Tonight, tonight is Monday night, the night showing that the new work week is in full force. Ultimate Showdown has gone in the record books as one of the most successful WCF Pay Per Views in their history. A new legend was made, new alliances were born, title changes, rookies getting their start, but there was one thing that some people never expected. The fans of WCF thought he was done, out with a broken neck. However, he explained to the fans last night, it was only a sprain. The man they all hated at one point this year because of his actions towards wrestlers like Torture and Creeping Death, the two most beloved wrestlers on the roster of Wrestling Championship Federation. But even when he faced the most hated man in the long history of WCF, Logan, he was still booed by the fans. He never got the fans on his side. No matter who he faced, what he won, who he lost to, the fans never embraced the two year wrestler. But last night, something unexpected happened, some of the fans were cheering him as he was making a speech in the ring. It was mostly boos yet but a few fans were cheering, even chanting his name, happy to see that he is back in the ring. During his speech, he mentioned how he wants to start off at the bottom, in order for him to restart his career in WCF. We know what he did before this year. Beat Creeping Death in a Triple Threat Match for the WCF World Title. Then, he just stopped caring about WCF. He was late to show up every week, would take the easy way out of defending the title he once wanted so much. He was able to cheat his way to a win or a DQ until he came across Outcast. With some help from Bobby Cairo, Outcast was able to beat him for the WCF World Title. After that, he cared less, which some thought wasn’t possible. He lost to Logan at Payback, so he “quit” wrestling for a grand total of two weeks until he came back under his real name, confusing everyone. That didn’t last long either as he was fired for unprofessional conduct backstage. But, he returned after a talk with Seth Lerch. He faced off against Torture at Aftermath in what some people call another great WCF Pay Per View main event. It was there where he sprained his neck. At the time though, he thought it was broken was thus wasn’t sure about his WCF future. Last night, we found out though. So that’s how he got here, in a match at Sunday Slam this week against two men new to the Wrestling Championship Federation, Thunder and Chris North. Thunder made his debut at Ultimate Showdown, but it was a losing effort while Chris North is making his true debut on Sunday. Their opponent is a focused. Their opponent is a former World Champion, a former Cruiserweight Champion and a man who has beat some of the best WCF has offered. Thunder and Chris North have to face the one and only, Reckless Jack on Sunday. But, Reckless Jack is still in New York, at his home, working on a few things before he takes off for the WCF Arena for his redebut this Sunday. For those that remember, Reckless Jack lost his first match back in WCF to Eric Willson after Creeping Death hit him in the head with a Kendo Stick. To him, Thunder and Chris North represent his new road to the top of the WCF Mountain, but it’s going to be a hard one.
We cue into the home of Reckless Jack in Brooklyn, New York. His apartment is messy. Magazines and books scattered all over the floor. Pizza boxes are covering up the counter tops in the kitchen. His office though, it neatly clean. Everything is where it should be. Reckless Jack’s old title belts, articles, awards, etc. are all on the wall, arranged by chronological order. Of course, it dates with WCF first of all, since he made his wrestling debut in this company. On his desk, there are various images of his upcoming DVD, “The Reckless Jack Story: Recklessness Isn’t a Word, It’s a Way of Life.” Many of them show him holding a title in the air but a few show him bloody after one of his grueling hardcore matches against the likes of Creeping Death whether it was in the XCW they were in together or his hardcore match against Torture a couple of months ago. Either way, these covers look to be amazing. Then we see Reckless Jack staring out a window, watching the people walk along the streets of Brooklyn. Kids are playing on the sidewalks, cars are zooming past, laughter is heard from people telling stories or jokes to one another, but this doesn’t seem to faze Reckless Jack. Looking closer, we notice that Reckless Jack is wearing the brand new hoodie of himself. Much like the one he wore at Ultimate Showdown, which is available at WCFShop.com, so go order it. Anyways, his pants are just normal jeans, and the shoes, well, Nikes, something Reckless Jack doesn’t wear often. He rubs his eyes as he turns around, walking to his desk. He sits down in his chair, putting the feet on the desk itself, before turning on iTunes. He browses through his vast song collection, perhaps getting a feel for the mood today? Reckless Jack finally stops and clicks on a song. Upon hearing the song for a few seconds, it is determined that he has put on “Beating on Death’s Door” by Lamb of God. He turns the volume down so it’s just barely heard as a background song. He sighs and takes a deep breath. He exhales and runs his fingers through his black/blonde hair. A dye job gone wrong most likely. Anyways, he takes his feet off the desk and places his hands on the desk now. A few seconds, then minutes of silence fill the air, outside of the music that is barely audible at the moment. Finally, Reckless Jack begins to speak.
Reckless Jack: Here am I, once again, sitting before the WCF fans. The fans who I had thought hated me my whole time here. Last night though, I was cheered by a few of them. But for what? Showing more enthusiasm then I have all year? I don’t know, but that took me off guard though. Hearing those fans chant for Reckless Jack sent chills down my spine. Hear those fans cheering for me in general sent chills down my spine. Never have I gotten such a good reaction in WCF this year. It’s always been “I hate you Reckless Jack” or “Fuck you Reckless” from the fans. So I went on to tell you all, well the people there and the people watching at their homes on Pay Per View that I want to start again down at the bottom. I want to work my way from the ground up. I want to show you fans that I still have what it takes. It begins this week against Chris North and Thunder.
Reckless Jack spins his chair around and stands up. He starts to pace around his office, thinking of the right words to say.
Reckless Jack: Yeah, I am making my return as the Reckless Jack of old this week against the two men I mentioned in a Triple Threat match. The last match I truly cared about here in WCF was a Triple Threat match against Logan and Creeping Death. Those two put up a fight and I expect nothing less from Chris North and Thunder. I know Thunder was in a match at Ultimate Showdown last night. He made a debut like me, he lost to a better man. Of course though, he did have someone hit him in the head with a fucking kendo stick either. But I guess I had that coming though. Thunder, you seem to be a good wrestler and all but this is my time to make my return. You blew your chance at your first win last night and it won’t happen this Sunday either. In all honesty, I think you would be better served to go against someone like Nate Nytro. A man who lost anything and everything through out his career in wrestling. Of course though, he did beat me once or twice. Outside of that though, Nate Nytro was nothing. Anyways, enough talking about Nate Nytro. Thunder, you have money do you not? Then why wrestle. I mean, if I had money like that, I wouldn’t be wrestling… well, I would be, but for free.
I saw your promo for Ultimate Showdown. While you are a good wrestler, you think you are the greatest. That is the problem with you rookies, you aren’t humble enough to know when someone is better then you are. Chad Allen and Conrad Howell may not have been able to match you hold for hold but stepping into the ring with me is an entirely different story. Watch my matches with Logan, one of the so called greatest wrestlers in WCF. Watch how I went hold for hold with him. Watch me kick out of two of his Connectors. Thunder, in due time you will be great, but for the time being, all you are, is just a potential victim to the Reckless Killing.
Reckless Jack stops pacing back and forth. He stands up right for a few seconds, before returning to pacing around the room, like some sort of caged animal, ready to be unleashed.
Reckless Jack: Then we have a true debut of Chris North. He looks like he has been through hell doesn’t he? The man is possessed by some sort of demon maybe. I don’t know for sure. But Mr. North looks to be quite an odd man. I mean, maybe he isn’t a man at all. Maybe he is this “monster” that voice was saying to him. I don’t know and I really don’t care. All he Chris North is psycho. I thought I had a split personality a few months ago, but he takes the cake. But, I could just go outside of the ring and let Chris North and Thunder beat each other to the point of death before making a move. But that would be the Reckless Jack everyone hated. No, I am going to take the fight to them. I will teach them what it’s like to be in WCF. These two think they have a chance at beating me on Slam? I don’t think so.
These two rookies will find out why I am a former WCF World Champion. Why I am considered by some people as one of the best in WCF a few months ago. These two will find out why I am called Reckless Jack. On Sunday, these two better be ready for me. If not, they will suffer in defeat and ponder “How did I become another victim, to the Reckless Killing?”
Reckless Jack pushes the camera over, as it goes into static.
After watching this, we do wonder for real now if Reckless Jack does mean he wants to earn his way back towards the top. I guess we can only think about it for now. The coming months will truly show if he is for real or not. Only time can tell what will happen between now and Sunday. Will Reckless Jack be able to deliver or will Chris North or Thunder be able to score a huge win, knocking off the former WCF World Champion?
