The scene fades in on a shot of Jayson Price standing in the middle of the ring inside of the WCF Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania, the WCF World Title slung over his shoulder. A spotlight comes on to illuminate a ladder that has been set up behind him.
Jayson Price: "Tonight history will be made. No, I'm not talking about Adam Young finally winning the World Title, that would a fairy tale. What I'm talking about is the fact for the first time in history the WCF World Title will be defended on WCF Wednesday Night. All the matches that have ever taken place on this show, all the People's Titles Matches, the Internet Title Matches, even a Television Title Match or two, but not once has the top prize in all of WCF ever been put on the line. And that's the kind of champion that I am. That's the kind of legacy I want to leave behind. I've spent my entire wrestling career in WCF and I've striven to be unlike any other as I do things that no one has done or will do. I brought the Clockwork Orange House Of Fun Match, one of the bloodiest and most brutal matches in all of wrestling, to WCF. I was the first person to win 7 different titles in WCF. Then it was 8 different titles. And now I sit at 9 different titles, with the next closest person sitting at 6. I've been in WCF for just over 6 years now and in that time I've amassed enough wins and overall title reigns to put me among the likes of Logan, who's been around almost twice as long as I have. Just really take a second and put that in perspective. Guys like Logan, Corey Black, Gravedigger, even Torture, guys who were around for the infancy of WCF and have stuck it out and stayed over the years, and it took me half the time to put up numbers comparable to what they've done for their entire careers. As it stands, I could retire tomorrow and the plaque baring my name would be hung in the WCF Hall Of Fame within minutes."
Price pauses as he looks down at the WCF World Title slung over his shoulder.
Jayson Price: "But no, I'm not retiring tomorrow. As sure as I am so many people would love to see me go away forever, and as tempting as it is to think of Seth Lerch having to finally admit just how good I am and how valuable I am to this company, I simply have too much left to do here. There is too much good that I can still offer WCF. What is happening here tonight in Reading is just the start of something special. I didn't have to defend the title on this show, especially not when I'm only 4 days away from having to defend it against Joey Flash at Timebomb. But I wanted to be different than all the other men that have held the World Title before me. I wanted to have a set of balls and shy away from the 'normal'. Why not shake things up just a little bit and catch people off guard? Not to mention the fact, and I'm not trying to sound like a dick here, that WCF Wednesday Night needed something to get people talking. I'm not sure why WCF's 2nd show is treated like it's a red headed stepkid, but at times it feels like people forget that it even exists. Which is a crying shame because there was a time when people were excited by just about anything with 'WCF' in the name. But I have faith that the fans will show up in force and be heard by the world. After all, these are my people. We're in Reading, Pennsylvania, just a stones throw away from my hometown of Philadelphia. This little arena may only hold a few thousand people but I guarantee it'll be louder than any arena that they put Slam in because they know they'll be seeing something special."
Holding onto the World Title with one hand, Price turns to the ladder and begins to make the climb to the top. When he gets there, he turns around and takes a seat, staring down at the camera.
Jayson Price: "So here I am, WCF World Champion Jayson Price, sitting on the very ladder that I will use to retain my World Title against Adam Young. Why Adam Young? I don't really have an explanation for that. When I came out and announced that I was going to be defending this title, I was really leaving it in the hands of Seth Lerch to make the best match possible. He could have given Joey Flash the chance to take the title from me 4 days ahead of Timebomb and then given him the PPV off to celebrate. He could have given Wade Moor his rematch. Hell he could have given Torture a shot at the belt, since we all know how much he loves to do that. But no, instead he went with Adam Young. And I'm not about to sit here and say that Adam Young isn't as good as those other guys..."
Price pauses as he rubs his hand over his beard.
Jayson Price: "What am I saying, that's exactly what I'm up here to do. Adam Young isn't as good as any of the people in WCF that could have been put against me in this historic match. There is a list a mile long of people that would have made this match and this night something to remember for the ages. But rather than give me an opponent that could challenge me and put me to the test, or give the audience a five star match that they tell their grandchildren about, Seth Lerch, in all of his wisdom, gave me Adam Young. Now while I will shit all over the career of Adam Young, it's been pretty damn terrible to say the least, I can't deny the fact that Young has stuck through all of the losses and the embarrassment like a champion. He's like the loveable loser that the fans hate to love and love to hate, although it's mostly hate because he's just that fucking bad. But the man is a veteran of this business and of this company and for that I do tip my hat to him."
Price mimes tipping a hat.
Jayson Price: "But a worthwhile challenger Adam Young is not. Being a veteran of the business that has been in every kind of match imaginable against every opponent possible doesn't mean jack shit when you can't win but a tiny handful of those matches. Yes, occassionally he pulls a rabbit out of the hat and pins someone like Corey Black, but this isn't the WAR Match. There isn't going to be 20 other guys out there beating the shit out of me before Adam Young runs down and gets a pin. This is going to be me and Adam Young battling it out to climb a ladder and retrieve the World Title. One on one, Adam Young has about as much of a chance beating me as an ant has beating an elephant in tug of war. This is straight up David versus Goliath but this time David left his slingshot at home and Goliath has a machine gun. And if this truly is the end of the road for Adam Young, if all his tweets and blog posts about leaving WCF after tonight are true, then I feel sorry that Seth Lerch decided to give him this match to end his WCF career. For some people, getting a shot at the World Title in your last match would be a dream come true. You get that opportunity to go out on top like so many wish they could. But for Adam Young his last match is going to be just another cruel reminder that no matter how hard he tried, he could never be the man. Forever looking up and wondering what could have been, Adam Young will leave WCF knowing that he simply wasn't good enough. And that's just fucking cruel of Seth Lerch to do to someone."
Price shakes his head as he stares down at the World Title.
Jayson Price: "But it's okay, because I know all too well what it feels like to be at the receiving end of Seth Lerch's treachery. While I won't particularly enjoy decimating Adam Young, knowing full well that I could have, and should have, been given a bit more of a challenge, I won't give Seth Lerch the satisfaction of watching me fail. As much as I mock Adam Young and his career, I'm not about to walk into this ring tonight taking him lightly. There will be no laughter, no smiles, no show offing, nothing but downright domination as I put Adam Young down for the last time in his WCF career and then climb the ladder to retrieve my WCF World Title. It's not personal, Adam, I wish your career didn't have to end so badly and that you could have had a chance to ride off into the sunset under better circumstances, but I'm not going to give you your moment. I know you feel like you can do it, that you can overcome the challenge and win this match, but you can't. As much as you want it, you simply aren't good enough to beat me. But I wish you the best in whatever comes next for you and, once again, I apologize for how this night is going to end for you."
