A cameraman and interviewer are walking to one of WCF's training rooms when a loud thud is heard. They rush to the scene. Vegas lays on the mat while a 7'2 monster (not literal monster) stands over him. Vegas slowly gets up.
Vegas: Again.
The 7'2 monster kicks Vegas in the midsection and goes to power-bomb him. On the way up Vegas maneuvers his leg. Once up above the monster's head Vegas locks in a triangle choke hold. The monster goes to power-bomb Vegas, but it is weak. Vegas's shoulders are pinned to the mat. 1....2.... the monster falls to the ground. Vegas releases the hold. The monster lays there catching his breath while Vegas gets back to his feet.
Interviewer: What are you doing Vegas?
Vegas: Training, as you know my debut match is coming up, a triple threat with Kendrick Masters and Alex Bankmanship.
Interviewer: This is how you train?
Vegas: The people who have really made history are the martyrs. The more I sacrifice the stronger I will become. If I can tolerate the pain, I can take more of it; if I can use their power against them, I can crush them.
Interviewer: Have you been doing this the whole day?
Vegas: Yes, I have been hit with chokeslams, powerbombs, brainbusters, and F5s today. Been hit with them three times each, then worked on reversals.
Interviewer: Is this a constant hell you put yourself through, and coming from him (he points to the monster that is now getting up).
Vegas: I was not content to believe in a personal devil and serve him, in the ordinary sense of the word. I wanted to get hold of him personally and become his chief of staff. But, I do not believe in a heaven or a hell.
Interviewer: Tell me Vegas, why were you not interested in Amazing Alex's offer?
Vegas: It's not about the money, or the women; it's not even about the gold right now. It is about releasing my aggression. Also, I am not about a group with a leader. I would rather be part of a collective. I have my eye on a few people.
Interviewer: You want to lead a pack already?!
Vegas: I said a collective, a group of individuals with similar goals.
Interviewer: Oh, so are you ready for your triple threat match?
Vegas: Almost.
Vegas signals for the monster. The monster knees Vegas in the stomach and sets him up for the unprettier. Vegas escapes, the hold, jumps onto the monsters back and locks in the cobra clutch. To get Vegas off the monster goes to slam his back to the floor, Vegas first hits the ground with his feet and slings the monster over with a belly-to-back suplex with the cobra clutch still locked in. Vegas flips over the monster, still holding the cobra clutch, causing him to be on his stomach. Vegas pulls back on the monster head and changes the cobra clutch to a modified dragon sleeper. The monster's lumbar and cervical are in excruciating pain. The moster taps out. Vegas pulls back a little further then releases.
Vegas: Checkmate.
Interviewer: Well good lu...
Vegas: I don't need luck.
Vegas: Again.
