Gimnasio del Sol to Hold Charity Luncheon

El Gimnasio del Sol recently announced that they would be funding a series of luncheons throughout Northern Mexico towns in need of aid. Little has been heard from El Gimnasio since the People's Choice formation, as the group has been hounded by press. Gym founder and WCF People's Champion Teo del Sol met with WCF.com to explain his motivation for the charity.

"I've just been so caught up with everything that's happened these past few weeks, with Kyle Kemp doing everything in his power to drive me up a wall, it's almost made me forget just why I get to have this belt in the first place. Being People's Champion means being there for the people who need help, the people who were there for me when I needed help, especially around this time of year." 

When questioned about his plans for the People's Championship, Teo del Sol offered the following response:

"I welcome any challenger that the WCF puts in front of me. I did not win this title to hoard it jealously like the previous champion. I call it the People's Division for a reason, anyone who wants to challenge for this belt has to understand that they are putting their 100% into it. If anyone in that locker room wants to challenge me, I want to make it clear that I don't want to win more titles, as far as I am concerned, this belt is the top of the mountain, this belt is the voice of the people, and to me, having that's worth more than any prize in WCF. If you don't want to be part of the People's Division, then you aren't in this for the right reasons."

Are you saying that people should be treating these belts as baubles, sir? Did you defend that world title because it meant that your name would get to be on the poster one more time? 

Wade we disagree on alot of things, hat choice for example, but surely you must understand that any champion who does not dedicate himself fully to his belt does not deserve to have it. 

I am dedicated to this People's title, this People's division 100%, it is no stepping stone, no checkmark on an imaginary list, this is the brass ring! So long as I have this belt, I will defend it with the honor that it deserves!

You want so bad to find out that I am in this for myself, that it's all been a lie- that I benefitted by letting David Sanchez knock my teeth out, letting Joey Flash concuss my skull, that it's all some kind of master plan.

And as for you questioning my statement that people who don't want the belt are in it for the wrong reasons? That's no statement of arrogance, no dismissal of the abilities of this fantastic roster- it's a call to action! I have the privilege of holding the People's title, and it is just that, a privelege. I have no reservations, no grand scheme to trick people into cheering, I give people what they deserve. These people deserve someone who will be there when they need someone to fight for them. Someone who will win for them, and someone who will lose for them.

I consider it an honor to be both.

I want to build a people's division, I want people who feel the way I do about this title to make themselves known! Because I can't do it alone.
