Nagasaki stumbles through the deserted hallways on the hotel thinking to himself that there is no way this could be real, it has to be a trick or something, Nagasaki leans himself against a wall so he can catch his breath and try to gather himself. His stomach growls at him, begging for food, anything would do.
Nagasaki: Let’s see if there is anything in the bistro at this hotel.
Nagasaki walks for a few minutes towards the bistro praying that they would have something for him. When he finally got there he saw the worse thing he could imagine, a sign that says “CLOSED.”
Nagasaki: That’s ok, I’ve got the money from Nobunaga I’ll go across the street and get food!
Nagasaki looks through his pockets in his robes only to find change from the other day. In his haste Nagasaki had left the money given to him and the key card in his room, but after what he had just witnessed he had no reason to go back into there anytime soon.
The hunger in his belly grew more intense with each passing moment. He needed something to keep going. He hunched over in pain and then he heard the sound of his savior. A vending machine had just dropped a beautiful treasure into the receiver tray. Hope filled the sumo as he picked himself up and walked toward the sound of the vending machine, every shaky step made him excited at the prospect of food. When he finally got there he saw what would save him. A bag of chips with a man who looked surprisingly like Cormack. This was the last thing in the vending machine.
Nagasaki: Yes only 75 cents. I have just enough for this.
He places the money in the machine and presses the buttons for the snack food. The machine whirs as the twisted piece of metal spins allowing the bag of chips to come closer to the edge. Nagasaki begins to sweat in anticipation. He licks his lips as the world begins to slow down the closer the bag of chips gets closer the edge. It’s almost there now just as the chips reach the edge the whirring stops. The chips freeze in place.
Tears begins to well up in Nagasaki’s eyes. All he wanted was some food. He smashes his hands against the uncaring machine and hears the sound of hope, the chips move slightly. A massive smile appears on the sumo’s face. He now knows what he has to do. He begins to smack the machine without mercy, hitting it in the sides and rocking it back and forth. With each hit the chips move mere centimeters but its movement none the less until it reaches a point where it doesn’t move in the slightest no matter how hard he hits it.
At this point a passerby sees the sumo charging the machine and was curious at what the massive man could possibly be doing. She approaches him carfully and just watches for a moment. As she sees the man get into a sumo starting position, then charge the machine and smack into it belly first and begin smacking it in the sides. She pulls out a note pad and pen and begins to approach him.
Woman: Um hello sir?
Nagasaki: YES MISS WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?
Woman: I am Miss Blake I’m with the press I was wondering if I could have an interview with the great Nagasaki?
Nagasaki: OF COURSE BUT I NEED TO BEAT THIS UNCARRING BEARDED DRESS WEARING WEAKLING FIRST.
Blake: Um alright? Is this how you are preparing for you fight against Cormack?
Nagasaki: I AM GOING TO DESTROY YOU AND EAT YOU FOR DINNER!
Nagasaki charges the machine and punches the glass but it simply flexes and pushes Nagasaki back. He runs at it again and leaps at it but the machine doesn’t move and inch.
Nagasaki: YOU THINK THIS WILL END IN MY DEFEAT? YOU THINK ILL LET THIS END IN A DRAW YOU BEARED WASTE OF SPACE? LOOK AT YOU! YOU COULDN’T BEAT ME BEFORE AND YOU WONT BEAT ME NOW?
Blake: Are you referring to the draws that happened the last time that you faced each other? How do you think you are going to beat him this time?
Nagasaki looks up at the machine and thinks to himself, I have no other choice.
Nagasaki: wait here.
Blake: Okay?
He runs upstairs with rage in his face. He runs down the hall way to his room, every step makes him feel more anxiety as he now has accepted his fate. He reaches his door and begins to look for his room key, he remember he left it in the room. Nagasaki rests his hand on the door and it opens.
Nagasaki: Wait I know I shut this door when I ran out earlier.
He enters the room, it’s covered in ice again. The door slams behind him, his hunger is replaced by fear, fear of what is going to happen to him. He goes to the table in the center of the room. The red mask is sitting on the table with a note that says, give me faith.
Nagasaki enters the room that has the vending machine. He stares at it, Miss Blake looks at him and notices he has changed since she last saw him. He reels his arm back and with one punch bends the machine in half, shatters the glass and the bag of chips falls to the floor.
Nagasaki/Mask: this is gonna feel good
