The problem is that new Logan has won like at least 89 world championships. How can we change his name?
The absurdity behind the idea that "the man made of metal" new logan should have to change his name is mind blowing.
I'm on your side Flay. All the jabronis need to step back in line and just be thankful they have a chance to sniff your robe

Either way 15 years WCF service means a ton more than anything else combined, so..
I dunno, I don't care. It would make more sense to just slap a last name on there.

All the jabronis need to step back in line and just be thankful they have a chance to sniff your robe of those X amount of titles.. none were in WCF No one is suggesting he change his name but he seems unyielding to being called anything other than Logan or Full Mecha ultra metal, whatever. People are going to bring this up in promo. They will talk about it and they will use it. If he wants to put himself on that side of the equation then so be it. I suggest he writes his own matches because someone is bound to goof up. But if he is as good as he claims.. then none of this should bother him, but it does /shrugs.exe |

Keep the theme and go with Logan Xavier or something. I'd buy a dude in WWE named Kane Forest over buying two Kanes, one with a nickname.
Drop the Logan part all together or change it up. Respect WCF history and WCF might respect you in return.

You don't have to take your ball and go home (although seeing as no one here has ever heard of you I doubt anyone will really care).
I'm just saying you came in here talking about how awesome you are, how many titles you've won in the last nineteen years, how many hall of fame you're in and how you aren't changing your name even though there is currently an original wcf member with the same name.
Then one of your first posts is asking who the booker is, leading everyone (especially me) to believe that you've been here for a minute and a half and you're already looking for the booker to make sure you're going to be used properly.
You showed little to no respect to a fed that has been going strong for 15 plus years and you basically put yourself on a pedestal above the rest of the roster.
So yes. You came across like a mega douche.

Alright, all kidding aside…
This will cause some problems, but it is nothing that cannot be fixed. “Heavy Metal Machine” Logan and “The Hotdog King” Logan will be confused from time to time, in roleplays, matches, segments, and even Out of Character. Although this will have its moments of confusion, I feel it can work out.
“Heavy Metal Machine” will be subjected to countless barrages of name related jokes. I feel the one that will stick, is New Logan. “Heavy Metal Machine” Logan, I do hope that you will be able to put up with this, and perhaps you will even be able to use this in your writing. Perhaps “New Logan” is upset that he has actually been around for a long time, done great deeds, but no one seems to care because he’s not the WCF’s Logan. I can sense a good Heel game, and who knows? Perhaps we’ll even see Logan teaming up with Logan for the Tag Team Tiles one day. I think it might be something worth looking into.
“The Hotdog King” Logan should not change his name, as he was the first one here. He has been here for 15 years, and has clearly established himself. No matter what, he is Logan.
“The Heavy Metal Machine” Logan should also not have to change his name, as he has used his name for his efed career. He has been around for some time, and he has made a name for himself outside of WCF. No matter what, he too is Logan.
The only solution, is to deal with it. The jokes will come, get used to it. If you’re not willing to do that, then this might not be the place for you.
Now, let me tell you about myself, so that you can understand where I’m coming from.
I’ve been efed wrestling for at least 24 years. All but the last year I have been as two characters; one main character, and one secondary character. My man character had a common name, that nearly all efeds at the time had; Eric Draven. I established myself as “The Crow” Eric Draven for many years before finally establishing that it was a stage name and that my character’s real name was Alexander James. This helped me solve the problem of everyone having an Eric Draven.
I kept my name, changed my story a little bit, and continued with my storyline. As a result, I grew as a character. I avoided real OOC issues, and dealt with any IC jokes or comments that came up. That’s just what you have to do.
Now even more. I’ve done a pretty good job as “The Crow” Eric Draven, my secondary character Andre Uriel Bates, and my new character of Thomas Uriel Bates. I have collected 32 World Championships, and hundreds of other tiles. Following your definition, I still hold most of those World Championships as I was the final champion before they closed. The truth though, is that none of that matters. It makes a great story In Character, as long as people are willing to play along with it. If not, then it just makes you sound like a lot of hype. You haven’t proven yourself here. You may have proven yourself elsewhere, but not here.
I’m not saying you’re not worth the hype. To be honest, I don’t know. I don’t remember hearing about you in my entire “efed career”, and I don’t expect you to know me. You could be worth all of that and a bag of chips, but we don’t know that. I am asking that you tone down the hype on the OOC Boards, and that you prove yourself here, to us.
If you decide to leave, that would be a shame. I was looking forward to seeing how this would play out. If you decide to stay, then good, I look forward to seeing how you perform.
The choice is yours.

Call me an idiot, but I don't really see what the issue is with his name. Does this mean that, for example, no one can share the same name as anyone else? So no Sarahs, cos of Sarah Twilight... No Katherines, no Andres... etc? Or is this mostly because Logan has only one name... Logan... And this new person shares the same name?

If they had last names, it wouldn't matter, as long as they're not the same. There's really no issue, just a confusion that will happen in writing. That however, can be taken care of easily. |

I think it's silly to have two dudes named Logan but I don't really care. My issue is this "better than everyone" act that he's got OOC. It just rubs me the wrong way. Then on top of it all, one guy calls him a douche and he quits. Idk, I'm probably over reacting but arrogance just rubs me the wrong way. Come in here, be respectful, have fun and compete. |
