Britain pretty much has the same views as Mr Bates has right here... although we all think Americans need to rethink their right to bear arms something about Americans being gun crazed loons and all that lol Allowing hundreds of thousands of religiously devoted murderers and rapists into your country that banned guns <3 If you're talking about the immigrants who came here ... that's one of the reasons why the vast majority of us voted out of the EU

What's so interesting, is that not only did "multi volley" firearms exist at this time (primitive, but still existed), many of our Founding Fathers were inventors. The idea that our Founding Fathers only meant muskets is ludicrous. I challenge anyone who truly believes this (not saying you do Lilith), to write me a full in depth response. They must use ink pen with nibs, cotton or hemp paper, sealed with wax, and delivered via carriage or mounted or unmounted couriers.

First of all, the second amendment CLEARLY states that the people should be armed in equivalent with their government as to have the ability to fight against tyranny. So technically, the second amendment allows us to have whatever the fuck we want up to and including ANY weapon our government has in stockpile.
There is no shit about muskets and that bullshit. The CLEAREST statement in the amendment is that we should be AS WELL ARMED as our government so that if our government should ever turn tyrannical, we can overthrow them.

Well Dag, obviously over time between the media and politicians, they have conditioned people to believe that we don't need any of that. And truth be told, we sure as hell wouldn't if our government was at it was intended to be.
The second amendment's greatest purpose was to protect us from a tyrannical government. So yeah, in the year 2016 when our rights are being trampled, and our government is no longer for, by and of the people ... we should have a fucking javelin missile or whatever other weapon you can think of. Why? Because if our government turns the weapons technology they have on us, we should be able to respond.
The second amendment is not about hunting or having a pistol to defend against a one off criminal. It's about the ability to stand against government who are only supposed to serve us. Over the years they've been switching the game where it's like we serve them.

My vote in this upcoming election for president is still a toss-up. One one hand, Tim Howard's a beast. He's a people person and an American Hero. However, Kurt angle won a gold medal with a broken freaking neck! He's Americaman! I might just flip a coin.

This was better than what I expected it to be. I thought it would be another "listen to what these Hillary supporters say!" video, and those don't make me laugh; they make me weep for the future of mankind. I can make fun of Hillary right? Everyone's a Bernie guy here if you're not Trump, right? I'm a Johnson guy... Best of the candidates running, lost all respect for Bernie when he conceded the Democrat ticket to Hillary then next day went Independant...

That's another thing I've never (and probably will never) understand about Americans lol they're sooooooooooo determined and completely sure of it that one day the government will rise up and say "fuck all you guys!" to the civilians.... thus requiring American citizens to have gun ownership so that they can go and battle the US Army... makes no sense to me at all lol and you NEVER hear of a British guy being like "I need to own a gun so I can protect myself from the RAF" and if you did I'm pretty sure they'd be looked at as being completely and utterly insane lol Maybe Bates will be able to give me a good answer for this

Yeah, Bernie was one of those who I didn't agree with a lot of his standings/policies, but was best of the three... I actually agree with more of Johnson's views... So win win on that situation for me...

And, yea...Johnson's platform is more in-line of my political/social views anyways...right with you, Doc.

One of the most important documents in Western Civilization, the Magna Carta is the cornerstone for nearly all Law in the West. It was a system of limitations imposed on King John of England by upset Barons. King John reneged on his word and the First Baron's War began. The Magna Carta has been annulled, and re-chartered several times through-out British history, but remains as the very symbol of Law itself.
The point I made, was that King John imposed his will on the people of England, and the Barons rose up against him to form the Magna Carta.

Lilith, this is pretty simple. The entire reason the United States of America has a Constitution is to limit power of government. Why is this? Because the British (you guys) way back in 1776 said "fuck you guys" to the people n the colonies and still expected taxes to be paid despite the fact they weren't doing dick for their people over here. "No Taxation without Representation."
So if greed and political misdeed was taking place way back in the 1700's to where the United States Constitution had to be thought up ... what in the HELL makes you think that politicians and government has IMPROVED in the 250 years since then?
