Jade Striker sits inside Thunder’s luxurious house on her laptop, sending an email to her father. Thunder’s house is very well off and the treatment Jade is getting there compared to back at Jack of Blades’ is much much * better to say the least. The email reads as follows:
From: Jade Striker
To: Skyler Striker
Father, if you ever get this, we have intel on what Danny Vice is doing. Apparently he left the arena slightly earlier than you and the Vice family has not seen him since. However, I have been able to hack into their email accounts and apparently Danny Vice is undergoing a serious change of character. He’s realising the same thing you did – that the character of “The Vagrant” is overpowering his personality. Much like the Fatebringer and Fury Crusader did for you. A word to the wise – finish your soul searching soon. Vice is going to come back a whole new person. I hope you do too. Neither of you are going to have any idea of what the other is like when you enter that ring at One.
Shortly afterwards…
At the airport in Paris, Skyler Striker is logging on to an internet café computer. Opening his email, he finds Jade’s email and reads it through. Composing one of his own, Skyler sends this back to Jade:

To: Jade Striker
Re: Change
Jade, rest assured that I already knew what Danny was doing. It’s only natural that he discover this right before One. As for me coming back, I told you – Saturday morning I will be back.
Skyler sends the email and composes another.
To: Danny Vice
From: Skyler Striker
Congratulations, Danny. My respect for you has increased tenfold. Once I find the missing ingredient, however, I will be able to say without a doubt that personality or not, cell or no cell, I will have the knowledge of how to defeat you.
Skyler sends the email and the boarding call for his plane sounds, so Skyler shuts down the internet to allow the small child behind him to play games, much to the annoyance of the next few people in line.
