who is shinsookay nakamuru* and why should i care
*suzuki nintendo
whatever.
(In all seriousness, have fun, Nakamura is so great because even if he's doing a twenty minute stiff workrate match or a short comedy match he excels. I saw him and Okada versus the Briscoes and it wasn't a MOTY or anything but it was some of the most fun I've ever had!

House shows are always so shitty bum so pumped that you got to see that! It makes going to house shows relevant if stuff like this happens. Imagine how much money thy could make if they did shit like that more often.
After the last house show I saw I determined that I would only go to televised events moving forward. House shows don't do I for me any more.
But if NXT ever comes to town...

Main roster house shows are fucking trash nowadays. Half the cards are jobber matches of like R Truth beating Heath Slater type shit with a couple upper midcard guys main eventing. NXT is better in this field as they either have cool and fresh matches or rematches of what were very good matches from a recent takeover or whatever.

But at MSG it's every champion defending their titles plus the wyatts and Jericho and aj styles and Kevin Owens etc... All top matches. No jobber squashes at all. The matches are usually great. It's just so predictable and nothing interesting like title changes ever happen.

I've been to shit WWE house shows but Ive also seen a few decent ones. Depends on who's there and who you're interested in. Usually midcarders get the longer matches and the main guys just hit their spots and go home. And nothing surprising every happens, house shows are basically non canon.
This NXT show was BY FAR the best wrestling show I've every been to. And I go to WWE shows on a regular basis-- RAWs, Smackdowns, PPVs a few times a year. No comparison between the hot crowd that's actually invested in what's happening, everybody marking out for everything, the intimate feel of the smaller arena, the fucking top notch wrestling... honestly, the title change was icing on the cake. It was already the best show I'd every been to and still would be even if that didn't happen.
Funny thing is I almost left halfway thru the main event to try to beat traffic. I would have bugged out lol.
