The ring floods after the near pin with all the wrestlers. Everyone begins swinging fists while cVc hits the mat with both fists in frustration.
Freddy Whoa: The referee has lost complete control. cVc is yet to pin Tiffany White and he’s losing it now.
Zach Davis: He better watch out!
As Tiffany gets up, cVc roars and Clotheslines her, sending both competitors flying out. Mikey eXtreme Clotheslines Bernard Core out of the ring, only to turn and get a Big Boot by Vengeance!
Freddy Whoa: Vengeance turns-
BEAVER TO BELLY TO VENGEANCE! Dustin Beaver drops down and pins him!
One!
Two!
Three!
Gravedigger: Another victory for #BeachKrew!
Beaver rolls out of the ring following his victory, not wanting any part of any of the other competitors still ringside. He celebrates briefly as he backpeddles up the ramp.
Zach Davis: Well, it was a victory for his entire team, but... sure, Gravedigger, however you want to look at it!
Freddy Whoa: We've still got Vengeance up against Mikey eXtreme at Timebomb. Vengeance got the best of Mikey here tonight, what'll happen next week?
The US Champion Mikey Extreme and the number one contender Vengeance stare at each other as slam goes to commercial. Vengeance has sweat pouring off his face. His face paint is almost gone, but he stands there face to face with Mikey Extreme. The crowd starts chanting fight….fight….fight Vengeance steps closer to Mikey and continues staring into his eyes. Vengeance drops his head and looks towards the ring mat as if something suddenly was bothering him.
This was the second week in a row he had been pinned. Something was on his mind and as much as he tried to hide it he couldn’t. He backed away from Mikey Extreme and climbed through the ropes landing on the floor. The crowd gave a mixed reaction to this not because they didn’t like Vengeance but because they wanted to see them fight now and not wait until TimeBomb. Vengeance slowly walked back up the entrance ramp trying to block his emotions.
Vengeance reached the stage area and looks out towards the crowd like he does after every match. While looking through the crowd he notices a couple with wearing Vengeance shirts who brought there kid to see slam and had his face painted just like Vengeance. Emotions once again started coming over Vengeance as he quickly turned his back and slowly walked through the curtain reaching the backstage area.
As Vengeance walked into the backstage area he kept his head down looking towards the floor as he took his right hand and ran his fingers through his sweat filled black hair moving it from his face. Vengeance finally reached his locker room. He took a deep breath and sighed as he slowly reached up with his right and turned the door knob to the left and slowly pushed the door open, walking in and closing it behind him.
Again he sighed as he looked over the small locker room. The walls where white in color, there was four metal folding chairs set up, one which held his suitcase full of clothes. The carpet was tan in color and there was a couple painted forest pictures hanging from the wall. The emotions that Vengeance had been feeling over the past couple weeks finally get the best of him.
Vengeance grabs a metal folding chair and throws it against the white wall. The sheer force of his thrown puts a whole through the wall. He grabs another folding chair and throws it against one of the forest paintings which shattered the paintings cover and glass flew everywhere. He picked up a third folding chair and also through it against the wall putting a second hole into it. He let out a loud scream.
His emotional outburst was easily herd outside of the locker room in the backstage area which peaked the curiosity of some who started to gather around on the outside of the locker room. Chris was eating in catering when he got word of something happening in Vengeance’s locker room. Once he found out about what was happening he stopped eating and ran down the hallway to Vengeance’s locker room.
Once he got to the locker room he could hear Vengeance screaming with frustration. Chris looked around as more people started gathering around to see what exactly was going on. Chris asked people to move on. A few people agreed and walked away but most of them stayed around to see what was going on. Chris dressed in black suit, blue shirt, blue and white striped tie.
Chris reached up with his left hand and loosened his tie. He then took off his suit jacket and placed it on a table that was near the door to the locker room. He knew he had to walk in there and face whatever was happening on the other side of the door and that made him nervous. He was nervous because he knew Vengeance had a violent side, but he also knew he had to overcome his nervous feeling and go inside the locker room
Chris slowly reached up with his left hand and slowly turned the door knob to the left. He took a deep breath as he became more nervous by the second. He slowly opened the door and looked inside the locker room. His nerves quickly turned to shock to see how destroyed the locker room was. He saw metal chairs lying on the ground, he saw holes in the wall, and he saw a broken picture frame. Then he noticed Vengeance sitting in the corner with his head down.
Chris walked inside the locker room and shut the door behind him so no one could see inside. Chris again looked around the room, his green eyes grew bigger while surveying the damage Vengeance had caused to his locker room. Chris took another deep breath and blew it out. He then looked at Vengeance sitting in the corner. Chris knew in his mind he had to say something, but he didn’t know what he was going to say.
Chris picked up Vengeance’s black suit case and sat it on the floor. Chris grabbed the metal folding chair and placed it away from Vengeance and sat down. He reached up with his right hand and removed his tie and unbuttoned his collar. He continued to think what to say. He needed to say something that would hopefully defuse the situation instead of making it worse. He also knew he needed to find out what was wrong. Was it back to back losses or was it something else?
Chris stated started to speak in a soft but nervous voice.
Chris: Hey man, what’s going on? Are you ok?
There was no response from Vengeance as he kept his head down.
Chris: Come on, we can fix all of this. I get it, I really do, you had a couple bad weeks, took a couple losses, that doesn’t affect the future. You still get to have that title match next week at TimeBomb. All this goes away it’s the past. Look if you really are this angry and it looks like you are why don’t you take it out on Mikey Extreme instead?
Again there was no response from Vengeance as he once again kept his head down ignoring Chris’s voice. His emotions were still getting the best of him.
Chris: We can fix this. This isn’t like you to hide your thoughts. You can talk to me; we have been friends for years you know this. There is no shame in that. Tell me what’s going on. Is it the losses? Everyone goes through that. Next Sunday you can get revenge and everything is good in the world again. Come one man get up. TimeBomb is what you worked for; don’t hurt yourself by doing this.
Vengeance slowly raised his head, his face paint was nearly gone, his eyes were teary, and he looks at Chris as he wipes his eyes.
Vengeance: I want to go home. I’m going home.
Chris’s green eyes lit up with surprise. The thought of Vengeance wanting to retire weeks ago filled his head once again.
Chris: No..No…No..No, you can’t, we can’t, and you are not doing this again. Please don’t the time isn’t right. You have worked so hard. You’re only a week away from becoming champion again. It’s almost been three years and a month since you were champion. You can’t leave now this is what you wanted. You have Mikey Extreme’s number he can’t beat you, everyone knows this.
Vengeance stands up wiping a tear from his eye.
Vengeance: I am fully aware of all those facts. I’m going home. I can’t do this.
Before Chris could say anything Vengeance grabbed his suit case and walked down to the showers and took a shower. Twenty minutes went by and Harley Rhodes came back to the locker room pulling his suit case. Harley felt over whelming sadness. No one seemed to remember why except for Harley as he was letting his emotions get the best of him. He looked inside the locker room as the door was open and looked at the damage that was caused. He sighed and walked down the hallway and exited the building
Chris was standing outside in the parking lot. He had cut check to pay for the damages to the locker room. Chris watched Harley walk towards him with his head held down looking at the ground. Chris had already called for a cab for them to be taken to the airport. Harley finally reached Chris and looked at him but didn’t say anything. Chris looked back at Harley and could clearly see something major was bothering him but he decided to leave him alone for now. A few minutes later the cab pulled into the parking lot
After the yellow cab stopped driven by a younger man who appeared to be in his early thirty’s. The cab driver opened the trunk of the late 90’s crown Victoria that had seen it’s better days in the police force. Harley threw his suit case in the trunk and got in the driver side rear door and shut it behind him. Chris placed his suit case in the trunk and closed the trunk lid. He then got in the rear passenger side door, sat down and closed the door behind him. He told the taxi driver to take them to the airport.
The twenty minute can ride to the airport was quite. Harley sat quietly in the back seat and didn’t say a word the whole ride. He continually stared out the window seemly in a day dream ignoring everything around him including the rock music the cab driver was playing on the radio. Chris went through his emails and also ignored everything during the ride. The cab finally reached the airport and dropped them off at the private jet entrance. Harley and Chris both got out and grabbed their suit cases from the trunk.
They walked through the gate and walked about one hundred yards before reaching the private jet. The door was already open and the engines were running. Chris climbed the steps and walked inside the jet first and sat down, Harley followed and also sat down in the row behind Chris. The pilot closed the door and walked back into the cockpit and got ready for takeoff. After the pilot was cleared for takeoff he drove the plane to the runway and took off into the night sky.
Both Harley and Chris slept through the flight. The flight was a few hours long and it was a nice and smooth ride, before finally landing at the Des Moines, Iowa airport. The plane landing on the run way awoke both Harley and Chris. The pilot parked the plane near the private jet entrance to the airport. After parking the plane he shut the engines off and left the cockpit opening the plane door. Harley and Chris both grabbed their suit cases and exited the plane.
Chris already had a shuttle lined up from the airport so they could be driven to Harley’s house. The airport provided a small white ford van driven by a man in his mid-forties. Harley and Chris climbed in the back seat and the driver took off. It took about fifteen minutes before they finally reached Harley’s house. They climbed out of the van with their suit cases and the driver took off. Harley walked up to the house and unlocked the door and opened it. He walked through and turned on the light’s Chris followed. They both sat their suit cases down in the living room.
Chris: Are you going to talk to me yet? Like actually have a conversation and tell me what is going on? I have seen you emotional before but that was anger, this isn’t anger.
Harley stared at Chris and didn’t say word. He wasn’t quite ready to talk about what was bothering him. But it happened three years ago and it was the worst time of his life.
Chris: Look you can’t keep doing this. This is the wrong time for this. You have the biggest match since you returned at TImebomb. That United States title is as good as yours. You have Mikey Extreme’s number, everyone can see it. All you need to do is show and be Vengeance.
Again Harley didn’t say anything. He just stood there and shook his head. He didn’t feel like having a conversation about TimeBomb, the United States title, or Mikey Extreme.
Chris: Really? You need to get your shit together. You lost a couple matches who give a shit they didn’t mean anything. You can’t lose this Sunday. This is your one chance to prove you still can hang with the younger generation. It has been three long years; they finally give you a title shot. Don’t fuck this up! I’m going to bed.
Chris was growing frustrated at the fact Harley didn’t give a response. He stayed straight faced and took whatever Chris had to say which was unlike Harley. Chris left the living room and walked to the bedroom and went to sleep for the night. Harley walked out of the living room and down the hall. He entered his office and turned the lights on. His office was tan in color with tan carpet. There was a medium sized oak desk that sat in front of a window. A black leather chair also sat next to the desk. The walls were full of pictures and replica title belts.
Harley walked over to the wall were he had two replica WCF title belts hanging. One was the WCF internet championship and the other was the WCF Hardcore championship belt. In between the two belts were a picture of his mom and dad. His parents were huge wrestling fans and raised Harley to become one also. He went a step further and actually did what they all loved. The proudest moment in his parents lives were when he signed his first wrestling contract in 2004 and the second was when he signed his WCF contract in 2012.
The last proud moment his parents had was when he became the internet and hardcore champion in late March of 2013. A month later he had a fall out with WCF and left the company. This was his parent’s last disappointment. His parents knew he was better than that and raised him to never quit. Shortly after leaving WCF in April of 2013 his parents were both killed in a car accident. His mother was a stay at home mom and his father served as a marine for twenty years and was extremely proud of his country. Harley wished he could have become a United States champion before that horrible April day in 2013 but it never happened.
Now Harley gets his chance almost three years later. He wished he never disappointed his parents by leaving the company and he wished his parents were still around to see him fight as Vengeance for a championship one more time. He especially wished his dad could see him as Vengeance become the United States Champion. All this took a toll on him with made him extremely emotional. He slowly reached up with his right hand and ran his fingers over the picture and started to speak in a soft whisper.
Harley Rhodes: I’m sorry
That was all the words he could speak before he started choking up and tears ran down his face. He wiped away the tears with his left hand. He looked to the floor then took one last look at the picture hanging on the wall before he turned around and turned the lights off in the office and walked out closing the door behind him. He walked into his bedroom and changed into a shirt and basketball shorts and climbed into bed and fell asleep for the night.
The night quickly turned to day and by 11am Harley woke up. He felt somewhat better then yesterday but no matter what happens this week was going to be emotional for him, he couldn’t hide it. He knew he needs to open up to Chris and explain his actions. He also knew what Chris said last night was right, he couldn’t fuck this chance up and he needed to do it for himself and for his parents. Chris was already awake and had left the house and brought back breakfast.
Harley finally got out of bed after lying around for ten minutes awake. He walked down the hall way and into the kitchen where Chris had eggs, bacon, and some toast from a local restaurant. Harley grabbed the Styrofoam container and sat down at the table. He sat at the table quietly and ate his breakfast. Chris gave him an awkward stare as he wasn’t sure if Harley was actually going to talk to him today. After few minutes Chris decided try and talk to Harley again.
Chris: Well are you going to talk to me today? We have been friends for years. There is no reason why you shouldn’t tell me what’s going on inside that head of yours. You know I have your back always have always will have. I didn’t mean to jump down your throat last night but I really want to see you as a champion again, you deserve this everyone knows this.
Harley stopped eating and looked up at Chris he knew he had to say something he couldn’t continue being mute.
Harley Rhodes: This is an emotional week for me Chris. I lost my cool after Slam.
Chris shrugged
Chris: It happens; there is nothing wrong with showing emotions. But I think you went a little far destroying the locker room like it. So you lost two weeks in a row, I have repeated myself over and over it’s not that big of a deal those matches don’t matter. I mean the other thing that matters is Timebomb.
Harley Interrupts
Harley Rhodes: It’s not about losing two matches in a row, Chris, I could care less about those two matches I get it, and they don’t matter. I know the only thing that matters is Timebomb and Mikey Extreme. It has nothing to do with losing two weeks in a row. Do you remember the first part of 2013?
Chris shakes his head no
Chris: Wait how could I forget, you won two titles and walked out of WCF at the peak of your career. Everyone knows that.
Harley Rhodes: Yeah that was a dark time in my life but do you remember what happened after that?
Chris thinks for a few seconds and his eyes light up as he realized Harley’s parents died.
Chris: Oh, yes your parent’s. Sorry I try to block that out it was a horrible day. This time comes every year why the outburst? You don’t have to answer that.
Harley sighs
Harley Rhodes: No it’s fine you deserve an explanation. My parents were huge wrestling fans when I grew up. It was the happiest time of their life when I started wrestling. Winning titles were some of the proudest moments of their life. I will never forget the disappoint I caused them when I walked out. It haunts me every day of my life. My parents were disappointed in me when they were killed in that car accident. My dad loved this country, That United States title around my waist would have been the happiest day in his life I have no doubts about that.
I sit here days away from TimeBomb pay per view to get that very chance of putting that title around my waist and my dad won’t be here to see it. I still question myself to this day, if I never walked out would the still be here? Would they have seen me win more titles? Would have I won the United States title with my dad watching from ringside? All those questions will never be answered now. The last conversation I had with my parents is when I told them I left WCF. They both were at ringside for my two title wins. Now I’m going to look ringside Sunday for this title match and they won’t be there.
Tears start to fall from Harley’s face
Chris: I get It, I really do. I think you need to go out there this Sunday and win this match for them. Make them proud of you again; show them that their son is still that person. They will be watching you, it may not be from ringside, it may not be from inside the arena, but they will be watching. They will be cheering you on like they always have. There is nothing you could have done to prevent what happened that night. That car accident was going to happen if you wrestled or not. It’s not your fault. This is your chance for redemption. For your parents and for you.
Harley reached up with his left hand and wiped the tears away from his eyes. He shook his head in agreement to what Chris said.
Harley Rhodes: Your right, I shouldn’t be acting like this. This is probably making me look like a weak man crying and shit. What the hell is wrong with me? I’m glad no one saw this.
Chris interrupts
Chris: Crying doesn’t make you look weak; you’re human just like anyone else.
Harley smirks as he still refused to smile
Harley Rhodes: Yeah maybe that’s true. I need to do some things while we are here before we fly out to Texas. I need to get myself right.
Chris: That’s fine with me. I have some work I need to get down anyways. Plus I wouldn’t mind just relaxing for a couple days. I think we should go to Brooklyn for a couple days before we head to Texas.
Harley Rhodes: Why would you want to go to Brooklyn for? I cannot stand the way those fuckers talk in the northeast, like seriously I would rather listen to a southern accent then those fucks. Brooklyn, Brooklyn why does that sound ah never mind Mikey Extreme are from that shit hole. I got you on that. Alright I’ll agree to that but I won’t make any promises of not beating someone’s ass, I really cannot stand that dumb fucking accent. The world can thank Vengeance when he becomes the new Untied States Champion. When do you have that booked for?
Chris: We will leave early Wednesday then we will leave for Dallas on Thursday so you have a couple extra days to relax and check out the arena, if that works?
Harley shook his head in agreement.
Harley Rhodes: Yeah that should be fine. I think I need to hit the weights today then go visit my parents and I’ll be ready to go. I think going to the cemetery will help me let everything out and then hopefully I will feel better and be ready to move on and do what I do best. This is my chance at redemption.
Harley finished eating his breakfast and stood up from the stable and walked out of the house towards the pole building that held his personal gym and wrestling ring. He unlocked and opened the pole building door and turned on the lights. He looked around the building and he saw what was left over from the attempted sacrifice Vengeance attempted on a Raymond Hatcher fan. This made Harley smirk again as he seemly enjoyed it.
Harley started stretching and getting warmed up to start lifting weights. He decided he was going to take it easy today and did some light running on the treadmill and some light weight lifting. After about an hour of working out he decided to stop and walked over to his ring and sat on the ring steps. He felt better after opening up to Chris, but now the thought of Mikey Extreme was starting to linger in the back of his head. He started to shake his head before speaking to himself.
Harley Rhodes: Fucking Mikey Extreme. So week after week nothing changes. WCF management thought it was going to be a money maker to place you over and over in a match with Vengeance. It is really funny how that worked out for you isn’t? Vengeance wasn’t anything but a shell of himself and you still couldn’t get the job done. You can’t beat Vengeance Mikey as much as you want to pretend that you are this great United States champion, you are really just shit. Does that make Vengeance the bad guy because I said that? The answer is no, the answer is no because the whole world knows this.
This Sunday you will have be champion for what around 98 days or so? 98 days that WCF had protected you and put you against people they knew you could beat. Then they decided to put you up against one of the big boys on the January 17th 2016 edition of slam to test just how good there united states champion actually was. But you weren’t the only one being tested in that match were you? There is no denying the hot topic around WCF has been can the veterans keep up with the new generation. Could Vengeance still be the same person from 2013? Can you answer that question Mikey?
Would you like me to answer that question for you? The answer is actually quite simple, however it may be too complex for your small brain. You got read your last rights. The jackknife powerbomb that laid you out on your back as you were then pinned by Vengeance. You shouldn’t even be champion right now. Just like with any wrestling company they want to protect they younger talent because people like you are the future of this business. But what happens what that talent isn’t as good as something like Vengeance?
You have had several chances now to prove to the world you can beat Vengeance, but you haven’t. I know you sit there and pretend to play with your dark lords or whatever the fuck you call them but, any smart man who has had chance after chance to put Vengeance down would be questioning the fact if they could even do it. I have a feeling that you aren’t that smart Mikey. You’re going to tell yourself and the people of this country who watch WCF that you weren’t on your “A” game. But everyone knows that is nothing but a lie.
Harley stands up off the ring stairs and walks towards the scene of the failed sacrifice of a Raymond Hatcher fan and smirks. He leans down and picks up a replica WCF United States championship that was left behind. He turns around and walks back to the ring steps and sets down again. He looks at the belt and cracks a small smile as he knew holding this championship was more than important.
Harley Rhodes: Winning this title is the most important thing in my life. The World title, The Hardcore title, The TV title, all of them is not important to me. This title, the United States title is the most important goal I have in my life on so many levels. This title has made me show emotions that I never show. This title means everything to me. I’m not going to sit here and pretend to be someone I’m not like you do Mikey. The people wanted to know about my personal life that I kept hidden for so long, and I have shared things that people should probably never know.
But I’m not like you Mikey, I refuse to pretend to be somebody I’m not. The fact you lie in each and every promo makes you no better than a crooked politician. America hates people like that, they hate people like you. Why don’t you do America a favor and speak some truth when you talk. You know deep down inside you are scared of Vengeance. I know for a fact you doubt yourself every day that you can actually when this Sunday at Timebomb. Why not just admit it Mikey? Everything you pretend to be is quite frankly ridiculous. I have told you time and time again as much as you want to be Vengeance you’re not.
I have no problems with you having Vengeance as your idol and to be completely honest with you I really don’t have a problem with you trying to be like him. You can try to be like Vengeance all you want but you will never be on that level. Everyone knows that and the sooner you realize it the better off you will be. Denial and delusion seem to be a common theme that most of the roster possesses these days. You are no different than anyone else who thinks they could beat me and try to be me. Vengeance has made a career out of people trying to make a name for them by defeating Vengeance, it doesn’t work Mikey, you should already know this but you refuse to accept the truth because you are in denial.
I on the other hand speak reality. I have been nothing but honest every time I speak. There is no doubt that I need that belt for so many different reasons. I don’t deny that the career of Vengeance was in desperate times. I won’t deny the fact that I almost officially retired a few weeks ago because of that. But then something clicked, I realized that Vengeance could hang with the new generation and he is actually better than most of them. That belt will be the icing on the cake for Vengeance. Almost three years later he will once again be called champion.
That belt represents the United States of America. That belt gets you called the champion of this great country. This country meant everything to my family growing up. This country was good to my family and my family has given back to this country for most of my life. What has you and your family done for this country Mikey? You have disrespect for this country calling it Mikey’s America and quite frankly you should be deported. Saying things like that you disrespect every single person who has served this country.
You disrespect people like my father who served over twenty years as a marine. Who do you think you are Mikey? What makes you so great that you call this country yours? You aren’t shit and the fact you disrespect people like my father who was the greatest person on this earth and gave over twenty years of his life protecting this country is complete bullshit. I know you are too ignorant to apologize for disrespecting people like so take this as a warning, Vengeance will beat an apology out of you, I can promise you that.
Anger was building inside Harley and that face he was believed Mikey Extreme was disrespecting his late father. He puts the replica WCF United States Title over his shoulder and starts pointing to it with his right index finger and begins speaking.
Harley Rhodes: My father was the strongest man I have ever known. He was a man who never shed a tear in front of me. This Untied States title around my waist would have made him cry. That’s how much he loved this country. As a wrestling fan growing up he would always tell me that the United States title was the most important belt in any wrestling company because it represented this country. We would have arguments growing up about the rank of title belts, I would say the World and Hardcore titles were more prestige and he would obviously disagree with me. But that never changed my mind.
When Vengeance walked into WCF in 2012 I was hell bent on becoming a hardcore champion. Vengeance did everything in my power to carve a path of destruction to prove that Vengeance was the one of the most violent men on the roster. That happened, but now that I look back on it my father was right. It should have never been about the hardcore championship, I should have listened to him. Now I regret that I didn’t. Now it’s too late. Now I question what was the biggest mistake of Vengeance’s career? Was it walking out of this company or was it not winning the United States title when my father was alive?
I have no problems admitting when I am wrong. I regret that time in my life and would give anything to go back in time and change it. I would give anything to see the look on my father’s face. My father bragged all the time to his friends that his son was a professional wrestler named Vengeance, and he always told his friends he wished he would win that damn United States title. But that never happened. I never got the chance to make that a reality for him. I can no longer let that be the case Mikey, I can no longer let you disrespect this country that my father loved and served.
Harley takes the title off his shoulder and places it crossed his left knee. He squints his eyes as a question popped into his head. A question he wanted an answer too.
Harley Rhodes: You know Mikey we should have had a debate over this United States title and the direction of your career. I have a million questions for you that I want answered and I’m sure the rest of the WCF fans would like the same answers as well. Your whole career you have lived off this fantasy of you pretending its Mikey’s America and it was only fitting you held the United States title. But what happens what you time on Mikey’s America of Fantasy comes to an end? What happens to you Mikey?
You have lived you whole career in WCF preaching the delusion of Mikey’s America. What happens when your fantasy of Mikey’s America comes crashing down at Timebomb? What are you going to preach to the people who you think that follow you? What kind of excuses will you come up with? Will it be the typical excuses? Will you tell more lies and tell everyone you had an off night? Will you tell more lies and tell them that Vengeance got lucky? After all that is what you called it last time wasn’t? Vengeance got lucky. Mikey’s fantasy America is full of lies. You fantasy is ending Mikey, you know it, I know it, the WCF roster knows it, and the WCF fans know it.
But what happens to your career when you can no longer live this fantasy? Without that title that you disrespect each and every week it’s around your waist what will you become? You don’t even realize it do you? You don’t realize that United States title that you are clinging on is the only thing that makes you relevant. That title means everything for the success of you career and you know it. That title is the only thing that helps the very few people that actually listen to the bullshit you speak. It’s been known that there are some people who live in this country who hate it and you are one of them aren’t you.
You actually hate this country so much that you have to call it your America. Why do you need to call it Mikey’s America? There is nothing wrong with its original name. This isn’t you country Mikey. The people in this country hate you. How many times do I have to say it before it sticks in your head? The people of this fucking country hate you Mikey. As much as you don’t want to admit it these people decided if you have a wrestling career or not. Honestly I don’t know if you have a wrestling career after TimeBomb or not. I don’t feel bad for you. The Wednesday night show always needs something new maybe they could open a slot for you.
I know this is going too hard for you to swallow but what happens to your gimmick when you are no longer champion? It’s all about Mikey’s Fantasy of America yet he’s not good enough to be champion in his so called America. I have tried to warn you time and time again Mikey, but you simply don’t want to listen to what I have to say. I warned you the first time we fought and I will warn you again. Mikey’s Fantasy of America is coming to an end this Sunday at Timebomb, there is not a damn thing you can do it about it.
This Match is bigger than people realize. This will be a career defining moment for Vengeance and you Mikey. People say this could be the match of the night. Vengeance’s career has turned around completely and yours is sinking faster than the titanic. I really hope for the sake of the WCF Wednesday night show they can find you a new gimmick, after all the new people need someone to wrestle. It’s time for redemption Mikey. It’s time for Vengeance’s redemption.
Harley ends his rant and feels a small amount of relief. He stands up and sits the replica WCF United states title on the ring steps and walks towards the door of the pole building. He decided he would go inside and see what Chris was up to before he showered after working out. As he approached the door he reached down with his right hand and turned the knob to the left opening the door. He pushed the door open and closed it behind him. As he walked across the drive way he took a slow look around the Iowa country side.
The weather was still chilly and the trees still had no leaves even though most of the snow had already been melted. As he approached the front door to his house he reached down with his right hand and turned the knob the left and opened the door. He walked inside and closed the door behind him. He walked into the living room where Chris was sitting on the couch working on his laptop and listening so ESPN on TV. Chris noticed Harley walked into the living room and stopped working on his laptop and looked up to acknowledge him walking into the living room.
Chris: What’s up man? You spent a long time out there for a short small work out.
Harley nodded his head in agreement.
Harley Rhodes: Yeah I guess you can say I had to clear my mind on things. I have to get things right before Sunday. I have to win that title. I don’t have a choice.
Chris: You sound desperate when you say that. I don’t think you are desperate and it won’t be the end of the world if you don’t win. I know I have said you have to win that title but I didn’t mean that you had to as in you don’t have a choice.
Harley shook his head no as he disagreed.
Harley Rhodes: No, you don’t understand Chris. I don’t have a choice. I have to win the title this Sunday. I have to win it for Vengeance’s career, I have to win it for my parents. Especially for my father, I have to win it for everyone who has severed this country, I have to win it for this country, and I have to win it for everyone who is proud to be called American. This is real life Chris. All of this is real to me. This isn’t the fantasy world people like Mikey Extreme live in. I cannot go on with the respect that I have and let someone disrespect that title and everything that it represents.
No one understands what all this actually means to me. I don’t have a choice, I cannot lose at Timebomb. I refuse to lose and believe me when I tell you this Vengeance will kill himself trying to win that title. That is a level that Mikey Extreme is unable to reach. I’m not the bad guy in this situation, but Mikey Extreme is simple not on the level that Vengeance is. He is not willing to go above and beyond like Vengeance is. He is a disgrace to that title, and he is a disgrace to this country. Do you understand that Chris?
All of this is got me emotional. Thinking how my dad would react to see someone like Mikey Extreme carrying around the title he loved so much. Twenty long years he served to protect this very country. Fifty five years of his life he was a wrestling fan. Fifty five years he believed the United States title was the most important belt. My dad would be disappointed seeing Mikey Extreme represent this country as champion. I cannot let that continue, my mind won’t let that continue.
Chris shook his head up and down as he agreed to everything Harley Just said.
Chris: I get it, I have no doubt you will do everything you say. I knew your father for a long time, we have been friends for a long time. There is no denying how much your father loved this country. He was probably the most patriotic man in the state of Iowa, hell he may have been the most patriotic man in the country, I wouldn’t bet against it.
Just remember what I told you earlier. I know your parents were at ringside for your internet and hardcore title wins, just because you won’t physically see them there they will be watching. I know you will make you dad proud on Sunday. I know this is going to be your time. I can almost see it now your winner and new WCF United States Champion Vengeance.
Harley stared at Chris for a few seconds soaking in the sound of becoming a champion again.
Harley Rhodes: I got you man, I’m going to go take a shower I want to go visit my parents before it gets dark.
Harley left the room and walked down the hallway to the bathroom. After showering for around ten minutes he tied his long black hair into a pony tail and changing into black pants with a black tank top he painted his face. He applied the white base paint and changed the black stripes into red, white, and blue stripes. After he was finished painting his face he walked out of the bathroom to a closet that was in the hall way. He reached down with his right hand and turned the knob to the left opening the closet door. He pulled out a black trench coat and put it on and closed the closet door.
He walked down the hallway and approached the living room he looked it. This quickly got the attention of Chris who looked back as he was a little shocked to see what he saw. Chris didn’t say anything. He just nodded and went back to his computer work. Harley had become Vengeance as he quickly looked away from Chris and walked to the front door. He reached down with his right hand and turned the knob to the left opening the door. He walked through it and closed it behind him. The cemetery where his parents were buried was only a mile down the road.
Vengeance walked across the driveway to the pole building before leaving. He pushed the door open as it didn’t latch when he left earlier and walked over to the ring steps. He looked down at the replica WCF United States title and sighed. He stared at it for a few minutes before picking it up. He reached down with his right hand and picked it up. He walked to the door of the pole building pushed it open and closed it behind him.
Vengeance got into black 2014 Chevy Tahoe started it and drove a mile down the road to the cemetery. The cemetery was a small rural cemetery. There was around hundred or so people buried there with various headstones. There were around ten large trees that were still bare from winter. Vengeance parked the Tahoe on the small gravel road that went through the cemetery and got out. His parents were burred close to the gravel road and shared a headstone. The head stone read Darcy and Harley Rhodes 1958-2013. Vengeance was named after his father. Vengeance felt mixed emotions. He was sad. But he was also felt a sense of relief as he was about to talk to his parents.
Vengeance: Well I guess here I am. I finally made it back to speak with you. I will never forget the last conversation we had when you both told me how disappointed you were that I walked out on wrestling. I walked out when I was peaking in my career. I never did the only thing you wanted me to do and that’s win the United States title. And know we are days away from the Timebomb pay per view I have no doubt in my mind you would have enjoyed watching. You both won’t be there to watch me win what I should have back in 2013. I know for fact you wouldn’t approve of Mikey Extreme disrespecting this country like he does.
Things are going to change I promise you that. Mikey needs help, he is a delusional person who thinks this is Mikey’s America he couldn’t be more wrong. He pretends he knows everything about me when he actually has no clue. He has made a career trying to be Vengeance but he has failed. There is only one Vengeance and that’s me Mikey. I can no longer let you disrespect something my father loved so dearly. Let me explain a few things to you Mikey. You claim to be this dark person. You even went as far as calling yourself the King of Darkness. Then you claim I don’t know what it’s like to be dark.
Look at this headstone Mikey. Take a long hard look at it. When you lose both your parents in a single day, you couldn’t be in a darker place. This darkness is reality, this isn’t something you make up like you do. This isn’t some praying to some want to be dark lord. This isn’t your lame Hank Brown interview. This, all of this is reality. Mikey you don’t know what it is like to be in a dark place I promise you that. When you get a phone call from a local sheriff’s office telling you both you parents were killed in a car accident that is truly the darkest time anyone could live through.
That darkness has never left my mind. I remember that day. I remember it well. They were on their way to a local independent wrestling show on a Friday night. That very independent show is where I started my career before I was on TV. They were loyal fans of this business. Family came first wrestling came second in their life. You want to show the world this story of how you pray to some dark lord and request approval for some type of disciple is quite frankly bullshit. It’s simply another story of your fantasy life. The fact you have to ask for approval shows the world you aren’t the king of Darkness.
I don’t live in fantasy land Mikey. I never have and never will. This darkness that has haunted me for the past three years and will for the rest of my life is reality. You Mikey, are about to face reality. You are about to feel actual darkness. You are nothing without that title around your waist that’s reality. I have no doubt in my mind when you get destroyed by me again this Sunday for the first time in your life you will truly feel what it is like being in a dark state of mind. You haven’t felt that Mikey. I will have no regrets putting you in a dark place for the first time in your life. That’s reality.
Do you remember the last time we faced each other one on one? Just you and I none of that tag bullshit. Do you remember what you told the world in your millionth Hank Brown interview? You told the world Vengeance didn’t belong in your ring, hell you probably believe Vengeance doesn’t belong in Mikey’s America either. Funny how things worked out isn’t. I owned that ring and I owned you. I don’t want to be a part of your fantasy America Mikey. I don’t belong there, I belong in the real America not some wet dream of yours.
Vengeance raises the replica WCF Untied States title chest high as he continues to call Mikey’s fantasy bullshit.
Vengeance: Everything you said in that promo that night was compete fantasy. You claimed I lost my hardcore ways and I abandoned the darkness. That proves to everyone you really have to clue what the hell you talking about. Here in reality I live the darkness every day of my life and as for the hardcore ways, I have never turned down a hardcore match in my life. I’m actually kind of disappointed WCF management didn’t book this as a hardcore match for the United States title. It could have been billed as a money maker for them. Think about this, the king of Extreme Fantasy vs The King of Violence. Luckily for you they decided to half way protect you once again. How was that easy win for you on the road to fifteen? You got a reality check didn’t you?
I should have been in that match at fifteen. I should have been United States champion twice by now. Normally I would have an issue with that but I realize now it has worked out for the best. The time I have been waiting for this Sunday happen has got the best of my emotions. It has made me realize just how hungry I actually am Mikey. This is reality. The fantasy life you live in your head has gotten the best of you. This is reality. The fact you claimed there is no United States title picture, and no one deserves a chance at that title is more bullshit. Matter of fact I think that’s all you talk is complete bullshit.
One comment you made in the past has bothered me more than any other. You claimed to be the greatest living American. That may be true in your fantasy you call Mikey’s America, but let me tell you reality. The reality is the greatest living Americans are the ones who serve this country like my father did for twenty years. Those people deserve a champion who respects this country not one who disregards it. America needs a true hero. The real America needs a true hero, not your fantasy America.
I have tried to be a nice guy to you Mikey. I have warned you time after time. You made a choice to ignore everything that I have told you. So I’m going to be the bigger man and ask you one more time. What happens to Mikey Extreme after Timebomb? I told you what I thought would be happening to you earlier, but I want to hear the words come out of your mouth. I want you for the first time in your life to actually come out of Fantasy land and speak a little thing called reality. What happens to you after Sunday when you no longer carry that title?
What happens to Mikey Extreme when the final chapter has been written in the book of extreme? Reality tells you that final chapter is in the process if being written. You can deny it all you want, but you know deep down inside you that I’m right. This final week in February is also the final chapter that will ever be written in the book of extreme. Everything you pretend to stand for is getting taken away from you. I am the reality that is writing the final chapter of your book. I am the reality you fear. I am the reality you can’t beat.
Vengeance looks down at his parents black marble headstone. He sighs as he misses his parents more than ever. He misses the fact after Sunday he will not be able to celebrate with them. He takes the replica WCF United States title and drapes it over the headstone.
Vengeance: I’m going to leave this belt here. The next time I visit my parents Mikey I will have the actual belt in my possession. There is nothing you can do to stop what’s going to happen to you this Sunday. I am warning you ahead of time. The best thing you could do would be to walk down to the ring Sunday and just lay down. That won’t happen because you’re not a smart man are you? You’re going to make the final dumbest decision of your career and get your ass handed to you one final time.
I hope you have enjoyed writing your book Mikey. Although I highly doubt anyone will read it in the future and if they do they will be smart enough to skip to the final chapter. Unfortunately for everyone who enjoys reading and wrestling you provided the worst of both worlds. You book has been written and consist of nothing but Hank Brown Interviews, Your Fantasy America, and the fact you are a complete idiot. As for the wrestling side to that, the only reason you have been champion for as long as you have is because you have been protected.
This is no doubt the most important match of my career. Not because I’m facing you that would be what I call fantasy but my reality says this is the most important because of what it means to me. This is my one chance at redemption. This is my one chance to do something I should have done years ago. This is my one chance to prove to myself, and the world that Vengeance belongs here, Vengeance belongs in the ranks of champions. This match means so much more then you could ever imagine Mikey.
Sunday at Timebomb I’m going to welcome you in the reality that is called Vengeance. I am taking over the book of extreme and writing the final chapter. The final chapter has already been written, but I want to do a nice thing for you Mikey. I want to give you some spoiler highlights on how I wrote the final chapter in the book of extreme. This Sunday at Timebomb you will walk down that ramp and climb yourself in the ring.
When you get inside that ring is the moment when your fantasy life ends and reality takes over. You will stare into my eyes and see a man who is ready, a man who wants redemption, a man who wants to make his parents proud, a man who deserves to be called champion, and a man who will kill himself fighting you Sunday night. You can’t stop this man. You have had chance after chance and have failed each time. This man now owns the book of extreme. This man is writing the reality ending.
This man is named Vengeance. Vengeance has decided to close the book of Extreme once and for all. Mikey’s fantasy America falls to the hands of the reality called Vengeance. This Sunday at Timebomb Your fantasy America and Your book of Extreme will be read their Last Rites. Enjoy your ending Mikey, I warned you, I fucking warned you.
Vengeance looks down at his parents black marble headstone with the replica WCF United States title draped over it and smiles as he felt over whelming relief and finally felt at peace.
Vengeance: This one is for both of you, I won’t let you down.
Darkness started settling in. Vengeance left the title belt draped over the parents black marble headstone and got back in his Tahoe and left the cemetery disappearing into the night’s darkness.
