Boulder City, NV - Authorities are searching for a WCF wrestler after the forceful removal of a young, comatose woman from St. Alderman’s hospital just after midnight on Christmas morning.
Dune, the former WCF World Champion, stands as the accused in what’s been described by authorities as a “smash and grab breakout operation.” The young woman, whose only legal name we could obtain was Pinky, had been receiving medical treatment at the world-renowned St. Alderman’s hospital since the end of September. Dune had since been the sole benefactor for Pinky, who doctors say was unlikely to awaken from her comatose state.
Security footage shows Dune approaching the front gates just before the stroke of midnight, where he proceeded to assault two security guards in their small hub. According the hospital director, the staffing was light what with it being the night before Christmas, and Dune made his way up to Pinky’s room virtually unassailed. From there he abducted her, along with the machine keeping her alive. It was in the lobby where the hospital director and two more guards encountered him.
“He had a crowbar,” says hospital director Tim Wilson, “and a generator he was running her life support machine through. He was too powerful. We simply couldn’t stop him. He left the guards in a heap before attacking me as I pleaded with him to see reason. His only response was something about sending a check to cover the damages...and I can tell you, it’ll take a lot more than a brute like him earns to make me forget this Christmas morning.”
Authorities have begun their search for Dune.
This news comes just two days before what’s been described as the biggest fight of Dune’s WCF career thus far. He’s set to square off against Joseph Malignaggi - the wrestler formerly known as Joey Flash - one-on-one for the second time at One this Sunday, December 27. Their first match, of course, saw Malignaggi prevail over Dune at WAR this past October when the WCF World Title was on the line. The two have had an intensely bitter rivalry since the spring, and one can only wonder if the events at St. Alderman’s early Christmas morning have anything to do with their very personal conflict.
