Hey guys. CJ Phoenix here. Revenge was an amazing PPV with so many great matches and awesome stories being told! With that being said, here are some stats that may catch your entrance and add a little more icing to that Revenge cake.
There were twelve matches and a total of 40 competitors that stepped in the ring at Revenge.
The Opener AND The Closer!
Thomas Uriel Bates is the first, and so far ONLY, WCF wrestler in 2016 to compete in a PPV's opening match and Main Event in the same night. Sound familiar, WCF vets? If it does, it's because the last person to accomplish this feat, excluding the WAR PPV, was Thomas Uriel Bates at Ultimate Showdown 2015.
Month of the Mountain
August was a great month for the Mountain of the WCF. Bates' two wins at Revenge put him at 5-0 for the month. Quite the turnaround from his July record of 1-3.
Start of A Trend?
The draw between Sweet Annihilation and Lilith/Skittlez makes Revenge the 3rd PPV out of the last four to feature a match with no decisive winner.
A Night of Firsts.
3-number of guys who won their first title in the WCF(CJ Phoenix, Crazy J, & Captain WCF *that's a lot of C's*) at Revenge 2016. That's the most in a single PPV this year.
Say What!?
Speaking of the Cap, he won a SINGLES match to become TAG Champion! Let that sink in. Good on ya, Cap!
One's All It Takes.
Crazy J has competed in a grand total of ONE match as a singles competitor. He won it, and is now Hardcore Champion. How about that.
Connect Four.
Heading into the Fatal Four Way Alpha Title match, CJ Phoenix was the only one of the participants to have his last four matches prior to the Alpha Title match involve a total of four people. Though they were all tag matches, the chance to get used to facing multiple opponents in the same match arguably (IC of course) gave him a slight advantage heading into the match.
Zero Tolerance for losing
The current Zero Tolerance stable members are a combined 3-0 at PPVs so far. How long can they keep this up?
War=Champion on the Horizon
The eXtreme/Spearman match for the coveted final entry spot in the upcoming WAR match was a huge opportunity for a significant advantage. EVERY WAR match winner has won at least one World Title in their careers.
Year of the World Title Change?
TUB's victory at Revenge makes him the 8TH different wrestler to win the World Title in 2016. That's the most New World Champs in a single year in the history of WCF. The previous record was 7(2012/2010). Of the eight to capture gold this year, Joey Flash has held the belt for the most days in 2016(63). Bates can pass that mark if he holds the title all the way to Halloween.
More to come if I feel like it(if I can find anything else) lol
