Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: it was the only place the character works
How much/little do you relate to your character: it's based off me
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: both
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: the game
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: not sure on this one (obviously this can be in a fed outside of WCF)

Post by Thomas Uriel Bates on Jun 19, 2016 23:43:28 GMT -5
Your Age: 32
How Long You've Been Efedding: 24-25 years. (Started when I was about 7 or 8).
Inspiration For Your Character: My inspiration for Thomas Uriel Bates is two of my older characters. The strength and moral core of Andre Uriel Bates (Thomas's father), and the intelligence and technical skill of Alexander James (Also known as "The Crow" Eric Draven, Thomas's uncle). Inspiration for Andre was Angus McAskill, and the inspiration for Alexander was originally Eric Draven, but turned into Brandon Lee/Bruce Lee.
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: I actually had Andre Bates, Alexander James, and an alien alternate version of Andre named K'ndre in Star Trek RPG. I like message boards a lot better than email.
How much/little do you relate to your character: More than just a lot. Aside from stature and personal history, I am Thomas Uriel Bates. I put a lot of myself in this character, as opposed to Alexander James who all I really had in common with was Martial Arts. I've got a lot of Andre too, especially the hearing; though he lost his differently.
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: Both. I'm old school, and victories meant everything back then. I've always been about the story though.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: Gemini Battle
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: Can't remember the name anymore, but a guy from my EFW days. (obviously this can be in a fed outside of WCF)

Age: 27
How Long You've Been Efedding: 8 yrs
Inspiration For Your Character: Fear of life's next step, existentially speaking.
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: To explore a new semi-heel.
How much/little do you relate to your character: We're both outsiders; otherwsie, he's my unliving antithesis.
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: A story to fruition--victory is only part of that tale.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: I'm impressed by Purse and Zombie for their styles and sheer confidence.
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: A dominant, hiphop infused character named "Trax" that none could best or escape from in that company. His rhymes burnt everyone. We never fought because he took a hiatus during my midcard rise. Likewise, I left before he returned. Today I'd have a better chance against him. You may consider him my "white rabbit."

Your Age: 35
How Long You've Been Efedding: 15
Inspiration For Your Character: I guess that's kinda gonna be answered in the next question haha. (I know some people have multiples, but use your go-to or main or just the character you'd run above all others if someone told you you could only have one)
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: Originally I played on White Wolf Digichat which was a DnD game, Sarah Twilight started out as a Rogue on there. A friend I had from that game introduced me to efedding and I had no idea what it was. I joined a yahoogroups efed, transistioned my evil rogue over to be a wrestler and ended up leaving white wolf game in favor of efedding as the character worked so much better as a wrestler.
How much/little do you relate to your character: It's 50/50 Sarah lets me vent out a lot of things, but I am usually pretty vocal on things anyway so that's only part of it. I am not a people person so that is relating to Sarah, but the rest of who she is is all fiction and just enjoying writing a character that comes naturally to me.
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: Story is always more important. I like winning as well as anyone else, but a good story drives me much more than a win.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: This is gonna sound kinda odd to people but ... Corey Black/Creeping Death. I think the character works because it's who Curt is, and I love the character because Curt is like me without a filter on just calling shit. But strictly IC wise, the character is adaptable, and yet timeless. Dude lives in a castle and rocks out to Taylor Swift. There's just so much culture there and he flat out shoots on RPs, not a whole lot of fancy, CD doesn't do much CD these days because he doesn't need to. You know who the fuck he is so he's just gonna talk shit and that's that.
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: Sassy Lassy/Jason Snow ... I have PLENTY of characters that I have loved over the years and I am gonna be flat out brutally honest and say this is 100% bias. Those two showed me efedding and basically taught me the ropes so I am forever grateful to them. (obviously this can be in a fed outside of WCF)

Your Age: 33
How Long You've Been Efedding: Almost 17 years.
Inspiration For Your Character: My best friend in the Navy. He was an uber-gamer of any variety. Video games, board games, card games, you name it. His hobby was making games of his own and having his friends and coworkers play them when we had down time. He passed away in March, and this is my way of keeping his spirit alive to me. He saved my life a few times on our first deployment, so this means something to me.
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: Being my best friend, he knew about my efedding, and found it hilarious to read. He tried it once, but just wasn't into it like most people get into it. I also told him one day I would make a character inspired by him for efedding, and it has now happened. I just wish he was able to see what I have written.
How much/little do you relate to your character: I'm a casual gamer, so I'm not completely in the dark. But it is kind of difficult for me to come up with new stuff every week that involves games on a regular basis. As for his relationship woes, well, I relate quite a lot with it. I've had relationships end because of my previous occupation and subsequent success in said career, so this isn't much of a stretch. That, and very few people have ever really been behind me in any endeavor I pursue.
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: The story, if this week was proof enough.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: ICE Beckman. That guy was fucking hilarious, but could shoot cold and hard when prompted to do so.
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: Tom Foolery. This guy was hilarious, as well. He was a lost heir to a cookie fortune, and pissed the entire company away in new and inventive ways every week. But even as a destitute guy in the end, he still held on to several delusions that he was still on top of the world in every aspect of his life.

Your Age: 29 (Literally, today is my birthday [June 20])
How Long You've Been Efedding: 17 years
Inspiration For Your Character: Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Undertaker
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: No idea.
How much/little do you relate to your character: We're both named Mike from Brooklyn, NY.. but that's really about it.
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: Telling the story.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: Currently Z-Mac and Teo/Teddy
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: Grime.

Your Age: Old
How Long You've Been Efedding: 5-6 years
Inspiration For Your Character: Sam the Eagle (I know some people have multiples, but use your go-to or main or just the character you'd run above all others if someone told you you could only have one)
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: There are other writing RPGs?! How do they work?
How much/little do you relate to your character: We're both socially retarded; otherwise not at all
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: It's a close call, but I'll say winning matches. There are those angle-based feds out there if I was more interested in telling a story.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: Steve Orbit
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: It's not wrestling related, but there was a villain on a superhero message board I used to write for called the Hooded Hood that was/is an absolutely brilliant creation. (obviously this can be in a fed outside of WCF)

Your Age: 30
How Long You've Been Efedding: 19 years
Inspiration For Your Character: He is a combination of the narrator in my head and an old wrestler from another fed I was in as my other character Nova-Kaine. I saw this guy as The Plague Darren Knight and his rps captivated me. So I asked his permission to take on the mantle of The Plague and I made it my own, because nobody likes plagiarism, right? He was impressed with my interpretation atleast. (I know some people have multiples, but use your go-to or main or just the character you'd run above all others if someone told you you could only have one)
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: I love wrestling and I love writing so efeds were a calling for sure. I create wrestlers in every wrestling game I ever played and I love created my characters probably more than actually playing the games themselves. lol Needless to say Kevin Bishop and Nova-Kaine aren't my only characters roaming around in my head.
How much/little do you relate to your character: Well I don't lead a brotherhood, but I consider myself the alpha amongst my friends. I probably share his beliefs on life and share in the love of history and stuff.
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: Both, I love telling my stories but a W isn't too bad either.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: Bates, he is the freakin Mountain, what's not to love about him. If he could be engineered to become a pinical part of The Brotherhood, then there'd be no stopping The Plague hahahaha, but seriously great writer.
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: The Plague Darren Knight, such a great story teller. (obviously this can be in a fed outside of WCF)

Your Age: 30. Wait....oh, nope, yeah. 30.
How Long You've Been Efedding: Uhhhh. 10+years? With a cooldown of some odd years.
Inspiration For Your Character: Everything. I watch a lot of movies and TV shows, so whatever I'm interested in, plays some sort of part in the character.
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: Was a huge wrestling fan(still watch, just not as into it as I was.)
How much/little do you relate to your character: Ace has transcended from just an efed character, to an online nickname, to personal life nickname which I am called by everyday. I rarely even hear my real name. All thanks to my amazing late friend Bobby(Drake Vandenhart in my RPs. Yes he actually RPed, he got me into it, and that was his character, and he did pass in real life.)
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: Both.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: I don't want to sound rude, but I haven't really read anyones stuff here enough yet, besides my opponents.
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: All my old Nightdyne brothers and sisters. (obviously this can be in a fed outside of WCF)

Your Age:28
How Long You've Been Efedding:14 years off and on
Inspiration For Your Character:Im not really sure. I wanted the challenge of writing dark. Maybe Bray Wyatt a little but idk
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: I've only known feds as writing rpgs. I didn't know others existed and honestly I'm not a huge RPG fan
How much/little do you relate to your character: None whatsoever. It's actually very difficult for me to shoot as Neforian for this reason. I love writing his back story but his shoots are so difficult for me.
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: I'm enjoying telling his story but honestly, it's all about winning to me.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: I'm a member of the cult of crazy kids...but seriously I like zMac. He makes me wanna change my character and write comedic stuff. I truly may get there with Neforian.
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: When I as in the WWA there was a guy by the name of Tre Impact. The guy was unbelievable. Best writer I have ever seen in an Efed. I really believe that when I was role-playing there I was role-playing with the best e-fedder in the world.

Your Age: 41 How Long You've Been Efedding: Used to eFed in days of WordPerfect, etc. And, I stopped bc of RL around.. 1999. So, I'm back at it again. Inspiration For Your Character: The all black was intentionally to be ominously generic at first to build up my back story and storyline. So, my 'permanent' unmasked wrestler will appear on the scene very soon.. (So, I can't divulge too much right now ) Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: Well, I've been a fan of wrestling since I watched my hometown hero (Bruno Sammartino---Pittsburgh, PA.) And, the storylines, shoots, works, and character development merges my fondness for pro wrestling, but my creative writing passion as well... How much/little do you relate to your character: I'm not really related in any way to my character, so that challenges me as a writer and pushes me to use my 'thinking cap' more often. What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: Telling a story, definitely! But, even more so to feed off the other handlers to become better, and work together to create a great match and/or storyline. Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: Too new WCF still, but Zombie & Plague has given me some good character 'pushback,' which will help me over time. Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: I forget the efed I was in long ago, but his name was T.R. Ela. He was something like a Big Boss man character while I was the Heavyweight Champion, and I turned on him with a run-in during his match, and he took it well..and, we had a great long-time feud from it.

Your Age: 28, I think today is my birthday.
How Long You've Been Efedding: Off and on for a decade.
Inspiration For Your Character: (I know some people have multiples, but use your go-to or main or just the character you'd run above all others if someone told you you could only have one) Dean Ambrose of course and Stone Cold.
Why did you create this character for efedding as opposed to ... some other writing RPG: Like efedding better.
How much/little do you relate to your character: To be determined.
What is more important to you; winning matches or telling your story: It's always nice to win matches but more important to tell the story.
Your favorite WCF character that is not your own: As of the New Era, Zombie McMorris
Your favorite ALL TIME character that is not your own: (obviously this can be in a fed outside of WCF) Steve Orbit
