So lately i have been trying to read through the entire show but lets be honest, most people are just looking at their portion of it (myself included). This is fine but what ends up happening is you miss out on fueds, title changes, titles being disbanded, teams breaking up, etc etc.
I was thinking it might be a good idea to add a summary at the bottom of the show. Basically something to keep everyone in the loop with whats happening outside of their own little feud. It would keep everyone in the loop and let guys better follow other feuds.
An example would be:
SUMMARY Spearman Def Freezer burn. Post match Spearman extends hand to Freezer. Freezer leaves him hanging in the ring
Alpine Def Mikey Extreme due to distraction caused by Percy Micro
Slane issues open challenge
Slane Def Chambers. Oblivion attacks Slane post match and makes the belt sign around his waist before leaving.
Dag Riddick Cuts a promo about how he is the only true international superstar on the roster. Baron Von Massaker comes out and disagrees.
Seth Announces tournament starting next week for number one contendership.
Basically just a list like that. That way if you dont have time to read everything you can still follow along with what is happening.
Anyone have any input? Agree or disagree?

We used to have Gemini go through every match and offer a critique on the feud and/or direction of the show, but he put so much work into it I think it burned him out a little. (<3 Gem)
A lighter version of that would be fun, just a weekly recap segment from whoever wants to do it and/or has time, a paragraph about each match or just a review of the show in general for people who don't want to read the long matches (mine was almost as long as an RP this week lol).

A summary would be an interesting idea. As Teddy said, Gemini did a literal critique of Slam, and others have done recaps that were meant to be in kayfabe. But something simple would be a good resource to have, though having it would just be more incentive not to read up on the whole show.

It didn't burn me out. I just don't even have time to rp let alone review slam.
However a recap thread would be great like Slane said

For my character, that is EXACTLY where I was going with that... Just because Dag and Baron would be a logical feud, and that 'title' is a great centerpiece of the story. I like it a lot!

Now, as most stated already, it can be a 'Bleacher Report' like their website of the recap... My suggestion though.
Do it on a Wednesday, so it is incentive to read the entire show, but at least on Wednesday.. It is a recap, and possible gives direction to our RPs.
Thoughts?

Let me ponder on what kind of time I'd have, but anybody think it'd be funny to see Silver Goldstein tackle such a show?

Maybe a rotating try out type thing, then we could poll it to see who gets a vote from the peers after a couple of try outs?

I start my new position here in a few weeks, so I'm not sure what kind of extra time I'll have, but I'm up to try out with a test run or something. It may be fun, but I still think it'd be fun to have others jump in and then have us poll it.

Good idea, but yea... Probably best to see what your hours will be first, bro. Don't stretch yourself thin where you could get burnt out. (In his Dr. Phil voice lol)

That sounds great but it still requires the person read a big in character breakdown of the show.
I'm suggesting a short quick to the point summary for someone who doesn't have time to read it but just wants to follow along with the storylines

I think that's plausible, but I think maybe a 'mid-week' recap of WCF, and it comes out on Wednesday? Thoughts?

Yea, that's why he PM'ed me...OOC, and went off and acted like a 10 year old by calling me everything but a white man, and all I said was...Hey, 'IC' I thought it would be cool to have a feud, etc. And, that's when the OOC tirade happened..and he was kicked offline by Seth for 2 weeks.

I totally get the show being too big to read everything! But making a short summary just makes it TOO easy to skip IMO. I wouldn't say that someone can't do it if they want but I dunno! I wouldn't make it a priority myself.
I think a good way to keep up with the show - and it surprises me it seems like some people don't do this - is when you find out your opponent, go back and see what they've done the last few episodes. Eventually you'll always know what's going on with everybody for the most part.

Can give you more fuel for RPs, versus a recap which can make you complacent. I can see your view on it, Seth. But, maybe if someone wanted to do a weekly show, and highlight a feud or something, like Piper's Pit.. That would be OK. I'm just thinking out loud. Don't mind me..lol

It doesn't matter if there's. Summary or not. Likewise if someone enjoys reading the show they're gonna read it even if there is a summary at the end. To me, it seems more beneficial to have everyone be in the loop and know what's going on in the fed outside themselves than it is to force everyone to have to read the entire show. Then again maybe I'm weird. I'm one of the guys who never minded when a fed head did short results just to get the show up on time. Lol
