The scene opens on the beautiful city of Dallas. The night had a cool breeze moving through the city. The sun had started to set over the city, and the lights were just starting to come on, glowing brightly against the on coming night. In one of the nicer parts of the city the sound of sirens filled the night air, and cast their lights over the homes that were still slumbering through the noise. Two figures stand on of the roof tops looking onto the scene that was laid out before them. The two of them watch as the police start taping off the area, as the news vans start to arrive trying to get the story on the late night news. They clamored over each other, trying to get one of the officers to say something but all of them were ignored.
Voice 1: I thought they would put up a bigger fight.
Voice 2: They didn't expect to face someone like you lovely.
Voice 1: No one ever does. At least that is one less problem you have to deal with now.
One of the figures smiles as the other steps out into the light. It was Denise, and her well kept hair was matted, while the long black trench coat that she wore was now filled with bullet holes and torn all over. The sword she carried was covered in deep red blood, and still dripped onto the ground as it hung from her side. Night Rider emerges from the shadows and looks down at the scene, and takes Denise by the hand.
Night Rider: Thank you.
Denise: It was nothing. You asked me to help you and I did as you asked of me. I know if I asked you to do something for me, I know that you would do the same for me.
Night Rider: You know I would do anything you asked of me in a heart beat.
Denise: I know you would, but what I have to deal with I can't ask you to help me with.
Night Rider puts a hand to her blood stained face, and she closes her eyes feeling his touch, filling her with warmth and love.
Night Rider: I know. I would die for you just to make sure that you would live that much longer.
Denise blushes slightly, as she watches the EMT's take the first body out of the house, in a black body bag only to be placed in one of the ambulances. Denise smiles to herself knowing that revenge had been served, and it was a great feeling deep within.
Denise: We better get out of here before the police see us.
Night Rider: If they did would it really matter?
Denise: They would hold us for questioning if nothing else, since we are in the vicinity, and covered in blood dearest. I would rather not take that chance.
Night Rider: Point taken. Let's go.
The two of them start down the fire escape and down to the ground as the lights from the police cars lit up the darkness. The two of them take off into the night, and head toward the car that was waiting for them. Denise slips into the drivers seat, and waits for Night Rider to get in. They are soon taking off into the night leaving the gory scene behind them.
Denise: That was too easy.
Night Rider: It was. Sunday night will be just as easy.
Denise: Very true my love. We will not stop until we get what we want.
Night Rider: We've earned this chance, and we're not going to lose it now.
Denise: Don't worry, we'll do whatever it takes to win those titles and put everyone else down no matter what it takes.
The two of them drive in silence heading back toward their hotel for the evening. Time quickly passes by and they are back at their hotel. The two of them head inside, drawing a few strange looks, but were left alone. Most of the patrons knew who they were and didn't dare approach, but took pictures as they passed by. They reach the elevator and Denise presses the button and watches the numbers coming down from one of the floors above them.
Denise: I think I need a shower.
Night Rider: No you don't... You look beautiful.
Denise: I'm glad you think so.
Night Rider: I always will.
Denise smiles and pushes back a piece of hair that had fallen down in her face, and kisses him gently as the doors of the elevator opens. They step inside, as they continue to kiss with the doors closing behind them, as the scene fades to black.
The scene soon reopens on the dimly lit hotel suite. Denise lays with Night Rider sound asleep beside her. His naked chest heaves slowly with each breath that he takes, and Denise smiles softly watching him sleep. Her deep blue eyes look over at him, and gets up from where she lays, wrapping the sheet around her as she gets up. Her mind flashes back to the hours before, their bodies locked in passion, the lust spread between them, as he thrusted in her, sweat beading on their skin, their moans filling the night, as the two of them climaxed only to collapse in each other's arms. She had truly loved him, and nothing would change that. She knew that he was mortal and wouldn't live as long as her, but as long as he was with her, she would love him with everything that she had, and never let anything happen to him. She walks to the window and looks out into the night, seeing the city was quiet except for a few cars that moved through the streets. A low rumble could be heard in the distance, and a flash of lightening flashed across the sky lighting up the city below. It wouldn't be long before the rain would begin, bringing much needed water to the earth once again. As Denise stares out the window, an old too familiar feeling moves through her body as she sees a young man walking alone. She continues to watch him and that's when he looked up at her, or so she thought. She turns from the window and starts to slip into her clothes as quietly as she can. Her long hair had been tied back away from her face except for one strand that hung down. Her steel blue eyes sparkled in the dim light of the room, as she looked back at Night Rider who was still asleep. She goes back to the window, and the young man was still standing there looking up at the hotel. Something was familiar about him, and she had to find out who it was. She slips on the thigh high boots, and grabs the now glistening sword that sat on the chair by the door.
Night Rider: Where are you going?
Denise turns around and smiles softly as she grabs the trench coat off the floor and slips it on, moving toward the bed.
Denise: I'm going out.
Night Rider: Is it someone like you?
Denise: I think so. I have to find out for sure though. I'll be back soon.
Night Rider: Just be careful.
Denise: I will.
With that Denise kisses him softly and heads out the door, leaving him alone worrying if she would come back to him in one piece. Denise hits the button for the elevator and the doors open. She steps inside, and leans against the back of the car as the doors closed in front of her.
Denise: This week we have been thrown into a match of a life time for the Tag Titles. It's about time that we got this chance to prove our true worth against some of the big names. Caliban has already said his piece and yet I don't think he knows the kind of threat he is going to have when it comes to the Shadows. The last few matches that we have been in as a team we have beaten our opponents into nothingness and this week won't be any different. You say that you are the light Caliban, but even the light can be snuffed out by the shadows around it, never to be seen again. Others have fallen to us, and you will be just another victim under our feet Caliban. Try what you will against us but it will not save you or your partner this week. It will be our time to shine, and there is nothing that you can do to stop us. Of course we are not your only opponents this week are we? There are others that despise you just as much as we do, and will try to stop you as well. But then again, we are all out for one thing, and one thing only... The coveted Tag Titles.
Denise sighs, and watches the numbers go down, and soon reaches the main lobby. She moves through the lobby once again as a few people take notice of her, as she heads for the front door. The rain had finally started and the streets were covered in puddles, and the lights cast their beautiful glow into the puddles below. Denise pulls up the collar on her jacket and heads out into the night feeling the warm rain falling onto her head. She walks along the now empty sidewalk, feeling the warm air around her.
Denise: Ciserano you and Caliban truly think that you can stop us? The so called Rise of the Phoenix will crash and burn before it even has a chance to really take off. The shadows will swallow the flame and let it be snuffed out just like the light that your partner claims that you carry. We will not stop until we get what we want and that is seeing the Pantheon is brought down from their pedestals only to crash and burn letting us take the Tag Titles and make them ours just as they were always meant to be. Ciserano how long have you and Caliban been a team? I mean can you really trust him? Night Rider and I have a connection and that's why we work so well as a team. You seem to be just thrown together in a stable and given a chance at the tag titles weren't you? That's always a problem in tag teams like that isn't it? Do you do what you want to do, or do you fall in with the person you barely know? That's always the choice, and its a hard one to make.
She smiles to herself, as she continues to walk along, and the city starts to fade behind her. She had come to the edge of the city, where an old church stood. Denise looks up at the church.
Voice 1: I thought they would put up a bigger fight.
Voice 2: They didn't expect to face someone like you lovely.
Voice 1: No one ever does. At least that is one less problem you have to deal with now.

She smiles to herself, as she continues to walk along, and the city starts to fade behind her. She had come to the edge of the city, where an old church stood. Denise looks up at the church.
It had been left to the weather, and it was starting to show. Denise looks up at the steeple, and sighs, this would be the last battle that she would have, one that needed to be finished even if it was under the eyes of God, if he still resided within. she opens the door and walks inside, with her high heeled boots clicking on the now dull marble floor.
Voice: When angels are forced out of heaven, they become devils. You agree, wouldn't you, Denise?
Denise looks around and sees a man dressed in a black suit, with a cigarette sitting in his hand.
Denise: I'm just watching a bad dream I never wake up from.
He just smiles an evil smile and takes a drag from the cigarette in his hand.
Man: I'll wake you up right now.
Denise: What's your rush, Gregory? After all, it's been a long time.
He laughs, as Denise draws closer to him, with a hand on the hilt of her sword.
Gregory: Are you pleading for your life?
Denise: Hardly, begging doesn't work on you, remember? Even if it's coming from the woman who took you in and made you what you are.
Gregory: Perhaps, but he was a beast who lost his fangs; that's why he had to die Denise. And that's why you have to die...
Denise: Then bring it on Gregory and see if you can.
He springs up from where he sits, and is in front of Denise in a split second. The two blades collide and sparks fly off of them. Denise pushes him back, and he just slides across the dust filled floor.
Denise: *Voice Over* Wild... What didn't you learn from the last time that we met? I mean you tried to get that win but it was in vain wasn't it? Night Rider and I made sure that you didn't get that win by any means necessary and we will do so again. Do you still trust OG even after all that? Are you two on the same page or is it going to be a repeat of what we saw before from you? If it is then we have this match in the bag. Of course you're nothing to someone like me. You are a joke and always will be Wild. That's why I'm not going to spend a lot of time and big words on you.
Gregory comes back at Denise but she sidesteps him, and his sword lands in one of the pillars holding up the second story. Denise laughs as gets him across the face with her blade bringing blood to the surface.
Gregory: You bitch!
Denise: What's the matter Greg? Getting slow in your old age?
He screams and rushes at her. He knocks her back into a pew and sends her flying over the back of it, and slams into the one in front of it. He plunges his sword deep into her shoulder, and she screams in pain, feeling the blood starting to seep from the wound that he had made. He laughs, and looks down at her.
Gregory: You should see yourself. Do you have any idea what you look like right at this moment, Denise?
Denise: What?
Gregory: A ravenous beast. The same blood runs through both of us. The blood of a beast who wanders, hunting for the blood of others.
Denise: I've bled all that kind of blood away.
Gregory: THEN WHY ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?
Denise: Because I'm the best at what I do!
Denise kicks him in the midsection, sending him flying across the church, and into the stone wall. Denise gets up feeling a bit weak from the blood loss but it had to be finished.
Denise: *Voice Over* Old Gangsta... That's all you will ever be. A wannabe that thought he had everything that he anted in life, only to end up failing and falling face first on the mat when you faced Night Rider and I a few weeks ago. Or do you remember that? I mean you are getting old after all. Tell me OG can you even stand in the middle of the ring after the last beating that we put you through? I mean it was brutal wasn't it? This time around it's not going to be much better. That was just the start OG and this will be the finale not only for you, but for the Kingdom, Sequitus and you and Wild. You see we're not going to play nice, and we will finish what we started with you and make sure that the two of you are put down like the rabid beasts that you two are.
Denise moves to where Gregory had landed, and sees him on the floor. She goes to pull him up, but gets a sword blade in the arm leg. She cries out in pain, and falls to the floor, as Gregory gets up putting the blade to her throat.
Gregory: This is it Denise. It's time to end the game of cat and mouse that we've had over the centuries.
As he brings the blade down she manages to roll away, and under one of the pews still holding her wrist. The blood was flowing pretty heavily and knew that she had to find something to wrap it in or loose more blood then she wanted.
Gregory: You can't hide Denise... You're leaving a trail!
She sighs, and rolls out from under the pew and runs across the sanctuary and into the offices or what was left of them. She finds an old table scarf and starts to wrap it around her wrist, feeling the bleeding finally starting to slow down, and she comes out of the offices only to find there as no other way out, not at least in this part of the building. She sees another door that read "roof". she tries the handle, but it was locked. She kicks the door open as she hears his footsteps heading her way. She starts to climb the stairs, and toward her freedom.
Denise: *Voice Over* Dex... Congratulations on the win last week... You better enjoy it, because it will be your last. Once again I see another thrown together stable with people that hardly know each other... Why is it you think that it's a good idea to do something like that, and wonder why you fail so miserably. You had one win and perhaps a few more, I've never really paid any attention to you before now, and will forget you just as soon as this match is over, and we have the Tag Titles in our hands. Once again, you are another one that I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time on. Why waste my breath on someone that is so beneath my attention? Your partner King however... He might actually prove to be a challenge, but then again I could be wrong couldn't I?
Denise reaches a few floors above Gregory and looks down, seeing him just reaching the floor below her. She takes off once again, and continues to run up the stairs with Gregory just a few steps behind her.
Gregory: Once you reach the roof Denise where are you going to go?
Denise: Anywhere that isn't near you!
Gregory: How much longer can you keep running Denise? You're losing a lot of blood.
Denise knew he was right, and that wasn't a good thing. Her vision was starting to blur from loss of blood but she wasn't going to lose to him. She had to much to live for now. Night Rider would be waiting for her, and their new life would begin soon enough. She holds onto the railing and continues up the stairs.
Denise: *Voice Over * King you are the last obstacle that will stand in our way of getting our hands on the Tag Titles, but we have faced Johnny Fly and Steve Orbit and walked away with a win. They are some of the biggest names in this company and we managed to bring them down. We brought the Gods down from their pedestals and brought them to earth to where the rest of the mortals play. You might be King in name, but you are far from a King in this sport. We have done the impossible and you really think that you can stand against us? I would like to see you and Dex to try or anyone else that is going to be in the middle of that ring on Sunday night. We will do whatever it takes you down from the throne that you sit on. If you were smart, you would walk away from this match and just forget about it, but I have a feeling you're not and will try to stand against us, and get those titles for yourselves.
Denise reaches the bells and smiles to herself and cuts the weakened ropes and sends one of the bells tumbling down toward Gregory. It smashes loudly through the stairs, and down to the stone floor at the bottom of the stairs. She reaches the door to the roof and kicks it open falling out onto the peaked roof. She lets out a sigh of relief as she looks back seeing that she had escaped Gregory. The sound of laughter is soon heard and there he stood. His face was covered in dust, and blood, but he still stood. He moved out onto the roof as Denise sprung to her feet, watching him all the while.
Gregory: You thought you could get away that easy?
Denise: No, but I knew it would slow you down at least some.
Gregory: It did, but you should know nothing can stop our kind.
Denise: Nothing a sword to the throat! Let's finish this!
Gregory: I couldn't agree more.
He rushes at her, and the blades collide once again. The sparks fly, as her deep blue eyes shimmered in the lights from the street lights in front of the church. Gregory pushes her back, and her foot slides on one of the lose titles that was on the roof and she slips losing her balance slightly. He takes his chance, and goes for her neck, but she grabs him instead and he starts to lose his balance as well.
Denise: If I go, you're coming with me!
Gregory: Over my dead body!
Denise: That's the plan!
Denise manages to regain her balance as Gregory starts to slip down the side of the roof. He slides down but manages to grab onto the drain pipe that ran around the roof and hangs on, as Denise looks down.
Gregory: What are you waiting for?
Denise: You know if you fall you'll just come back, and where is the fun in that?
Gregory: So what? It's an easy kill!
Denise: I won't kill you when your helpless. Either drop and we'll finish this on the ground, or I'll pull you up.
Gregory drops from the drain pipe and lands on the hard ground. Denise looks down and sighs. She leaps down from the roof and lands on the over hang that was over the front door before leaping down to the stairs and walks over to where Gregory was laying.
Denise: *Voice Over * To all of our opponents this week I have to say that we will not make this an easy fight on any of you. This will be our time to shine, while the rest of you fade into nothingness. The Shadows will pull this win out, and take what is rightfully ours. By the end of this match all of you will be broken, battered, bruised, and bloodied, and begging for death but it will not come. No, you don't deserve death, you get the joy of seeing the Tag Titles around our waists, while you have nothing. If you think you can stand against us then step in the middle of the ring, and try to stop us. We will not go into that good night that easy. We will fight with everything that we have, and do what must be done. There will be broken bones, hearts, and blood... Lots and lots of blood before this match ends. Blood sweat and tears will be spilled and we shall walk away with the Tag Titles and keep them as long as we can. The Death Bringer comes and she comes for thee! See you soon gentlemen! Oh and good luck this week...You're going to need it.
Denise smiles to herself as she watches Gregory sit up on the ground. He gets to his feet, and Denise smirks as she draws the shimmering silver blade once again.
Denise: It's time to end this Gregory.
Gregory: You know there will be others that seek you out!
Denise: I know, and I welcome each one to try and take my head. But you have failed this night Gregory. I'll give you one chance to walk away from this. Take it or leave it.
Gregory starts to walk away, only to turn around and run at Denise with blade drawn. The fight once again ensues, and they come face to face. The blades clash but Gregory's breaks and Denise smiles knowing she had him. He headbutts her and Denise is sent stumbling backwards into one of the tombstones in the small graveyard behind the church. It hits her lower back and she cries out in pain as Gregory starts choking her. Denise fights against him, but starting to fade in and out of consciousness.
Gregory: If I have choke the very breath out of you then so be it. It'll be easier to take your head!
Denise manages to get a knee up, and hits him dead in the groin. He falls back to the ground, and she grabs her blade from the ground, and slices his head off from his shoulders. The wind begins to pick up, and the clouds roll in with lightening cracking through the clouds. It begins to strike Denise and she drops the blade onto the ground, as the lightening continues to strike her, as she falls to her knees. The wind starts to die down, and the lightening starts to fade away just as quickly as it had come. She falls to the ground feeling the cold and wet ground around her, as the blackness started to settle in.
Voice 1: You're lucky you found her before the police did.
Voice 2: I should have been with her.
Voice 1: There was nothing you could have done anyway. Don't worry she'll come to in a bit.
Denise starts to stir, and her eyes slowly open seeing Night Rider and Sam sitting at the foot of the bed in their hotel room. She puts a hand to her head, and smiles softly as Night Rider takes her hand in his.
Night Rider: You had me worried.
Denise: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you.
Sam: You're lucky he found you when he did. As soon as he did he called me.
Denise: I got hurt pretty bad.
Night Rider: I know. I saw the blood that had dried. Are you sure you're all right?
Denise: I'm fine. It's nothing that a few hours won't heal. It's more than likely almost healed now.
Sam: It is. The wounds have been closing up for the last little while. You were lucky though. A few more inches and you would have lost a lot more blood then you did.
Denise: How did you find me?
Night Rider: I saw the light show. Now you need to rest. You've had a long night.
Denise: I'll be fine..
Sam: He's right. You need rest if you want to be ready for your match on Sunday. Now sleep.
Denise sighs, and looks over at Sam with a small smile. Night Rider kisses her and closes the bedroom door behind him as they walk out leaving Denise alone, and she soon falls into a deep sleep as the scene fades to black.
Voice: When angels are forced out of heaven, they become devils. You agree, wouldn't you, Denise?
Denise looks around and sees a man dressed in a black suit, with a cigarette sitting in his hand.
Denise: I'm just watching a bad dream I never wake up from.
