Chapter One.
The world was purged into nothing but chaos. Humans went to war until a small fraction was left to survive in the hope-devouring wastelands of USA. For so long after the year of 2489, the world leaders despised each other until each country waged war with one another to seek world domination. Families turned on each other, friendships were disposed of, violence shot through the roof. Diseases spread, and the population decreased drastically. In the midst of the aftermath, survival was the best chance of living. They desperately searched the lands, and the oceans on the high tides seeking for someone or something to lead them into a new world. A new world where peace, and tranquility was more than pipe dreams or stories to tell children before they went to sleep. The radiation of the atomic war did have one benefit. The new race that spawned from its immense power came to known as "E.O.D''s" better known as Extraordinary. These humans were given supernatural abilities althrough it was very rare to be gifted. It's a one in a million chance, and this race was outnumbered. On the side note, the humans who were searching for a new world found the first ever E.O.D, and bowed before his feet. This man was projected to be a savior, a hero, and also a leader to the new world. His followers stand by him, and worship him as much as they did. To the world, he was a God...to only two...he was the Devil.
2596. USA had only one last state where vegetation, and plant life were still alive. Shielded around by the barren desert where the wastelands were beyond it was a place called "Ophelia." The last remnant of human civilization, and was formally known as Dallas, Texas. The city was quite advanced in machinery, and manufacturing. Opheila was surrounded by titantium walls that almost seemed impenetrable, and were mostly sub-colonized of production plants, oil finery, solar powered generators, homes, and in the center was a skyscraper where this God lived in to look over his people, and his city. Approaching outside the city where two men riding on fairly made bikes that built from scraps of metal, and any other machinery outside the walls that were left from the wars. These men were tasked with one goal. Deliver the Gems of Faith to Ophelia to defeat this God. The Gems of Faith were bestowed on them by the true Gods themselves, and held power beyond anything in the Universe anyone has ever seen. If they delivered it to Ophelia, this "God" would be no more, and his tyranny would come to an end. One of the men travelling on the book was around 31 years of age, very small but very athletic. He was always the hot-headed, short tempered Extraordinary. Everything was either kill or be killed but was always loyal to those who loved him. He went by only one name, and one name only, "Relent". His partner was riding beside him on his book, older of course but surely his mentor, and brother. He took Relent under his wing, and trained him in his arts. His name was known across lands as he was the only man to survive the wrath of this Ophelian God, his name was Pierce.
Relent
There it is, Ophelia.
Pierce
Good. Keep your speed under eighty-five, and stay hidden in the shadows. We don't wanna' attract the snipers.
The two of them were wearing salvaged armor on top of their clothing. Both had on rusty armor plates, shins, and arm sleeves. Relent was wearing specifically a headband with goggles from the sand being thrown around because of their driving while Pierce was only wearing goggles to go with his brown, and teal clothing with his highly customized boots. They were approaching the walls, and changed course to head East as the snipers were scoping on top of the large gates into the city. Pierce had a map locating exactly the path he took from the inside to escape, now it's being used to head back into the same city was held prisoner. They continued to head into the direction of East, moving through the dusty winds as they slipped into a small division between the metallic walls which allowed them safe passage into the production colony of the city. Once coming to a halt on their vehicles, they turned it off, and went on foot inside this little abandoned house. Pierce led the way, and Relent followed.
Relent
You have the Gems with you?
Pierce
Always.
Relent
Okay. So where are we heading?
Pierce
We're currently East of the Tower. The production colony. If we head through the plants, and cross the bridge over the poisonous river, we should be able to make it inside. However, getting there is my worry.
Relent
What makes you say that?
Pierce
Because of him.
Relent
You mean Holden?
He nodded. Relent rolled his eyes, and they continued walking after leaving the abandoned house. The production colony was very busy. The smoke from the fumes were so thick that it even turned the sky brownish, and were heavily filled with a disgusting aroma. Luckily, the two kept walking where the map directed them. They needed to avoid detection at all cost so Pierce, and Andre took refuge into the solar generator plant by sneaking through the back door. A security guard was sitting down managing all the cameras until Pierce grabbed him by the neck, and covered his mouth for Andre to telekinetically knock him out by injecting a force into his head to put him to sleep. After that was done, they continued reaching upstairs into the rafters until hearing a large stomp repeatedly at the ground. Relent caught eye of this, and stopped Pierce for a better look.
Relent
Look.
A cybernetic machine barged through the doors, and the enslaved workers were doing their best to keep up in their jobs. One worker made the mistake of falling to the floor after collecting a few parts to fix a malfunctioning machine. The cybernetic machine marched to him, and it's right claw hooked itself around his neck to leave his body dangling after easily hoisting him off the ground. The worker looked into the machine's head, and a screen showing a face stared back into his eyes.
Worker
Please, please sir. Forgive me. I'm doing my bes--
It's claw twisted into a spinning motion, and the man's head was severed into nothing but charred pieces of flesh. The other workers continued to improve their performance, and were reminded of their consequences for failure. Pierce, and Relent kept moving across the rafters, and eventually made it onto the roof undetected. Relent was pissed to see how that machine just took that worker's head off clean with no regards.
Pierce
Relax.
Relent
Relax. You're telling me to relax? After what we just saw? Holden just took off that dude's head all because he fell to the ground. Now explain to me why I should relax about that?
Pierce
Our mission is to bring the Gems of Faith to the Tower of Ophelia. That's all we came here for. The people serve him, and it's their choice.
Relent
That didn't look like to me. It felt like they were enslaved. You see how scared that guy was? Nobody willingly serves someone who is ready to take your head off because of one slip up. Nobody does that.
Pierce
It's not our problem.
Relent
Might wanna change that statement.
Pierce
Why?
Relent
Because BEHIND YOU!
Pierce ducks, and a spear passes over his body in the air. They were finally caught, and a bunch of security guards rush up to the ceiling with their batons in hand to beat the crap out of them. The first guard comes to Pierce with an overhead right but is parried off, and kicked in the chest to get launched off the ceiling. One of the approaching guards quickly comes to Relent only to be kicked in the jaw, and then knocked down to the concrete with a very powerful spinning back elbow into his nose. Pierce was getting tired of the numbers game so his body starts to vibrate. It stops when he multiplies by two more, and now there are three of himself fighting against the small wave of guards. Relent stretches his hands forward, and telekinetically blasts four guards off the roof to the ground below.
Pierce
We need to get out of here now.
Relent
No shit sherlock! Got any plans?!
Pierce
Take out the roof.
Relent
What?!
Pierce
Just do it!
Relent slammed his hands on the concrete, and emitted a shockwave projected from his mind to startled the pavement under them to start cracking until falling down. The line of security guards were submerged to their death until Pierce grabbed Relent while running to the roof to jump off into the nearest building. They crashed through the wooden roof, and into a dark room where a light was shown in a corner. A blind old lady sat down on a table unphased by the sudden intrusion. Pierce, and Relent were hurt but still able to stand up until they saw the lady.
Chapter Two.
It's about time.
They looked at each other then back to her.
Pierce
Reveal yourself, woman.
I am no one. I've been sent here to help you.
Relent
Sent by who? Ophelia?
No. Though if you do require a name, I shall choose Oracle. I am here to help you on your quest. It is indeed a dark one but still a path.
Relent
What help can an old lady do?
Pierce
Relent...
She chuckled.
Oracle
A young man so eager to jump into battle without knowing who his opponents are.
He rolled his eyes.
Relent
I know who he is. Holden. A man who was once human like all of us. Had a normal life, and also had a normal mind who wanted to just be the best he can be. He was a warrior in the WCF Clan but always came up short when he fought on his own. Especially against the man who was the controller of anger, Vengeance. So after constantly being left on his own without any chance of winning, he always sought help. His original name was Patrilli, and he would always be side by side with the false prophet known as Preecha Kamon. So over the years, these two caused havoc in our lands but eventually Kamon was defeated, and wiped off the face of the Earth. Now that Patrilli was alone, he went back to his old ways of being a lost soul who needed a purpose. Ophelia was that purpose am I right?
Oracle
Continue.
Relent
He made a connection with Patrilli, and erased his memory. He molded him out of the human existence, and formed this cybernetic steam diesel human like machine where he could be unstoppable. He was never filled with human emotion, or even a human mind. He was controlled, and set with tasks. He sought humanity as sheep, and Ophelia named him shepherd. So after that, he was second in command of the city of Ophelia. Those who dare to stand in his way would be put to death, and because of his service, Ophelia named him Warlord. So please tell me why I should be worried about a man who needed a God to give him purpose? You know what I see when I look at Holden? A mindless puppet being played as a pawn. He's nothing more than a program where the writer could make him even suck dick, he would do it without even thinking. We're here to teach him a lesson. We're going to grab him by his skull, take his brain out of the machine, and smash it over, and over until he crumples into nothing. For so long, he's been the instrument of destruction taking lives everywhere he went. He's forgotten that he was a man just like us but more of a bitch. What should we be worried about? Nothing. We're stronger, faster, and more powerful. We weren't molded, we were born like this. We stood together through thick, and thin. He doesn't know what that's like. Holden is just a machine like any other. They can be turned off. As for him thinking we're sheep, he's the biggest sheep of them all. Ophelia is his SHEPHERD in his farm but like just a sleep, he's too dumb, and blind to see it. So when we find him, he's dead. The Gems of Faith are going to come back to us, and we're going to ensure that he's out of way for us to save the slaves from Ophelia.
Pierce was smiling at the passion Relent showed for the task. The Oracle smiled, and nodded.
Oracle
You actually believe that is your destiny?
Relent
It has always been our destiny. See, Holden may think that the human nature is obsolete. He thinks that human nature was the fundamental of which chaos was born, and it is the enemy of our future. He's wrong. He's a machine. Machines don't know whats best for humans. We do. The people need to see that. Although we rely on them, we don't need them to think our own thoughts, and make our own decisions. So when we came face to face with Holden, we're taking him down once, and for all.
Oracle
Good...here is your chance.
Pierce
What?
The elderly woman's chest is ripped apart after a metallic claw rips it way through from behind. It pulls her back, breaking her body through the wall. Pierce, and Relent step back only to see that the large steam-powered machine marches through the crack targeting them. It quickly converts its right claw into a very powerful 50 caliber heavy machine gun.
Pierce
Run!
The two quickly makes it through the open door leading to the outside in the crowded street, and Holden chases after them opening fire on the populated area. All the civilians do their best to run away as many of them are shot down. Pierce, and Andre are following the map in the open streets while Holden chases them down continuing to open fire.
Relent
What now?! Where do we go?!
Pierce
Just keep running!
The two kept running straight until they were surrounded by a large number of Opheficers (Ophelian law enforcers). Holden cut them off from the rear, pointing his weapon to ensure nothing funny would happen. They went down on their knees, and held their hands up to be knocked out into unconsciousness. Their vision went black.
Chapter Three.
Relent was barely slipping back and forth between reality, and his unconsciousness. Visions of him dragged on the floor by Holden marching down a very modernized hallway that looked like chambers holding organic beings. One chamber was marked "Phoenix" , a woman was floating in that chamber mutilated with a smile on her face. He slipped back out of unconsciousness to see another chamber marked "Patrilli". Blackout again.
He saw something. A little shed in the middle of a forest, and he started walking towards it. Animals of the inhabitant running around in their own way, and he was just fixed upon reaching that shed. He knocked on the door, and there was no answer. Relent opened the door, and walked inside to see his own daughters watching television in the living room. He couldn't believe it, how was this even possible? Athena got off the couch, and ran to hug her own father while Serenity approached him, and hugged him too. His arms were immediately wrapped around them until they exploded into a dust.
Relent
No!
He was freaking out, the shed started to collapse on top of him. Reacting quickly, he jumped outside to find the forest burning down. It was like Hell on Earth. A motorcycle was leaned against the wall, and used the opportunity to make his exit before the wildfire burned him alive too. He kept increasing the speed to ensure he wouldn't be harmed, and eventually made it out of the forest into the desert as the environment rapidly changed. He looked all around him, and saw that something was too weird. The environment went from forest, to wildfire to desert. At the tip of the hill he was riding, Pierce was there standing for his arrival. He parked the motorcycle on top of the hill, and approached his own partner.
Relent
Pierce, we got to leave. The world is changing, and it's getting too--
Pierce
What gives you the right to say my name?
Relent
What?
Pierce
You were always so eager to just fight against him. You should have joined him. Your life would have been easier but no. The moment he saved us, you have to defy him. So blind, and so weak.
Relent
Wha--what? ...What are you saying Pierce? What are you talking about?!
Pierce took his own sweet time turning around. His face were filled with battle scars, and the engraved signal of Ophelia was marked on his forehead. Relent backed away slowly, this was too much. Pierce smirked.
Pierce
The look on your face says it Relent. Fear. I can taste it from a mile away. When I first saw eyes on you, I thought you would be the heir to my throne. The next one in line to rule my city, and take my teachings to the nations that would come ahead for centuries. I saw how deep your anger, your pain, your suffering, and the evil inside would dig itself. You are truly the next heir but yet you turned your back on your real destiny. You defied me, and thought you could live peacefully without the consequences? You fool. I am GOD! I will bestow my power on those who dare to challenge me. The Phoenix, Patrilli, and even Atreyu of the Anarchists understood that...even your own daughters.
Relent
My daughters died a peaceful death, and HOW DARE YOU SPEAK THEIR NAMES!
Pierce
I will make sure your suffering will be eternal. I will break you until you will become my new servant. One who will unleash Hell, and one who will take over my throne. Relent, prepare for your final TASK!
His head was ringing with pain, and he collapsed onto his knees. The screams of his daughters, his family, friends were overbearing. Relent continued to yell at the top of his voice until he fell onto his own face, bleeding from his mouth, and ears. In that little tiny moment, something happened. He saw the Oracle come back to him, and nodded as she presented the Gems of Faith in his hands. They started glowing dark red, and Ophelia noticed this. He left Pierce's body to explode into dust while his true form was exposed to the power of the Gems of Faith. A voice was heard echoing in a distorted way.
Pierce
Wake up RELENT! WAKE UP! WAKE THE FUCK UP!
Ophelia stood over him in this illusion, and grasped by the throat.
Relent
You...think....because you can use my fears against me, you've won? You're wrong. I know who you are Ophelia or should I say K.L? I'm looking into your own eyes, and I know exactly who I am facing. The reason why you want to get rid of me is because I don't fear you, you fear the courage I have to go into battle, and do everything I can to beat you. Pierce may have escaped you but together, we will use our Gems of Faith to end you! You know why these people love you? It's because you force everything on them when they needed the truth. You're nothing more than a power hungry tyrant who will do anything to stay where he is, and where he wants. When I saw how you led this people, I saw the evil that was the beginning of our extinction. The evil that started the apocalypse, and brought this shell of a world we live in. I thought it would be over after the great war but I was wrong, you're that evil. K.L. There is a TIMEBOMB for every action you do. I'm going to expose to you the people as the real person you are. A spineless coward who has done his best to try, and break me. But when you have courage, you're unbreakable!
Ophelia's body started to distort, and the Gems of Faith power covered his entire body. The illusion wore off, and it's shown to be the thrown room where Pierce, and Relent are standing together okay, and improved by the power of the Gems. Their own abilities amplified, and were given power beyond their wildest imagination. Ophelia was pinned down by the sheer winds in his throne room, and screamed.
You see my own friend. Pierce took me, and helped me to become the person I am today. There is no one else I would share this task with, and I know he would say the same to me. To believe in oneself, you have to overcome fear by eliminating it with courage. When we had the opportunity to take you down, we seen it. You tried to poison our minds with fear but deep down, you have feared this day. You've feared the day somebody would overthrew you so you did whatever it takes to ensure we wouldn't be here. As for your friend Holden....
Holden was right on cue. He came bursting through the walls only for Pierce to blast him into nothing but pieces using the power of the Gems.
He's gone. The TIMEBOMB has come to descend on you, and now you're going to die. This is your ending, and BE GO--

Andre got up from his chair at a Marriott Hotel throwing the controller at the wall. Grayson laughed, and watched him rage as it ruined the final boss of the video game with their own customized story, and universe.
"Relentless" Andre Holmes
Motherfucker! Just as I was about to fucking blow him up.
Grayson Pierce
Chill man. It's just a game. Oh shit, we gotta head out. You ready?
"Relentless" Andre Holmes
Yep. Let's retain our belts, and beat the shit out of these fucks.
