I Rise in Flame, Cried the Phoenix
The scene opens up in the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas following a new edition of WCF's Timebomb. The after effects of an action packed pay per view still linger in the air. It was an night of excitement, heartbreak, and everything else you'd expect with good quality wrestling. Among the highlights of the night, STEVE ORBIT IS THE NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, the seemingly never ending Era of Fly is over. A new king sits atop the throne lying in wait as a slew of contender's battle it out to meet the Champion in an attempt to knock down the king and one would assume Jonny Fly is undoubtedly planning his revenge in pursuit of his gold.
BRENT ALPINE, CHELSEA BLACK ARMSTRONG, CORMACK MACNEILL, SEIFER BLACK ARMSTRONG, AND CHASE MICHAELS ADVANCE IN THE TRILOGY CUP TOURNAMENT!
It was a night of triumph as the victors of the Trilogy Cup Tournament are one step closer to achieving their dreams. But for one superstar in particular it was a night of heartbreak as his dream of becoming World Heavyweight Champion is halted for the time being as Newcomer Michael Steele became a Wildcard knocking off Benjamin Atreyu, James Fatel, Jayden Thunder in an Elimination Match and becomes the first man to enter the Trilogy Cup Tournament if someone else is unable to compete.
The camera pans backstage as we see Jayden Thunder walking through the arena with luggage in tow with a look of disappointment drenched on his face. As he walks through the backstage of the American Airlines Center on his way to his rental car he passes by the interview area where Hank Brown is taping interviews airing the fallout of Timebomb later on.
Hank Brown: "Yo Jayden could I get an interview from you on your thoughts on the quick elimination you suffered at the hands of James Fatel?"
Jayden Thunder: "No."
Jayden doesn't even look at Hank with his answer, just continues walking giving Hank the biggest cold shoulder ever as Hank looks on in disbelief. Thunder soon reaches the garage where he throws the luggage into the back seat and gets into the car squalling the tires as he makes his exit as the scene fades to black.
The scene opens up in Tampa, Florida, at the home of Jayden Thunder. The house is in disarray with clothes scattered everywhere and dishes piled up. Obviously Jayden hasn’t been giving much attention to cleanliness around his house and even himself. The iconic 5’ o’clock shadow of a man wallowing in self pity shows across his face.
As the camera looks around more we also notice Jayden just sitting in the dark, not a single electronic is on and being used like one would expect in this day and age where people shower with their phones and tablets. Thunder has effectively become a couch potato.
Seemingly a long eternity of silence befalls us as not a sound is made until the sound of a phone echoes through the abyss. One ring, two rings, three rings, four, Jayden ignores the phone which prompts the answering machine to come on and then we are graced as we hear a beautiful, angelic voice as a woman leaves a message.
Woman: ”Hey babe, I’m on my way home now, I just now found out what happened . Keep your head up honey. I’ll be there soon."
The answering machine beeps as it saves the message and also kind of snaps Jayden out of his trance like state. He stands up and looks around before walking through the house. Finally after navigating through the living room to the dining room where he then ascends stairs to a room upstairs. The door is closed and once Thunder gets there he stands outside the door before breathing a heavy sigh slowing reaching for the doorknob. As the door opens the room appears to be a trophy room where Jayden has stored the titles and awards he has won in past promotions over the years. As the camera scans we see plaques saying WGZeF Undisputed Champion, WGZeF Intercontinental Champion, WGZeF United States Champion, WGZeF Hardcore Champion…
As the camera continues to show more titles and whatnot we noticed Jayden dart out of the room and once he comes back we see him holding a metal trash can. He sets the trash can down and looks at his life’s work of achievements one last time before snapping and ripping the memorabilia off the walls and throwing them in the trash can. After emptying the room Jayden takes the trash can downstairs and into the backyard where a gas can is waiting conviently. Thunder douses the inside of the trash can with the gasoline, pulls out a matchbook, takes out a single match, strikes it against the box igniting it and tosses it into the trash can.
The trash can erupts in flames and black smoke pours out as the fire works on destroying everything in the container. Jayden looks on with somewhat amusement as half a smile like a crazy person creeps across his face. As we watch the fire rage on we hear the woman from earlier who just walked into the door.
Woman: ”Jayden, What, what are you doing?”
The woman bolts to the kitchen and grabs a fire extinguisher and runs out side, pulls the pin, and fights the blaze in the trash can as Jayden continues looking on. After a few intense moments the woman finally puts out the fire and we see nothing but ass in the trash can as the woman then just stares at Jayden.
Woman: ”Why did you do that?”
Jayden Thunder: ”I..I…don’t need them anymore…I’m not deserving…”
Jayden runs his hands across his face and through his hair like a maniac.
Woman: ”Don’t you dare say that!”
The woman lunges at Jayden wrapping her arms around him in an tight hug revealing to be someone close to Jayden, more importantly his wife, as Thunder immediately wraps his arms around her as well as the camera fades to black.

The scene opens up in the bedroom where we see Jayden Thunder and the woman from earlier who appears to be his wife. The woman is talking to Jayden who is still in a trance state not saying much or anything.
Woman: ”Talk to me honey, quit being like this, this, isn’t you…”
Jayden just stares blankly into the air.
Woman: ”Jayden!”
Jayden: ”What Marilyn, what!?”
Marilyn: ”Don’t you yell at me! I’m just trying to find out what’s going on with you, you aren’t being
yourself.”
Jayden: ”What gives you that impression?”
Marilyn: ”Well for one I’m none too pleased with downstairs, that fire extinguisher made a mess everywhere.”
Jayden: ”You’re the one that did it…”
Marilyn: ”Wouldn’t have had to if you wasn’t going crazy psycho burning your traces of past success.”
Jayden: ”Oh…Yeah.”
Marilyn: ”Yeah, why did you do that anyways?”
Jayden: ”I don’t have it in me anymore, every time I’m in a high pressure situation where I could positioned to earn some gold, I fail, I buckle under the pressure.”
Marilyn: ”That’s not true, sure you’ve been on a losing streak but no one can deny that you are on a hot losing streak. You’re almost there, you just got to tap into the real essence of yourself.”
Jayden: ”I guess that makes some sense.”
Marilyn: ”You know it does. Maybe you out to consider going back to your old ways from when you first broke out into the business and began to have the success that is sitting out in that trash can outside.”
Jayden: ”But I didn’t like that guy, I like being the guy that tries to rally the fans, be a hero all could depend on.”
Marilyn: ”I understand but I like the other guy, this guy you’ve become has taken so much out of you, at least that other guy was comfortable and confident.”
Jayden: ”You’re right, you’re always right.”
Marilyn: ”Haha thank you.”
The couple smiles and laughs at each other before closing in on a kiss as the screen fades to black.

The scene opens up backstage in the World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado host of tonight’s Slam. We see Jayden Thunder and his wife Marilyn Rayne standing by with Hank Brown prepping for an interview. As the process is underway we noticed a change in Jayden’s appearance as he has been growing his hair back out and is dressed in a trench coat and full length tights with multiple designs of stars and lightning bolts. Also has; matching elbow pads, wrist bands, knee pads, and kick pads on his boots. We also notice Marilyn Rayne looking stunning with a custom made body suit/crown with different designs.
Hank Brown: ”Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us tonight as we host another exciting edition of Slam which is also the fallout of Timebomb. Standing by with me is Jayden Thunder and his wife Marilyn Rayne. Thank you for joining me as well.”
Marilyn Rayne: ”Thanks for having us. And I hope you do accept my husband’s apology for his actions last week following Timebomb.”
Hank Brown: ”No hard feelings, I understand he was upset after getting his ass handed to him in that elimination match.”
Jayden Thunder:”Now wait a minute I thought you said no hard feelings…”
Marilyn Rayne: ”Yeah, what happened to that? That was uncalled for.”
Hank Brown: ”It is what it is. Look let’s just get on with the interview. I just wanted to get your thoughts on
your match tonight where you’ll be taking on the unorthodox Lupus Onyx and Mr. WCF Logan.”
Jayden Thunder: ”My thoughts are this…Tonight the games are over, the fun is done, and it’s time to rise from the ashes born anew. I’ve been holding back since I’ve stepped foot into this company. Trying to play the typical good guy I have made myself susceptible to an embarrassing losing streak. I finally hit my breaking point when I began to doubt myself and why even bother lacing up the boots. But my wife, my beautiful wife, has reminded me of a side of me that has been itching and clawing to come to the surface. And tonight, he will be unleashed.”
Hank Brown: ”That’s all fine and dandy put you are facing pretty stiff competition tonight in the form of the veteran Logan and strong newcomer Lupus Onyx.”
Jayden Thunder: ”I disagree. I believe I have an advantage, I’ve come to terms with myself. They haven’t. Poor Logan hasn’t ever been the same since Lilith dumped him and to be honest he was never really interesting with his I’m a boudle, you’re a boudle, we’re all boudles routine with free hot dogs in the mix. He’s lost his Hardcore Championship, and was unable to win the World Heavyweight Championship. I believe he’s just going through the motions collecting a paycheck. His head isn’t in it and that’s where I will strike. It’s all a matter of the precise moment.”
”And as far as Lupus Onyx goes he’s never posed much of a threat to me anyways when he got involved with Sarah Twilight and Lilith with a bumpy start to his career which has led him to get beat by a guy who fights in a kilt…Lupus Onyx is just a typical wanna be cult-leader who likes to claim they are the devil and the most evil bad guy in town. Let’s get this straight Mr. Onyx, you don’t scare me."
Hank Brown: ”Some strong words there Mr. Thunder. Full of yourself are we?”
Jayden Thunder: ”Just shut up Brown and watch tonight, you will see for yourself, you will all see for yourself.”
Jayden runs his hands up his face through his hair and starts panting heavily.
Hank Brown: ”You aight’ there Jayden? You don’t look right.”
Marilyn Rayne: ”He’s just fine..."
The scene fades to black as Hank Brown looks at the strange couple.
