Stone cold is the worst. He has less moves than roman reigns and was shoved down our throat 1000 times more. I can't tell you how many times I turned on a ppv from the late 90s to early 00s and it was the stone cold show and it want even that good.
You're right. It wasn't Pillman. It was the mr McMahon character that saved the wwf. Without a bad guy for stone cold to fight he wouldn't have been over.

Austin is not the only reason WWF was over in the late 90s, but he was the foundation. He was the first big star of that era. Without him, the boom period either doesn't happen or it's not as big. Vote whatever way you want but at least be fair and acknowledge the man's contributions to wrestling.

Stone Cold along with most of the wrestlers in the Attitude Era may not have been technical or as athletic as some of todays guys but the matches were MUCH more exciting because the crowd was way more into matches back then. Austin himself used to be a very technical mechanical wrestler before he broke his neck and had to protect himself afterwards, which led to him adopting the brawler style. Either way, yeah, nobody gets those kinds of pops anymore like people did back in the mid to late 90's. And Undertaker's gimmick is generic as fuck. AUSTIN DA BESS

Yeah, go back and watch Survivor Series 96. Austin was the man that night on the stick and in the ring.

Hogan's mistakes don't discredit his legacy in wrestling and neither do Austin's. I didn't vote for Hogan in the tournament but at least I can recognize that he changed the game. Again, vote for who you want but be fair.

Jim Ross: STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD! HES SPITTIN' RATTLESNAKE VENOM BAH GAWD!
That being said, I like both men pretty even. I did prefer Undertaker as the American Bad Ass. They at least let him show some personality with that gimmick. Both men have genius minds for the business, but going with overall popularity? Stone Cold.
Vince Russo: He put eyes on the product bro. I remember when it was just me and three guys bro in a stick mud hut trying to make WWF relevant bro. Stone Cold was THE guy before Roman Reigns was even out of his pampers bro.
But yeah, Stone Cold baby.
And that's the bottom muddafukkin' line.
