Mississippi storm. Also, this thing I going up by land. It might not even rain by the time it gets up there. Even I it does hit some water, it wont strengthen a ton. I'd say being overly cautious. I've been in Andrew, Ivan, katrina and sandy. You're outside of Pittsburgh as you said. I'm sure you didn't get much of a storm from Sandy there. BIG difference on the coastline. Pittsburgh is hella inland, so yeah what you experienced compared to what the Jersey shore experienced are going to be two vastly different things.

What Sandy was..was no stronger than a Mississippi storm. A decent Mississippi storm will get you 60-70 mph sustained winds with gusts much faster. Downpours and tornados Also..I was visiting my cousin at McGuire afb in jersey when it hit.

I remember Hurricane Elana sitting off the coast just swirling. We were ordered to evacuate. Me, mum, sis grandmother three cats drove across the state basically in the middle of Florida in some motel in b.f.e actually Lake Wales for two days. Horrible. Being 14 at the time in ,' 85 I was supposed to be starting high school. But, stuck in a motel with my mother, sister, grandmother and three cats

We didn't get anything here in Jersey either. They put all these 'warnings' and whatnot ... nothing happened.

Caught the tail end of Katrina, not fun even then. Hurricanes are no jokes, neither are Tornadoes. Last big tornado storm to hit us here in North Alabama wiped out cities. There was a path between Madison, Alabama and Athens, Alabama that I always take; after those tornadoes the whole area was flattened. The only thing that remained standing was a Church.
