Scene- Merkel, Texas
In a small West Texas town just fifteen miles west of Abilene, Texas is where Adam Young started training for his life inside the squared circle with his granddad and his father. He was trained the old fashioned way by being stretched everyday after school for five months before he even learned to take a bump. Adam had his first professional match when he was only fifteen years old in Abilene and the Taylor County Fair Grounds in the round building in front of about sixty pro wrestling fans. As everyone knows Adam has gone on to bigger and brighter venues and wrestling fans. Adam is known around the World as a tag team specialist and as a man who will stop at nothing to get that one win.
Adam is standing in front of the old cotton gin.
Adam- Everyone keeps jumping out of this match at Ultimate Showdown. You wondering why yet Freezer Burn why nobody wants to be in that ring with me at Ultimate Showdown yet. While you've been playing around in the minor leagues of professional wrestling I've been right here in WCF since 2009 fighting former World champions and Hall of Famers. Been involved in one of WCF's longest fights with Corey Black aka Creeping Death, who I have the most respect for of anyone I've ever been in the ring with. I took down the Superfans. Fought against the greatest tag team in WCF history the New Confederacy, love ya Doc and Johnny. I've been in the ring with WCF's greatest in Torture. I've beaten the greatest rookie in WCF history Joey Flash. I'm the only man on the roster to come close to beating Blaze for the People's championship, it will be a sad day at Showdown when he cashes in on a bigger championship. You see Freezer all I've done in WCF is fucking fight for my spot, you've done nothing but ride the coat tails of Night Rider. Look over what you've done here in WCF, sat in the corner as Night Rider carried your ass for a minute to the WCF tag titles. I'm a two time tag team champion here and that was back when the tag titles where the hottest thing going in the WCF.
Adam starts walking down the road into Merkel itself.
Adam- You and your little sister keeping thinking by calling me racist, klan member or even hillbilly bothers me, well son it don't. I'm married to a hot Coast Rican and my brother in law is black. Yeah I come from the south and grew up in a small town but that just makes me so much better than you. I don't walk around pretending to be something I'm not. I'm a redneck who drinks beer, dips Copenhagen, eats watermelon all summer, and loves my Mom. Look around my small town here known as the Windmill City, Merkel, Texas. Do you actually see anyone not smiling?
Camera pans around downtown at all the farmers, ranchers, and families walking around.
Adam- This right here is why I do what I do. I know your going to sit back and try to make fun of everything in this promo but so what. These people right here are the ones who pay the money to come out and watch us wrestle. It aint those city folk you love so much. Ultimate Showdown is in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Yeah it may be part of Gotham itself but its surrounded by small town country folk who actually make America work. Small town America is what this is all about and I will wear that patch into battle every time I lace them up from now on. No more pretending, this is about decent hard working people and people like you who just sit back as you leach onto what we do to make a honest living. Get ready Freezer cause as far as I'm concerned it's you and me in that ring Sunday night. I'm going to show you what hard work and American power is really all about.
