He could be a fantastic heel upon returning. With a long enough heel run he could eventually get over with a face turn.

It is partially favoritism, but also a business decision. They've invested a lot into Roman Reigns and I'm sure they would have preferred to handle this in house-- which is their right IMO, but in this day and age you can't hide anything. I'm just dying to know what he failed for. Even if I could know if it was a narcotic or a PED I would be satisfied.

Honestly it was probably some supplement that he didn't know was banned. Or he knew and just tried to beat the test.

I wonder if those tests are random or if they happen on a schedule.

They didn't have to suspend him to achieve that. Ambrose and Rollins would still be doing most of the promo work even if Reigns was active. He'd just walk in once in a while and drop his "the guy" "believe that" crap while Rollins and Ambrose are dropping gem after gem.

Amphetamines could be anything from

Methamphetamine (meth, crystal meth, Desoxyn, etc)

Adderall (prescription drug for ADHD and narcolepsy, widely abused and used for off-label purposes, a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine)

3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA aka ecstacy, molly, etc. A street drug that releases large amounts of seratonin in your brain and makes you feel fucking incredible for a few hours. There are also variants of MDMA such as MDA, MDEA, and others that are very similar in molecular structure and are amphetamines)

And then of course there is plain old pure amphetamine ("speed" in the old days) but that is extremely rare these days with the abundance of easily prepared (and much more potent) methamphetamine.

Those are the only things I can think of that would pop amphetamine on a urine test.

It happened before MITB, but upper management kept it to themselves, which means the writers didn't know and kept writing as though nothing had happened. The man is spending half his suspension still wrestling, and other than losing the belt, nothing's changing. Although it may be a while before he gets another title shot, he will still get pushed into big storyline feuds.
