if you dont understand:
shoot: talking about your opponent(s) in your rp and basing your RP around one match
Story: furthering a story, can sometimes include the shoot
I come from a background where story was the basis, sometimes even the shoot didnt fucking matter if you where say in a storyline with someone.
what i mean:
I was in a storyline with Glynn Speight over the CWE/WCE world title that involved the owner (Mr. Diamond, cant remember the characters first name as he was one of those (insert here) characters) and the Diamond Sisters (Victoria and Velvet)
not once did we ever mention each other in the rps
I won the feud in the end based on the fact that in the end, i helped further the story more, albeit by one rp, but that one rp storyline wise counted.
wanna talk about the evolution of efeding, thats what I do. Storyline. If i mention the other guy in my rp, then its kool, but the old school shoot style, to me, is like eh.... idk... but i am trying...
one rp a week limit? ok kool, not gonna argue that, but for ppvs, unless a title is on the line, why not keep it at one rp a week? thats only fair

At the end of the day (week) this is a wrestling based game. It makes no sense to me where you would RP for a match and not even mention the other people involved. Especially if you're working a storyline against them, how do you not mention them?
I wouldn't say what we do here is the "old school shoot style." We all write stories and include a shoot. How much of the RP the shoot covers is up to the writer. I've been in efeds where people's RPs were entirely shoot but I've never been in an efed where a shoot wasn't some part (or a big part) of it.
I would assume the PPVs get a second RP because they are bigger than a normal Slam. If we have one RP for every show, there is no real difference in week to week.

I prefer shoot over story. I've always liked feds that had a board where you would post character development roleplays and a board for match roleplays.
To me, a roleplay is supposed to be basically what you would see on TV. It should be something that can be read in five minutes or so because let's face it, most people don't give a shit about your character. So posting character development roleplays separate makes it so that the match roleplays are super competitive because they can be read and followed quickly. If I have to read ten pages of story about your character, I just skim it.
So yea, I have always been a fan of keeping the development and the shoot separate and judging the match outcome based on the shoot only

I try to do development rps with a twist in a way that makes sense not to directly mention who my opponent is, when I do development rps. When I do shoot posts, there's usually a small amount of character development in the process. Either way, including the fact you have a match is damn near mandatory.
I've been in lots of e-feds with lots of rp limit varieties. Some have word minimums, some have word maximums, some have a 4 rp a week minimum, here is a 1 per week minimum where only the best one counts. Each e-fed has its own flavor, and sometimes adjusting to that flavor, especially after being in one fed for a long time, can take a while to adjust.
In the end, we are all telling a story. Titles, in my opinion, are secondary and usually awarded to those who just write more interesting roleplays. Exception, Writers League Wrestling Ring. To enlist on the boards there, you have to have published at least two books, and the roleplays there felt like you was reading a book, with 75,000 word per show minimum.

Shoot's the fun part and something I consider my bread and butter. It's nice to unwind after crafting your story and just come up with clever ways to pick up apart the opponent.

Shoot matters more than story in WCF. An RP with a story and no shoot will lose to an RP with no story and all shoot. Because you're supposed to be writing about your match. If you want to make a story, go RP in a place not based around pro wrestling.
2 RPs for PPV make PPVs special.

Especially the roleplay limits. Makes it feel like you are putting on a better performance for the ppv which is much truer to life
