Idea: While the WCF is weak after its temporary closure, Dan Severn will seek to strong-arm control of the organization by absorbing as many new wrestlers into his stable as possible. Using a team of highly-adept marketing experts, he will craft each grappler under his management into the perfect "product," a performer designed to appeal to the largest audience possible. Once he has every major champion and contender in his control, he'll essentially be able to run the entire promotion; if Seth ever tried to make a match-up or decision Severn didn't like, he could just pull all of his fighters off from the card.
Wrestlers who are successful (Even at a low level) will be ravished with a virtually unlimited supply of money, women, and cocaine. Anybody who ever tried to oppose him or leave his organization will suffer a fate far, far worse than death.

A quick note, one more time, as I'm finalizing the card:
You guys figured out a lot of fun feuds here, and the fact I'm not booking to what you're talking about doesn't mean I've chosen to ignore them - I just want to reiterate, this is going to be a Slam, and that means I'm not exactly booking a show full of awesome-feud-dream-matches. So again maybe that's obvious and you guys already understand but I feel the need to explain myself more than usual!

I get it, but I guess I can also add something to this if nobody else has seen the pattern that I have... The tournament can lead to some interesting pairings as it goes along. The tournament can lead to some other unexpected rivalries in the future, based on character personalities that I've seen in the past. I like the card. But it could use a random-ass 6-man tag team match somewhere... And some cowbell... |
