God damn, everything for that all mighty dollar! My bro and I have been sharing a Network account for the better part of 2 years now. That's only 2 people on one account, 5$ each. But WWE wants my full 10$.
They probably won't get it. I'll just watch the shit for free den, fuck dem.

Yes, how evil of a corporation to reduce its monthly monetary request from $54.99 to $9.99 per household and then continuously produce bonus content for said new system...

I've never understood why people pay for the network when there are plenty of places where you can watch it for free and it generally always streams better than the network too lol

LOL like WWE saw ALL of that pay per view revenue, I'm sure? They were probably only getting roughly 9.99 per buy, if that. That's how they were able to drop it so cheap. I'm just saying that's pretty fucked. Only 1 device at a time per account. It's especially fucked up considering they're a family corporation and market specifically towards shared household viewers.

It's sad they have to be so strict, but the reason is exactly what Kat said, people just expect things they like to continue to succeed without actually doing anything to show they want it to succeed. Also, all these companies expect people to follow their rules without doing anything to enforce them. I've been able to download plenty of free music, but I still buy the albums whenever I have the money to show I like and support what's being done. Maybe if enough people subscribe to the network based on these rules, a new system can be found which better targets people who are just letting their friend use their parent's paid subscription because said friend doesn't want to pay for it or whatever. That's their intention of course, to eliminate those using it for free, and there's nothing wrong with that the way I see it, but the way they have to go about it isn't perfect but that's just the way it is.

I mean, that's fine. They can jank people for money if they want, or they could produce a more entertaining product to justify actually spending $10 a month for a subscription. I'd pay $15 a month for a sub if the product was better.

NXT alone is worth the ten bucks. Being able to watch PPVs in HD on my living room Roku TV is icing on the cake.
They converted me from a pirate to a paying customer and I think the price is very fair. I don't even watch the old PPVs or anything in the vault really. I don't watch any of the "original programming". Still think I'm getting a good deal.

Absolutely. I'm a cheapass pirate that paid for the network on day one. They probably could've asked me to pay $20 a month at the time and Id have paid it..

I do think that a backlash from this will hopefully lead to them creating more special content for subscribers. Hopefully some more in ring network exclusives. (Something like superstars or some jobber show like that, complete with it's own TV title or something.)

There's an e-mail survey out asking if people would be willing to pay more if they added live RAW and Smackdown to the Network.

There's an e-mail survey out asking if people would be willing to pay more if they added live RAW and Smackdown to the Network. As someone who currently does not have a cable provider, I would be willing to pay up to $14.99 a month if it included RAW. Smackdown currently being the ad hoc RAW replay means that I could take or leave it. For some reason though, pushing it up to $19.99 a month strikes me as too much. It could be that I'm cheap or something, but it feels like $240 a year for wrestling is excessive but $180 a year is not. Maybe it's cause it crosses over $200? I dunno.

I'm pretty sure I saw that survey and they were asking if people would pay 12.99 for them to air Raw and Smackdown not live, but the next day.
USA has exclusive deals for those shows, they can't air live on the Network.

Well they have an international cruiser weight tournament that will be airing. They have countless hours of original programming. They have archives of wcw, NWA, ECW, mid south, WWE, etc... And there's even tumors of working. With ROH to put some of their archive on the network (I think specifically people who work forbade now) especially considering that they've been pulling so many of former ROH wrestlers it could be used to help build up the new wwe guys that are Indy darlings.
It's more than worth the 9.99 in my opinion. And paired with Hulu you get to see raw and smackdown too so there's not bones on my end. Bi don't even need cable any more.
Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, wwe network is all I need.

The primary people on the accounts will keep it and say that about 25% of people hacking their friends accounts now buy the network they'll probably get almost another 250,000 subscribers. Not bad.

I mean, I can't say this is a big deal. I think there is so much content on that damn network, they could charge 19.99 a month and it be worth it. 9.99 a month is pretty damn cheap, and if you and your brother live in the same household then just...watch it together. Or just don't watch at the same time. To be fair, I mean, I pay 11.99 a month for Hulu (without commercials cause fuck that) and I watch like...7 shows. Thats worth it for me. Same with Netflix. I don't care about Pro Wrestling enough anymore to buy the Network, but its worth it in my opinion.

Give it a few months, they'll bring out a second package with 2 streams. It'll be like Netflix but for a little more cost.
This is just simply a "Stop letting your neighbour/buddy watch the network for free, you pirating twats" message for now.

This is just simply a "Stop letting your neighbour/buddy watch the network for free, you pirating twats" message for now. I agree, they are setting up for a "multi-device" package. I don't believe the intention has ever been to run the Network at $9.99/mo forever. They will slowly start adding different packages at different prices. They are already asking if people will pay 12.99 to get Raw and Smackdown the day after it airs. When the Network was only a rumored thing, there were different ideas for stuff like PPVs cost extra, you get all the PPVs except Wrestlemania, etc. I'm guessing this type of stuff will happen but I can't imagine the top price package exceeding $19.99. Maybe even $14.99. They will keep it cheap because they know people have other ways to access their content for free. I never paid for a PPV in my life until I bought the Network. It was a decent trade for me-- I pay 10 bucks a month and I get to watch the PPV in HD on my TV instead of fighting through the ads on some sketchy site for a choppy stream that would crap out sometimes. Plus I get NXT and if I ever want to watch an old Wrestlemania, or an old RAW, or ECW, or whatever... it's right there. Sure, I could still find those things, most likely for free, but you're paying for the content to be convenient and reliable.
