When you realize that you are getting to fight for THE most prestigious belt in WCF?
I know we have a lot of new faces.
It might seem at first that this is little more than a popularity contest.
That it's as easy as signing autographs and smiling for the cameras.
Such viewpoints are understandable... But allow me the chance to provide new perspective.
This title, this glorious belt represents a history of unity, of strength.
The holder of this belt is the standard bearer for each and every fan around the world!
Whosoever holds this belt does so by YOUR will, and your will alone.
Championships, victories, wins, losses....
All are fleeting.
We are more than that.
Glory fades. We endure.
We stand united against the world! We stand tall before a sea of vicious monsters, of backstabbing traitors and greedy souls and we, through nothing more than the strength of our unity turn the tides!
So long as we stand United, so long as the People's voice rings true, there is not a being in the world who can stop us.
This belt, this championship, is not a prize. It is a privilege. It is an honor.
It is a responsibility.
I have held this belt for nearly 8 months. But we..? We Have turned away legends, have turned away hungry contenders.

Excalibur, don't sell yourself short. You won your way into this match, after all.
You didn't push your way past two well-documented curtain-jerkers without having to win a single fan over.
Didn't fake out the entire locker room by promising the return of world champions.
Compared to our third wheel, you're practically honorable.
Practically.
Unfortunately, though I look forward to this match, to the opportunity to defend this wonderful gold against a fresh face....
The People and I still have work to do.
We still have to carry this belt to the biggest test of our lives.
And so, regardless of whether i respect your efforts in getting here...
We have to win this one.

There is always a "we" Excalibur.
I have held this belt for longer than most world champions. This belt and I have seen Hall of Famers, Scaffold Matches, and even held strong against the very first champion.
And not a single one of those victories would have come to pass if not for the will of these people.
If not for their yearning, their desire to see this belt elevated to the heights that it deserves!
This belt cannot be one by a single man.
So if that's the stance you want to take, that you alone can stand against the United, unrecognized greatness that is the voice of the WCF Galaxy?
Then my friend you are in for a rude awakening.

Just an observation, but shouldn't you be worrying about your 2 opponents at Blast, rather than going juvenile on others not in your title match? You won't get People's Champ votes like that..

Come on now, Mr. Chambers, there are truer ways to contendership than petty schoolyard insults.
I mean, it worked for Mr. Young, but he has a pedigree behind him.
A reputation.
A history.
Adam Young has taken more bruises than a banana store run by gorillas.
Spilled more blood than Henry Winkler.
Broken more bones than the average waterslide.
He's risking his reputation on this match.
Although I do question the motivation behind these two men. Both have stated, unequivocally I might add, that their first act as champion would be to rename the belt. To slap a bumper sticker over the world People's, call it the "silver bullet" or "Heel" title.
This is what they would do with the legacy we have built?
This is the respect they show legends like Torture, like Scarecrow, like Alex Richards?
To my best friend Spencer Adams?
There have been more feuds fought over this belt, more sacrifices made and more prestigious names clinging to make this belt mean something.
To show that the People matter.
That each and every one of you matter.
That is my message. You know why WCF stands today? Even after all we have been through?
Loyalty.
The only reason that there is still a light to turn on in this building is because there are fans in that arena.
Because we are part of something bigger, something greater than any single one of us.
If not for these people, if not for every single person reading this, our legacy, our history, it goes away like so much fairy dust.
But both of my opponents want to cast them aside like driftwood.
To flip the proverbial middle finger to the very audience that put them in this match to begin with.
To tell you that YOUR title does not matter.
So long as there is blood in my body, so long as I have the WCF faithful on my side, I know that we can carry this title through the hell that awaits us.
And that our legacy will be intact when we reach the other side.

Let's once again call it like it is. Those two words just prove you're afraid. And he's right you should worry about your opponents.
Contendership is just right around the corner for me good sir. I can feel it in my bones. You seem to be a good man with righteous sentiments, but they will get you nowhere in the end.

Now I'm not one to beat a dead horse, but i feel it would be a disservice to leave the title match languishing in silence.
To just drop the microphone and walk out.
No, that's not how I operate.
I don't believe in leaving well enough alone.
In waiting and seeing whether I've done enough.
One can always do more, after all.
So I will take the time now to reiterate a bit.
Maybe even postulate.
You know, if nobody's watching.
Now, when I won this title in November of last year, we were in the midst of a hostile takeover.
A certain ocean-oriented group felt like they could cling to all the belts and that it would prove something somehow.
They almost succeeded, too.
At ONE they had the world title, and the tag titles with designs on the people's belt.
But through our determination, through weapons handed me by literal saviors, we held on.
In the duration of their reign this belt served as the one prize they could never reclaim.
There are those, my opponents included, who feel that the People's title has no place in WCF anymore.
That something has changed.
That your voice no longer matters.
But I? I know that WCF can return to the pedestal it once stood upon.
That it can reach down into the muck and the slime that has covered it and pluck out the jewel of a federation that changed the world!
And that is why I consider it an honor and a privilege to speak for the people in the fallout.
Let's remind them just how loud we can be.

Geez, this might be one of the closest ones ever lol...
I want to thank both of my opponents for both hyping this match and keeping me sweating until the very end!
Onto showdown next, but I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better pair of opponents! I hope that you enjoy the match as well!
