The screen cuts to Benjamin Atreus sitting in his office, looking into the camera, a smile on his face.
Benjamin Atreyu: Hello fellow members of Hashtag Team WCF Galaxy. I hope you're enjoying the show. I just wanted to take some time out to give you a small presentation of what it takes to keep this great company of ours running.
The lights flicker a bit above Benjamin's head.
Benjamin Atreyu: Huh?...Well, I would like to start by saying that the behind scenes aspect is made up of a bunch of offices just like this one, filled with individuals who work hard to make sure we get a product to you each and every week in a timely fashion...
The lights flicker again and Benjamin signals to someone off camera to go deal with it.
Benjamin Atreyu: My job, as head of talent relations, is to make sure that the needs and demands of some of your favorite stars are met so they can perform at their fullest on Slam or one of our amazing Pay-Per-Views, like One which is just around the corner. Remember to...
The lights flicker again, quickly shutting off. The walls of Benjamin's office are lit up with neon paint in the style of Vengeance's face paint. Benjamin rises to his feet.
Benjamin Atreyu: Damn it! That's it! I can't this anymore. If that idiot wants to bring this to a head. I'm going to lodge a complaint so hard on his ass that he'll be neck deep in red tape and paper!
Benjamin moves past the camera and pushes the door open to leave his office. The camera quickly turns around just in time to see Benjamin get blindsided by Vengeance. The camera races out of the room to get a better view, watching as Vengeance beats down on Benjamin.
Vengeance backs up and waits for Benjamin to get to his hands and knees before delivering a well-placed kick to his ribs, sending Benjamin doubling over in pain, clutching himself. Vengeance stomps again on Benjamin, refusing to let up.
Benjamin's two body guards run in and pull Vengeance away from him, but Vengeance fights back, clocking one of them with a well places fist to the temple. Vengeance turns to the other one and gets him with a kick to the gut, following it up with a stiff elbow to the back off the head. He faces Benjamin to continue his attack, but before he can, the first body guard he sent reeling back has regained his composure and tackles Vengeance. The other body guard piles on top of him, and then grab hold of Vengeance, pulling him to his feet.
Benjamin Atreyu: I outta break your face in Vengeance.
Benjamin slowly rises to his feet.
Benjamin Atreyu: I'm so tired of this game.
Benjamin looks up at Vengeance, held back by the guards, and Benjamin takes his chances, reeling back his fist before delivering a big blow to the forehead of his attacker. Following up with another and another. Benjamin grabs one of Vengeance's arms, ordering the body guards to let go. As they do, Benjamin pulls Vengeance in and hits him with a short arm clothesline, sending him to the ground.
Benjamin Atreyu: I gave you your chance. I warned you. God knows I did, but if this is how you want things to go down, let me oblige you. Me and you. One on one at One! That's it. You get what you wanted!
Vengeance lays on the ground as Benjamin Atreus and his bodyguards walk off down the hallway of the arena. Benjamin finally snapped the one goal Vengeance had, the mind games worked once again. Vengeance slowly sits up and watches Benjamin and bodyguards walk down the hall way and turn the corner. He smiles. Deep down inside he knew he got what he wanted. But what is the actual true meaning behind this whole feud? Was Vengeance supposed to be that guy who gave Benjamin Atreus the wrestler back to the fans? Was he supposed to be that guy who finally removed Atreus from the suit and tie gimmick? Was he supposed to be the good guy or bad guy? None of it made sense, but did it really have too? Vengeance smiles and he turned his head and looked into the office of Atreus the soon to be former head of talent relations and an Idea came to him. What if Vengeance became the new head of talent relations? It will be quite clear that since Atreus is returning to the ring that he will vacate his current position and an election would have to place. Vengeance got up and walked straight to his RV and sat down on the couch. After about ten minutes or so Chris came running out and climbed inside.
Chris: Dude what the fuck was that? You were given a match at Slam, not to mention the upper mid-card against someone who is a current champion and you don’t even show up? What the hell is wrong with you? Are you trying to get yourself fired? What about all the hard work you have put in since you returned? Are you just throwing it all away now?
Vengeance starts to laugh as he looks at Chris
Chris: Ok so now you think this is all funny. You hired me to be your manger and this is how I get treated? I’m supposed to have a client who doesn’t even show up to in important match? You have been in this business longer then I have, but let’s be real. You signed a contract to perform when they book you in a match, I know this is not the first time you haven’t shown up for a match.
Vengeance gives a confused look
Chris: Yeah I know all about most of your career in WCF including the stuff I couldn’t watch on TV. I have done my job and researched your whole WCF career. I am actually shocked you still have a job here. Don’t you ever wonder why you never get title shots anymore? Even if Benjamin Atreus didn’t interfere a few weeks ago do you actually think this company was going to let you be its people’s champion? You know honestly it is kind of sad. How does one go from being a former dual title holder two years ago to being a match filler for the people’s title? I feel sorry for you Vengeance.
Vengeance smiles at Chris once again.
Vengeance: Are you done yet? Maybe you could let me respond? First off I never disappeared…
Chris interrupts
Chris: Are you kidding me it happened live on air. Your facing I think it was like Kyle Kemp or something and then you lost again the lights went out some strange clown appeared and you were gone. Then you didn’t show your face for weeks.
Vengeance: Was I gone? You need to understand there are things about me no one understands. Not you, not the fans, hell not even God himself understands. Every man has his secrets, and I just hide mine better. So when you say I disappeared can you actually prove that it happened? No. Can you actually prove I wasn’t on TV? No, lots of people wear facemask and or paint in this world of wrestling. People don’t need to know everything and they sure in the hell don’t need to understand everything about me. If someone “doesn’t understand Vengeance” then I’m doing my job. If you really did your research you would understand two years ago I was in a different place. I was in a dark state of mind and I rebelled against WCF and won. I burnt down things, I was extremely violent, I hurt a lot of people most who don’t even work here anymore. I guess you could say I was aggressive in what I wanted.
Chris shakes his head
Chris: Tell me where all that passion went? We need to find it again.
Vengeance takes a deep breath and sighs
Vengeance: Maybe it’s time that I take a different role. Maybe 2016 should be the year Vengeance becomes the new head of talent and relations. Maybe, just maybe I’m going to be that guy who sparks a great come back from Benjamin Atreus. Maybe it’s time I gave back to the business who has given me so much throughout my career. Maybe that is supposed to be the moral of this story. Maybe it’s my turn to help someone make a comeback. In 2012 when I signed my WCF contract it had been four long years of not wrestling. I have been thankful every day that someone introduced me to this company. Maybe the fire has burnt out maybe my final wave is coming to shore.
Chris starts banging his head against the wall. Thump….Thump….Thump….. One finally thump Chris leaves his head against the wall as he starts speaking.
Chris: Is this prank? I’m getting punked right? I don’t think anyone could image you coming to work every day in a suit and tie. I thought I should feel sorry for you but maybe, just maybe I really should feel sorry for you. I get that you have been in the business for a while but you’re not some old veteran. The fact that you can even say the fire has burnt out and your final wave is coming to shore is nothing more than a load of complete bullshit. I think there is so much more going on that you’re unwilling to tell everyone. Every story has an ending. This upcoming match between you and Atreus is happening for a reason. You attacked him for a reason. I just don’t get why you won’t tell me or anyone else for that matter. Did you forget that part of this business is about entertainment?
Chris pulls his head away from the wall and looks back towards Vengeance.
Chris: Do you want to know what I really think? What I really think is actually happening between you and Atreyu?
Vengeance doesn’t say a word, as he stares at Chris.
Chris: I think deep down inside you’re a jealous man. I think you finally realize that this company really doesn’t care about you anymore. You’re jealous that you don’t get the attention you once had when you first started. The world of WCF doesn’t talk about Vengeance anymore. But did they ever? Let’s retrace some history shall we? When you first started things where much like they are now. No one gave a damn about Vengeance, no one paid any type of attention to you, hell you ate up the lower card every week. You piled win after win, had a nice little undefeated streak, and still no one paid any attention to you. You stayed the course. Then finally one day something changed didn’t? You got this idea that you were being looked over on purpose. I remember fondly you claiming that the same people got title shots after title shots, which maybe have been true. But then you convinced a few other people like John Gable, Morientes, Terry Roberts, The Ninja, and Blizzard, that they two were being looked over. For some odd reason they all bit into what you were saying and Rebellion was formed. There is no denying that was probably a smart move on your part because it worked. You took heels and faces and combined them into one group and it worked. Most of you won titles after you decided to “Rebel” against WCF management. Most of them went on to have nice little successful title runs except for you. Obviously you had some strange melt down and gave up the things that you wanted in the first place and did what you seem to do a lot and disappeared.
So now you attack someone who’s apart of the management team? It really seems to me like your trying to live in the past. Trying to once again be that rebellion guy. The same thing is happening all over again isn’t. The same people getting title shot after title shot. You’re getting over looked once again. Hell you even took down a couple top names and what did it get you? Nothing and you are finally starting to realize it. Sure you got a people’s title shot, but really did anyone honestly think you had a legit shot at winning. It’s pretty obvious you were used as a match filler to get you on the card. This is all the same shit that happened to you before. Except this time is different isn’t. No one will listen to you, there’s no Rebellion to back you up, and all your friends are gone. So now you are on your own and you attack the head of talent relations to get noticed. But again things are going to be different. It’s not like you attacked some ref no, you attacked a former champion. You could easily get your ass beat and it wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. But then again that would make sense for this story to entertain the fans right? You attack management blah blah he fights you at the biggest Pay per view of the year blah blah he gets his revenge blah blah everyone goes home happy. Maybe you need to get your ass beat. Just maybe you need your ass beat to light a fire under you. This bullshit saying that you are going to run or apply to be head of talent relations is a fucking a joke. I should slap the shit out of you for even saying that bullshit.
Chris glares at Vengeance as Vengeance smiles back
Chris: Seriously? After all that I just said about you that’s all you are going to do is sit there and smile at me? What will it take to make you actually care? Tell me! This is the biggest pay per view of the year and I just talked shit directly to your face and you just sit there and smile at me? What the hell is wrong with you? I liked watching you on TV and I tuned every week because we are friends and that’s what friends do. But now this is business. I have a job to do and so do you. If you continue to act like this you are going to be a nobody and be in the same boat as Adam Young is and lose every week. For fuck sake you have already been through that this year. Don’t you remember when you first came back you didn’t give a shit and you lost every week and you actually looked worse than Adam Young which is damn near impossible, but you did it. You know maybe that night when you got beat by Kyle Kemp when you disappeared and Riddlebox appeared maybe you should have stay……
Vengeance interrupts in a deep voice
Vengeance: Don’t you dare talk about Riddlebox.
Chris: Oh give me a fucking break dude who gives a fuck about that stupid clown….
Vengeance stands up
Vengeance: I said don’t talk about Riddlebox
Chris gives Vengeance a confused look not understanding why he would care about Riddlebox
Chris: You can’t be serious. The one thing that is actually going to piss you off over all the stuff I have said to you tonight is Riddlebox? Do you have some love for clowns or what? I mean really you have nothing to do with that stupid fucking clown seriously who gives a fuck. He is not the focus of this you need to keep your attention on Benjamin Atreus forget this dumb fucking clown for fuck sake.
Vengeance grabs Chris by the throat and slams him against the wall and starts speaking in a soft deep voice.
Vengeance: How many times do I need to repeat myself? I told you over and over again not to talk about Riddlbox. Why is that so hard to understand? You’re my agent, I’m your boss. I highly suggest you listen to what I say!
Vengeance tightens his grip around Chris neck and smiles as starts to speak in a whisper.
Vengeance: It’s funny to me. Everything you just said. Do you really think I am blind to everything that is taking place? This business is all about making statements just like any other job in the world rather it be a business man, a store clerk, even a simple clown. You always need to make statements to get noticed. I know how this business works I have been doing this a long time. There is a lot of things you don’t know about Chris, there is a lot of things these people don’t know about me, and there is a lot of things even the guys in the locker room don’t know about me. What I do, how I do it, or what I have done is no one’s business, not even yours. Do you understand what I’m telling you Chris? It is not my job to make sure everyone in the world completely understands the man behind all the face paint. It’s not my job to please everyone that tunes in every week to watch the WCF. It’s not my job to be that guy who smiles and plays nice with every single person. It’s not my job to make people happy, or to make them laugh, or to make them even like me. People like me because I’m different. I don’t go out and play good guy vs bad guy and be your stereotypical wrestler. I don’t buy into any of that crap. As for you claim of me attacking Benjamin Atreus to make a statement because I’m getting looked over? Do you think that is or is the only reason why I did such a thing? Maybe it’s because I don’t like him and the bullshit that comes out of his mouth trying to make everything believe he is here to help them being Head of talent relations. Maybe it’s because I have a problem with authority. Maybe it’s because when I first signed a contract here people like him looked down upon people like me. Or maybe just maybe I attacked him just because I wanted too. Does there have to be any real reason why I do what I do? Does the story have to make sense? I will give you credit when its due in a perfect stereotypical wrestling world of good guy vs bad guy, I attacked you then you attacked me so let’s fight, or you hurt my family so I’m going to hurt yours lets fight, good ole Benny should beat me at One. But I’ll be a little honest with you while I have you nice and close to me. I really don’t care how this story ends. If I get my ass beat at one then I deserve it, if I win at One it will just be another big name picked off by yours truly. Now why don’t you do your job and drive this damn RV out of this town.
Vengeance lets go of Chris throat as he rubs it and takes a deep breath and clears his throat
Chris: Well in a way it was kind of nice seeing that come out of you. I wouldn’t say you should to that do the guy who is your agent but hey whatever works. Listen I actually hired someone to drive the RV tonight. I have a ton of paper work to do and he should be here shortly his name is Frank. I think you need to go cool off and sleep or having a drink you’re acting strange anyways.
Vengeance decided to walk to the back bedroom and sit on the bed. Few minutes later there was a knock at the door and it was Frank the driver Chris hired. Chris answered the door and they both shook hands and he invited Frank inside. Franks starts talking in a southern accent.
Frank: Wow I must say Chris you have once fancy RV. This is probably the most fancy RV I have even been in what did this set you back?
Chris: It didn’t set me back anything I don’t own it.
Frank: Is that so? Huh well who owns this? Is it one of those WCF champions man they sure pay them well?
Chris: Ehhh you could say he is a former champion.
Frank: You know who I really enjoyed watching, I really wish he was still around was that Riddlebox clown fella. Man he was creepy, funny, he just had it all I tell……
Just then Vengeance comes bursting through the bedroom door towards Frank and gets in his face and speaks in a loud voice
Vengeance: I thought I said no one talks about Riddlebox!
Chris steps between them
Chris: He wasn’t there for that conversation, please just go back to the bedroom and go to sleep.
Vengeance slowly backs away staring at Frank and walks back into the bedroom and slams the door.
Frank: Holy shit who was that where did you come from. I about shit my britches.
Chris: You don’t recognize who that was?
Frank: No sir I do not.
Chris pulls out a picture of Vengeance with his face paint on standing in a WCF ring
Frank: Wow that’s Vengeance. I remember a few years ago man he was a scary scary fella. Remember when he set that funeral home on fire down in Alabama. That was some crazy shit if I do say so myself. What about when him and Terry Roberts battled man that was some crazy shit I wished I could see that again.
Chris: Yeah don’t we all. Listen man here is driving instructions on places we need to go before we head out to Los Angeles.
Frank looks down at the paper and reads over it
Frank: Why do we need to go St Paul Minnesota for? That will be way out of the way.
Chris: Let me explain something to you. The biggest pay per view show of the year is coming up shortly and that man that is back in that bedroom needs to keep doing what he has been doing all night and that is snapping. He needs to bring that aggressive violent side out. St Paul Minnesota is the hometown of Benjamin Atreus the head of talent relations and the man that will face Vengeance at One. To be honest with you Frank I don’t believe Vengeance is facing the head of talent relations at one. I believe he is facing the former champion, the former multiple of the week award winner Benjamin Atreus. If you would ask me do I think Benjamin could beat Vengeance I would tell you yes I do. But I also believe Vengeance can beat him as well. I will tell you for a fact if I don’t keep the fire burning in him he won’t stand a chance at the pay per view. Congratulations Frank not only are you the new full time driver but you are also going to be my assistant. Let me also explain to you how this works. The more money that man makes the more money we make. The more successful he is the more task we have to do.
Frank: Does that mean we have to see more of what just happened a few minutes ago?
Chris sighs
Chris: As much as I like having fun with him I feel he needs to be that mindset. He needs to be on edge and ready to snap at a moment’s notice. Normally I would be like nah he’s good but I’m going to feel like a broken record here this is the biggest pay per view of the year. He needs to be to keep that violent working for him. Between his attacks and mind games it finally worked. It was like the old Vengeance once again. It was like the Vengeance you wanted to see. Now I need to get some paper work done. So why don’t you get us on the road the keys are on the table.
Frank grabs the keys and sits in the driver’s seat starting the RV. Chris sits down at the table and pulls his laptop out of his bag and sits in on the table while turning it on it. Frank already sleep during the day so he was well prepared to drive through the night. Vengeance stayed in the bedroom and went to sleep. Chris decided to do some research on Benjamin Atreyu since there wasn’t a lot known about him since he quit being an active competitor. Vengeance stayed in the back bedroom during the trip to St. Paul and no one heard a word out of him. After hours of driving and sleeping Frank finally pulls in the RV into St. Paul and parks in a parking lot of a local Wal-Mart. The store was busy, more so then usual as Christmas wasn’t that far away. Vengeance woke up and looked out the window for a few minutes watch the shoppers come and go. The parking lot seemed to get fuller as the time went by as temperatures were above normal for this time a year. Just before Vengeance decided to stand up and walk out of the bedroom he noticed two young boys walking with their parents carrying replica title belts which made him smile. Vengeance looks away from the window as he stands up and walks towards the bedroom door. He can hear giggling out in the living room area where Frank and Chris seem to be having a good time. Vengeance takes a deep breath as he slowly turns the knob to the left pulling up the door and walking out to the living room. He first looks at Frank then at Chris as he sits on the couch. Both Frank and Chris stop talking and look back at Vengeance. An awkward moment of silence was had before Chris decides to speak.
Chris: Hey man how are you doing today?
Vengeance: I’m doing great like always.
Chris: So about last night, I like that aggressive anger side of you but are you sure you’re ok? I don’t think we need to repeat what happened last night.
Vengeance: What are you talking about? We had a little conversation and I went to bed. If you think me talking about becoming the new head of talent relations is a form of aggressive anger, I think you need to reevaluate. I don’t think there is anything wrong with getting a desk job. You can’t wrestle forever.
Vengeance smiles and shakes his head as if he thought Chris was joking around about being aggressive and having anger the night before.
Chris: Are you serious right now? You had your hands around my throat and you got in poor Frank’s face. It was his first day on the job.
Vengeance gave a confused look.
Vengeance: I don’t know what you’re talking about. I would never do such a thing. You should know better than I am not like that anymore. I mean is till dress the part but I’m not that same person I used to be. People get older and change.
You can visually see frustration poor over Chris’s face
Chris: What the hell dude seriously. Are you suffering from Memory loss? Really you freaked out last night and you freaked out over some clown who was only in WCF for a few weeks he had like what two matches. Why the fuck would you care about Riddlebox for?
Vengeance: I don’t care about Riddlebox why would should I? I’m not facing him at one there is no reason that name should even be brought up. You make completely no sense right now. Are you sure you’re ok? Have you been drinking? Are you on drugs? This all should be common sense to everyone that my focus is on Benjamin Atreyu and no one else. You need to get your head on straight. I’m going to go take a shower and change clothes when I come back be fucking normal!
Vengeance stands up off the couch and heads to the bathroom to take a shower. You can see Frank still has no clue what’s going on just as he did when Vengeance got in his face.
Frank: Can you please tell me what’s going on?
Chris: I wish I knew Frank I really do. Honestly now that I think about it a little bit over the past few weeks that I have been around Vengeance I have noticed more and more of this split personality. I knew he had some of it in the past and it got bad but I thought that was all gone now.
Frank: So you are telling me this man that I’m working for has spilt personalities?
Chris: I don’t know for certain Frank. He and I go way back we have always been good friends. But I think there are things that I don’t know about his past. I feel like there is something more to him that no one knows about or they won’t come forward and tell. I do know he doesn’t like everyone to know everything about him and who could blame him I don’t think anyone really does. Whatever happens between now and the 27th we will just have to deal with. I don’t want to be blamed for throwing him off his game before One and I would advise you to do the same. I’m going to have to do some more digging and see if I can figure a little bit more about his past because this whole freak out over some down clown is really weird.
Frank sighs
Frank: Would it be possible that he might be afraid of clowns? There is a lot of people who fear them it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Hollywood did make some scary clowns.
Chris strokes his chin with his fingers
Chris: No I don’t think that’s it. He doesn’t act like he fears them. Maybe he had a bad…..
Vengeance walks out of the bathroom in a robe and looks at Chris then Frank then walks into the bed room.
Frank: This is starting to freak me out. Did you see the look on his face? It was like nothing was there. I don’t know if I can do this Job anymore.
Chris shakes his head
Chris: You will be fine trust me. Like I said there is something going on and I plan on figuring it out it just might take a while. But hey why don’t we watch some TV and relax for a while. We still have a long road out to L.A.
Frank agrees and Chris turns on the TV. The two enjoyed watching step brothers on HBO then followed by Super Troopers on the same channel. Chris finally noticed it was starting to get dark outside and they have not seen Vengeance for a couple hours after he finished his shower. Chris decided he should go and check on Vengeance to make sure he was ok. Chris got up and walked to the bedroom and listened and all he heard was silence. He decided to softly knock on the door and was greeted with no answer. He knocked a little louder and then the door flung open with Vengeance standing in the door way,
Vengeance: What’s up man?
Chris: Are you ok? You have been in there for hours. We are out here watching some comedy movies would you care to join us?
Vengeance: Nah I’m good. I’m actually going to go for a walk since it’s nice outside, got to stay in shape right?
Chris: I don’t think walking is going to help you stay in wrestling shape but hey why not. Care if we tag along?
Vengeance: I’m going to go by myself, I won’t be gone long and maybe we can watch a movie or something when I get back.
Chris knew something was going on by the way vengeance was acting. He had been silent all day long and now he wants to go for a walk and watch a movie when he comes back? Chris didn’t question it as he said earlier he didn’t want be blamed for throwing Vengeance off his game. Chris walks back out to the living room followed by Vengeance. They both look at each other as Chris sits down on the couch and Vengeance opens the door and climbs out of the RV. As he looks around the parking lot of Wal-Mart it was still fairly full of cars. Families walking in and out buying last minute gifts for friends and loved ones. Vengeance turns around and notices a sidewalk that leads into a park full of trees. He slowly walks towards the park when he arrives at the entrance he notices a fountain in the middle of the park with benches around it. He decides to walk towards the fountain and sits on the bench. He takes a deep breath in as he stares at the fountain he begins to softly speak to himself.
Vengeance: Benjamin Atreyu The first and only Head of talent relations. You know ever since you decided to make your return not as a former wrestling champion but as WCF management employee I wondered was that going to be the future for me? After all back in 2012 when I first arrived you were still wrestling. You really didn’t stay out of the business too long did you? There is nothing wrong with that this is a very tuff business to walk away from. We all see former wrestling stars now wearing suits and working the back stage area. People retire for different reasons. Be it injuries, family, or even burn out. I have been down that road several times in my career. I cannot blame you for wanting to take that position after all a man has to provide for his family I get it.
The more and more I think about what happened over the past few weeks I couldn’t come up with a clear answer on why I even attacked you in the first place. You and I never crossed paths back when you still where an active wrestler or even in your current position. There was no problems between you and I. Maybe just maybe the reason I attacked you in the first place was because I never got a chance to face you a few years ago. You were the big name star I was the incoming rookie that no one paid any attention too. As I get older I seem to have this growing problem that I dislike being ignored. Funny how people change when they age isn’t?
Vengeance smiles as he starts rocking back and forth
Vengeance: It’s really funny isn’t Benny? All the things that I have done since being employed by WCF and people still ignore me. Why does your talent not pay attention to me? This Roster has had a lot of turn over since 2012 and I am now considered a veteran but still they ignore me. I have cemented my name in history by winning gold twice, yet your talent roster ignores me. What does it take to get noticed these days Benny? Do you remember what it took last time? It took a group of talented people to make a statement to get noticed, and now they are all gone and it is just me. So now my sweet dear Benny it comes down to you doesn’t? But this just isn’t going to work and it’s been making me feel a little on edge, maybe you could say my crazy side is coming out right? Everyone has a crazy side. Its funny isn’t If I happen to beat you at One it won’t be a big deal after all I would just beat someone who isn’t active but if you happen to beat me that would sling shot your active wrestling career once again leaving me made into a footnote. It’s not going to happen Benjamin not this time, I won’t be left behind again do you fucking hear me?
Vengeance starts visibly shaking
Vengeance: Tell me something Benjamin. How does it feel when someone finally gets inside your head enough that you cannot take it anymore? Do tell me what was the final breaking point for you? Was it the physical attacks? Was it the mind games? Did you really think you were going to hurt me by forcing me to lose a shot at winning the people’s title? It actually felt good when you forced pain upon me.
Vengeance stands up and walks passed the fountain and finds a cemetery. He smiles and slowly makes his way towards the cemetery. The sun is nearly setting by this time but some light remains. As Vengeance walks through the cemetery looking at the beautiful headstones one caught his eye as he was walking by as he thought the name read Atreyu. He stopped and turned to his left and the head stone read Patricia Atreyu, November 25th 1955 – January 1st 2014. Loving wife, caring mother, and helpful friend. Vengeance kneels down and runs his fingers over the head stone.
Vengeance: Look what we have here Benjamin. Beautiful head stone I must say. Do you remember when you made this all public? Remember your stuttering mess? Man your family is fucked up isn’t. People refuse to visit others. Did you and your cousin’s get into some kind of argument because you felt people didn’t visit you poor mother enough after your father died? Where is your mother now Benjamin? Does she need someone to keep her company? What about good ole Charles? Uncle to well renowned performer and athlete, Benjamin Atreyu that is sorry. Maybe after this pay per view we can become friends and I could meet all these lovely people you call family!
Vengeance sits down and uses Patricia Atreyu’s head stone and a backrest. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out multiple colors of face paint white, black, blue, red, and orange. He dumps a little paint of each color into his and slowly smears it all over his face mixing the colors together. He laughs and he starts speaking in an extremely loud voice.
Vengeance: Benjamin where are you? Hello Benjamin can you hear me? Why don’t you come visit your family we are all waiting for you. Your aunt is laying here next to your brother wishing she could see you. Why won’t you come see her Benjamin? I know you both have a lot to talk about. Benjamin I’m calling your name why are you ignoring me? Let me ask you something Benjamin.
Vengeance clams his voice
Vengeance: Let me ask you something Benjamin. When I first attacked why did you let it slide so long before you fought back? Where you actually trying to be a complete professional or is it deep down inside you actually fear people like me? Do you think after this pay per view this story will finally have its end? Is that what you are hoping for Benjamin? What if I’m not ready for this to end? Do you want to know what the messed up thing is about that? I kind of hope you actually beat me so this story doesn’t have to end. BEAT ME BENJAMIN BEAT ME!
Vengeance stands up and once again looks at the head stone that reads Patricia Atreyu, November 25th 1955 – January 1st 2014. Loving wife, caring mother, and helpful friend and an idea pops into his head. Vengeance once again pulls his face paint of his pocket and paints the style of his face paint over the head stone. He then reaches inside his pocket and pulls out a piece of paper towel and wipes the paint off his face dropping the towel to the ground as he walks off and returns back to the RV. He opens the RV door inside and Sits down on a chair.
Vengeance: What’s up?
Chris: Where the hell have you been we need to get on the road.
Vengeance: Well I guess you could say I had to take care of business let’s leave it at that.
Chris: Well whatever we need to get out to L.A. we have things we need to do.
Over the next few days they drove from St. Paul to L.A. Everything seemed like it was back to normal and everyone enjoyed good conversation and fun times during the long road trip. When they arrived in L.A. Vengeances RV was recognized by an unknown car which followed them around as they did some site seeing. Chris noticed the car following them but didn’t say anything. After about an hour of sightseeing they pulled into the back parking lot at Staples Center and the car followed. Security was extra tight because of the recent happenings in the world and the car that was following obviously was allowed in. Frank found a parking spot and parked the RV. The car parked in a parking space across of the RV. A few mins went by and there was a knock at the door. Chris looked out the window and there was a middle aged man standing at the door so he decided to answer it.
Chris: Can I help you?
Man: My name is James with TMZ could I get a quick interview with Vengeance?
Chris: Umm let me ask him if he is willing to do it. Wait here
The man stood by the door as Chris went into the back bedroom to talk to Vengeance
Chris: Hey man there is a guy from TMZ wondering if you are willing to do an interview.
Vengeance: Sure why not.
Vengeance walked out of the back bedroom and stepped outside to speak with James and Chris followed.
Vengeance: What’s up?
James; Hello Mr. Vengeance my name is James I’m a sports writer for TMZ would it be ok if I asked you a few questions about the upcoming pay per view this week?
Vengeance: Sure why not.
James: This Sunday you go one on one with Benjamin Atreyu. He hasn’t not been competing inside a WCF ring for quite some time. What are your thoughts on that?
Vengeance looked into the eyes of TMZ reporter James. He knew he had to keep it professional.
Vengeance: Yeah he hasn’t been inside the ring for a while and there is no doubt there will be some ring rust. But when it comes down to it he is a former champion and once that bell rings I’m sure it won’t matter if he has been gone for a week or ten years it’s just like riding a bike.
James: So what is the real reason you attacked him in the first place?
Vengeance: I don’t think I need a reason to attack anyone. If I feel the need to get someone’s attention because I want it sometimes attacking is the way to go.
James: When you returned this year you went on a losing streak. Was that because of the ring rust that you mentioned earlier or is it because you’re not up to pair with the new blood that has come in? And secondly what changed when you decided to leave and come back again?
Vengeance was starting to get frustrated with these questions. He had a feeling they were just going to worse.
Vengeance: I guess you could call it ring rust. And as for what changed? Nothing changed sometimes it takes a little while to get back into the swing of things.
James: Is it true you used to work for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus?
Vengeance’s eyes lit up as he started to reach for James Chris quickly got in the middle of them.
Chris; There will be no more questions. James you need to leave. Vengeance please let’s get back into the RV.
James: It was just a simple question….
Chris: Leave now!
James finally listens and walks away from the RV. Chris finally gets Vengeance to go back inside.
Frank: Holy shit I thought I was going to see some good ole street violence.
Chris: That won’t be happening Frank.
Vengeance: I should have killed that mother fucker. He is lucky we are where we are. Why the fuck is he asking me if I worked for the fucking Circus for? Where the hell did he get that kind of information from? It is this kind of shit that forces me to become violent. Where the fuck is Benjamin Atreyu I could rip his head off right now.
Frank. Mr. Vengeance I would love to see some violence. I was telling Chris a few days ago that time you took out Terry Roberts as probably my favorite Vengeance moment.
Vengeance: Oh yeah? Would you like to see that again? I would love to see some fucking violence myself since I cannot act upon it. Maybe Benjamin should watch this too.
Vengeance pulls a DVD out of the cabinet and places it in to the DVD player
Zach Davis: We're back from commercial...
Shannan Lerch: And things are tense. Vengeance and Terry Roberts are in the ring here...
Vengeance starts staring at Terry Roberts. Both mens bodies tense up, preparing to strike out against each other again.
Zach Davis: Oh no, look at their eyes, here we go.
Shannan Lerch: What’s next last week Terry Roberts spit green mist in Vengeance’s face then attempted to use a fire ball but instead burnt himself. Someone needs to stop this.
Terry makes the first move, nailing Vengeance with several hard rights and left, then floors Vengeance with a clothesline, Vengeance hits the mad hard, but slides outside of the ring to regroup. However, Terry Roberts leaves Vengeance no time to catch his breath, following him out and turning him around, Throwing Vengeance into the steel steps! Vengeance flips over the top step and falls back-first on the concrete, rubbing his back for a bit before crawling to the apron to get help in standing up again. Terry heads towards Vengeance to continue his attack, and leans him up against the barricade, setting up for something. Terry goes to the apron and climbs up to the top of the ringpost, motivated by the cheers of the audience.
Zach Davis: Is he freaking Crazy?
Shannan gives out a loud yelp almost simultaneously as Terry leaps up in the air, but Vengeance catches him midair slamming him to the ground.
Zach Davis: My god look at the strength of Vengeance displayed there! Terry tried to lay Vengeance out but got caught.
the cameras pan in close, as Vengeance begins yelling at Terry, who lays sprawled out on the arena floor.
Vengeance: Come on Synn quit hiding.
Vengeance searches under the ring and finds a table and a chair. Vengeance sets up the table near the ring. Vengeance walks over to Terry and hits him in the back with the chair. Terry Grabs his back in pain. Vengeance throws the chair into the ring, then grabs Terry throwing him back into the ring. Vengeance stomps Terry in the head a couple of times before dragging him to the apron, picking him up and leaning him against the ropes. Vengeance then knocks on the head of Terry
Vengeance: Hello Synn, Hellllloooo Synn are you there?
Zach Davis: How much more can Terry take? He's almost out of it here!
Shannan Lerch: It seems Vengeance is trying to motivate Terry, but in a very fucked up way!
Vengeance picks up the chair striking Terry across the head as Terry falls back landing through the table.
Crowd: HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT
Shannan Lerch: Someone needs to stop this!
Vengeance stares at Terry for a few minutes as he climbs outside of the ring picking up Terry by the hair leading him to the entrance ramp, one there Terry pops back to live, as Vengeance attempts to strike Terry with a hard punch, Terry counters with punches to the stomach Vengeance lets go of Terry’s Hair. Terry kicks Vengeance in the stomach and hits a suplex on the entrance ramp.
Zach Davis: The match is over, but they are not!
Shannan Lerch: Terry getting a second wind, this is insanity, what the hell are they doing?
Terry, showing great resolve, manages to get up quickly walking over to the guard rail separating the fans from the aisle, he quickly grabs a steel folding chair from one of the fans before walking back over to Vengeance, who slowly gets back to his feet, Terry hits Vengeance across the head with such velocity, Vengeance falls straight back, busted open.
Zach Davis: Nothing but pure hatred with that swing, Vengeance is pouring blood that chair shot opened him up.
Shannan Lerch: My God Zach, someone needs stop this before they kill each other.
Vengeance lays on the entrance, seemingly lifeless. It’s clear that the chair shot took its toll on him, Terry picks up Vengeance by the hair nearly dragging him up the entrance ramp towards the back, the cameras try to keep up with the two as they pass through the curtains, Terry leads Vengeance towards to the concession stands, production is able to coordinate their efforts. camera men catch up to the two wrestlers as the fans watch the ongoing action intently on the jumbo tron.
Zach Davis: Terry is having his way with Vengeance.
Shannan Lerch: Where are they going, is Terry thirsty?
As Terry gets Vengeance to the popcorn, hot dogs, drinks stand Vengeance manages to punch Terry in the face making Terry let go of Vengeance’s hair. Vengeance throws left and rights striking Terry’s stomach and head as he slowly starts to once again get the upper hand against Terry. Vengeance throws Terry over the counter landing him on the floor. Vengeance climbs the counter once again picking Terry up by the hair.
Vengeance: Come on Synn, are you in there? Are you ready to come out yet?
Vengeance kicks Terry in the stomach setting and hits the “Last Rights” jack knife power bomb sending Terry through the popcorn machine breaking the glass and sending hot oil everywhere.
Crowed HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT
Zach Davis: Holy Shit.
Shannan Lerch: Vengeance just killed Terry.
As fans scream in shock and terror, security finally arrives, pulling Vengeance away from Terry, the others start tending to an unconscious Terry, as streams of blood begin to seep across the floor from his back, they start yelling for a medics team.
Shannan Lerch: .....
Zach Davis: Oh my god, CUT, we need to cut to commercial NOW.
Blizzard is seen walking towards Vengeance and Terry Roberts as the camera cuts to commercial.
