The scene opens on the American Airlines Center. It was empty except for the lonely stage hands that were setting everything up for the big event on Sunday night. The lights were hung high above the arena floor, and the ring was still in pieces. The stage and entrance had been finished, and the ramp way was still yet to be set up, but even that would come in time. Two figures sit high in the stands looking down at them, and we soon see that it is Denise and Night Rider. Her hand was still wrapped but it would be healed in time for Sunday night. Night Rider holds her hand, running his finger over the diamond that she now wore.
Night Rider: It's kinda funny you know. I still get the butterflies before a big match. Like a kid getting ready for his first date to the prom. Always has been that way. Of course, Not as nervous as I was before I asked you to marry me. I must have practiced a thousand times trying to make sure it came out perfectly. Then it still didn't come out exactly the way I wanted it to.
He paused for a moment gazing into her eyes.
Night Rider: That was the day you made me the happiest man in the world. I can't tell you how much it truly means to me having you by my side. Not only as the one I love and will share the rest of my life with but as the perfect partner to do battle with against anyone that dares cross our paths. It's hard to believe that in just a short time this place will be full of people screaming their heads off.
Denise: I know. I've been in this business a little while and when I hear the chants, the screams, my music pounding on the speakers, I still get nervous. But the day the we tie the knot my stomach will be full of butterflies. But you will make me the happiest woman on earth. Just like I am right now.
She smiles softly and her deep blue eyes sparkle in the bright lights of the arena.
Night Rider: I swear you get even more beautiful with every passing moment. It is going to be so wonderful when we step into that ring together for Timebomb. Knowing that in just a short time we will be the WCF World Tag Team Champions. Those Titles really have quite a history and haven't gotten the proper respect they deserve. It wasn't until after Jeff and I lost them before that I learned just how great they really are. I mean, You have former champions such as the first ever Champions Creeping Death and Rick Mad. C.D. Now there was a Superstar. We will bring respect back to those belts and make them as great as they once were. Not to be tossed aside and vacated like they were done.
Denise: I know. I still can't understand how they could just up and drop them like they were yesterdays trash. But you're right about bringing respect back to the titles. We will be the greatest tag team champions that the WCF has ever known in the last few months. Wild and OG are not even a threat to us.
Night Rider: You can say that again. Neither are the Kingdom. I mean, Hell they were brought here by Adam Young. That guy knows talent about as good as the Chicago Cubs front office. They say there is strength in numbers but not if all the numbers stink. Listen, Enough of this sitting around here. How about we head out for some fresh air and take a walk. The stars are almost as beautiful as your eyes.
She gets to her feet, and extends her hand to Night Rider. He takes it and they start down the stairs to the main floor. As they reach the bottom level Night Rider sees a small black kitten that had somehow gotten inside the arena. He walked over and coaxed it out from it's spot. It came out slowly shaking with fear as he held out his hand. Finally he was able to grab onto it and he picked it up. Turning towards Denise he holds out the kitten towards her.
Night Rider: Look what I found. I wonder how it got in here?
Denise reaches out and the kitten quickly jumps into her arms and begins purring as it rubs it's face against hers. Denise smiles as the kitten curls up in her arms, purring loudly.
Denise: I don't know, but it's cute.
The two of them head out into the night, feeling the cool night air. The stars sparkled brightly above the city as they walked along in front of the arena toward the car.
Denise: The Kingdom we haven't even heard from them yet. Maybe they got smart and decided to back out of it.
Night Rider: Maybe they did. It would be in their best interest if they did. Who knows, It doesn't really matter because nothing they say is going to change things one bit. Hey, Since it's so nice out why don't we go for a walk around here? The peace and quiet will do us some good.
Denise: Don't give me that. Something is on your mind, What's up?
Night Rider: You see through me so well. I just wanted some quiet time with you. Just enjoying each other's company before the big event. I like to take a walk sometimes just to enjoy being free to do so when there are so many who can't. It helps me appreciate things a little bit more.
Denise: I would love to take a walk with you. The car will be fine until we get back.
They began walking as the stars danced in and out of the clouds, As if they were fighting to see who would prevail. For a while it looked like the rain would start any moment before it cleared for good. They walked along discussing the simple things in life and enjoying the beauty around them.

They began walking as the stars danced in and out of the clouds, As if they were fighting to see who would prevail. For a while it looked like the rain would start any moment before it cleared for good. They walked along discussing the simple things in life and enjoying the beauty around them.
As they turned the next corner Night Rider got a funny feeling that something wasn't right. The hairs on his arms began to stand up like a radar searching for an intruder. He caught a movement out of the corner of his eye and turned his head slightly. He could see a pair of blood red eyes glaring at them from a distance. Suddenly two others appeared, One on each side of the first. Their eyes glowed an eerie yellow color. D'Evil drew her sword from it's sheath and swung just in time as the one on the left sprang from the darkness with it's teeth slashing through the air. Her sword found it's mark and severed the head of the beast. Night Rider turned instinctively and drew his .44 Magnum and fired as the one on the right jumped out after him. The bullet hit it right between the eyes and still it refused to go down. It crept closer and closer as Night Rider fired slug after slug into it. D'Evil turned and swung in one motion and sliced the beast in half, Collapsing at Night Riders feet. The two of them turned as the first beast moved slowly out of the darkness towards them. It's eyes glowed an even eerier blood red color as it crept along towards them. Night Rider aimed his gun but Denise put her hand out to cover it.
Denise: Don't bother, baby. That's not going to do any good with these monsters. They are beasts of a whole other kind. Infernal monsters who can only be killed by magical or enchanted means. I'm going to have to handle this one. It is me that they've been looking for. Ever since I killed Jason they've been on the hunt. Run.
The second makes a leap at her, with it's dark claws extended. It's claws land square in her chest, but she still remains standing. Night Rider rushes to her side, seeing that the scratches had brought blood to the surface under the shirt which was now torn.
Night Rider: I'm not leaving you!
Denise: GO! I'll be fine!
Night Rider nods and runs off, as one of the Demons makes a leap for him. Denise slices it in half and it falls to the ground only to disappear into a pile of ash.
Denise: *Voice Over* Tomorrow is the night boys! Tomorrow night we will stand in the middle of the ring, to see which team will walk away with the Tag Titles. Of course we all know how this is going to end though. Night Rider and I will be walking away with the Titles leaving the rest of you with nothing. Lets start with the ones that have yet to even make themselves known... The so called Kingdom. Sid, Dex you two have been quiet, and maybe that's for the best. I mean you two seem to be the odds one out in this whole match. You're new here and you two got thrown into a match such as this, in hopes that you would come in and take what is rightfully ours didn't you? That's not going to happen, and Night Rider and I will make sure of it. You are not a threat to ones such as us, and you will be the first to fall to the Shadow Demons.
The demons shriek, as two more appear. Denise sighs, and looks around her knowing that this could take longer then what she wanted. They all smile an evil grin as they run at her. She leaps around them in a fluid movement, and lands on the other side of them. She starts to scale up a fire escape as they start to climb up the sides of the buildings on either side of them keeping up with her. She reaches the roof, and looks around her. There were at least 5 more of the creatures now, but it was nothing that she couldn't handle.
Denise: *Voice Over* The two Jordan's... What can I truly say about the two of you? You've said your piece and yet, I don't believe your words at all. You claim that the Phoenix will rise and take the Titles in blaze of fire and light, yet there is emptiness behind the words that you have spoken. They are hollow, and have no meaning. Do you really think that you can defeat us like that? With shallow words? No. You think you have us beaten already and yet you will fail just like everyone else. No matter what kind of strategy you think you have it won't be enough to bring us down. We will be ready to face the light, only to have it blocked out by the Shadows that we now embody.
One of the demons make a flying leap at Denise from behind. She turns and her blade connects with it's face. The blade goes through it, as black blood splashes onto Denise. She doesn't blink, but keeps moving through the demons as they leap or disappear around her. One lands on her back, digging it's steel like claws into her. She cries out in pain, and reaches back with a free hand ripping the creature from her, feeling the claws coming out of her skin. Denise tosses the creature to the ground, plunging the sword though it, as it turns to ash.
Denise: *Voice Over* Wild Gangsta's... Where do I even start? We've beaten you once before and yet you think you can beat us this time? Hardly. We all know what happened the last time that you stepped into that ring against us and how bad you lost. This time around won't be any different, and we're going to make sure that you don't even get a foot hold in this match. When everything is over, and the bell has sounded, you, The Kingdom, and the two Jordan's will be lying in the middle of the ring wondering where you went wrong. You see this is our time to shine, while you are left with nothing. We have worked long and hard to get where we are, and everyone else are just stepping stones that have lifted us to the top and to where we truly belong. When all is said and done, you will be broken, battered, bruised, and bloodied, while we walk away with the Titles on our arms. Blood, sweat, and tears will be shed and bones will be broken, and careers will be ended. If any of you want to back out of this match before our match then by all means please do. We are not afraid, and we will not stop until we get what we want. The Death Bringer comes, and she comes for thee! See you soon gentlemen. Oh and good luck... You're going to need it.
Denise swings the shimmering blade once again, as the last demon falls to the ground and turns to ash. She lets out a sigh, and heads back toward the fire escape. They fought with everything they had but it wasn't enough to stand up to the Immortal. The long jacket she wore was torn, but it was nothing that couldn't be fixed, and blood still flowed lightly from the wounds that she had received. she walked down the fire escape as Night Rider appeared at the bottom once again. He looked up at her worried, but smiled softly as she reached the bottom.
Night Rider: Are you all right?
Denise: I'm fine... They put up a bit of a fight but it was nothing that I couldn't handle.
Night Rider: I'm sorry that I couldn't be of some help.
Denise puts a hand to his face and smiles, as the kitten leaps back into her arms.
Denise: It's all right. They would have either killed you or used you as a play toy. Trust me, they are not a pleasant bunch.
Night Rider: I can see that. So what are you going to name this little one?
Denise looks down at the kitten as it's emerald eyes, glowed brightly in the night.
Denise: How about Little Shadow?
Night Rider smiles and nods.
Night Rider: I like it. Now why don't we go back to the hotel and get you fixed up?
Denise: Sounds good. A nice shower might do me some good... And then maybe you and I could... spend some time together?
Night Rider: I think we could do that. Come on.
Night Rider and Denise head back to the car, and she slips inside, feeling the scratches that she had gotten. They were starting to heal but it would take time before she was fully healed. Sunday night was fast approaching and she would be ready no matter what she had to do. The little kitten sat on her lap, and curled up purring loudly, as Night Rider slipped into the car, and turned it on. Soon they were headed back toward the hotel, as the scene fades to black.
Run.
