Okay people, I tend to ask this (usually after knowing someone longer than five minutes) to people I meet but...
Do you ever get strange little tingles in your head when you hear someone talking or certain noises? (No not your cock, ya actual head)
The response to that is often 'What the fuck, get away from me you odd cunt' or 'You fuckin sexual deviant, what's wrong with you?'
It's not a sexual thing, it's just a nice tingly relaxing feeling, in my journey to find fellow people with this joyous thing I found a whole fuckin internet community about this shit, it's called Autonomous sensory meridian response or ASMR.
It tends to come from weird things, certain accents like Indians and Russians and shit. Like if I'm talking to an Indian accent customer service guy, I actively let him blather on for a while just to get tingles from his voice.
Okay, now you're wondering what type of weird twat I am and why the fuck you're reading this. If you know what I'm talking about but never could put your finger on it, here it is! This shit is like The Matrix.
Anyway, check this video out. Wear headphones with no other sounds in the background, watch for five minutes and see if anything happens.
Literally only like 1% of the people I've talked to about it get it though, so if ya don't, don't be sad and feel free to call me a weird cunt.
Ta!

You are not alone, Joey Flash. I've experienced this phenomenon as well. I never knew there was a community dedicated to it until maybe... six months ago. Yup. I stumbled upon a related video on YouTube. And ya know what? I think it's great stuff. I find it therapeutic.

I get ASMR like really really reallyyyyyy bad (or good?) and watch a few of the YouTube videos like Heather Feather. I always had it when I was a kid (before I knew what this was) and I thought i was like reallyyyyyy weird or something lol cos I'd get it watching the most random of things like people drawing and writing etc etc etc. Get it real bad (or good) when having my hair cut and having my ears played with or someone whispering into my ear... The whispering into my ear one gives me it the most by far. Anyway not too long ago I told my girlfriend about this (and my family too) and they all looked at me like I was a complete and utter weirdo (more so than usual), my girlfriend swears it's a sexual thing and I get turned on by watching the weirdest of stuff (lol) and she'd never ever experienced it and my family thought the same as her and they'd never experienced it either. Needless to say they all think I'm a complete and utter weirdo now with the oddest of fetishes lol really wish they could feel it as it feels real nice and it's super relaxing and soothing. The girlfriend whispers in my ear a lot to give me it but I swear she only does that thinking I find it a sexual turn on or something lol! Oh and I also get it watching her do her makeup etc.... Jeez I really am weird glad I'm not the only weirdo out there though

I have been shown these videos before but I never have that tingling sensation, though I am always convinced my brain is broken in someway so I usually blame it on that lol. Though it is an interesting phenomenon and I wonder what was developed through our evolution to cause it.

I subscribe to a few ASMR channels on Youtube. The "unintentional" ones, where the video was never meant to induce ASMR, tend to be my favorites:

Had a teacher that had a really soft voice and was very neat and gentle with everything. Would knock me out 50% of the time with her asmr mind tricks. Failed a grade HOPING to get her again the next year... never happened.

I got slightly disoriented, but that could also be pressure change. I do live next to a mountain in the desert. This area is kind of weird...

I watched a Harley Quinn kidnaps, and interrogates Batman.....never watching it again. I actually felt like she was gonna cut me up, and I had this weird tingling sensation in my stomach.
Another Harley Quinn does my makeup. Actually touched my cheek, and looked if I had pink make-up on it before snapping back into reality like "WTF AM I DOING?"

Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh....... Nope, not doing that today. I already know what ASMR is, and I have no interest in listening to a man whisper about how he's rubbing a knife against his beard or a cam whore pretending that whispering into my ear while her low cut top about reaches the floor isn't just for views ala the "RE: girls" of bygone days of YouTube. The only thing that grants me cathartic relief is music, Which plays to all my different emotions. Perhaps most relevant to this concept is Mirah's voice, as she has a truly angelic and soothing one which honestly helps me sleep at night. It's more than the voice, though, it's the whole orchestrated song, which is often very complex and layered with different instruments. What I'm saying is, music must be the closest thing for me, but it's a different sensation which I'm sure everyone gets, or would get depending on the music they listen to and whether it actually classifies as music. For the most part, these ASMR videos are easy ways to get views and roll in dat CASH MONEY dawg. I could make one myself, but I refuse to partake in things I don't believe in.
