The sound winds up to the force and acceleration of about hurricane speed is a very startling sound to first here so unexpectedly. Just by the sound of the winds make it seem that people could be thrown all over the place as the result of the powerful and forceful winds. As the winds go from west to east there is no sight at all. Nothing in darkness, nothing in color, not an object. There is just complete and utter blackness. A very unusual sight this is to be occurring, until the dim and very transparent sight of a human body in the fetal position slowly fades into the scene. By the size of the body it seems to be the size of a little boy, about the age of seven or eight. He is under a bed that doesn't seem to be made from the darkness not allowing full view of the bed and what is on it. The boy seems to be very frightened as the sound of him sniffling his nose imply that he was crying for some reason. The sound of a wooden door being slammed open just interrupts the sound of the vigorous wind hitting the side of buildings and other items. The sight of a man running through the room and looking for the young child under the bed. The man finally looks under the bed to see the outline of the child sitting there in complete fright. He grabs the child and pulls him out of the bed. He picks up the child up from under the bed. He carries the child out of the room very quickly.
As they go out of the room the darkness gets even more hard to see. The man is running through the house with the child in his arms. He runs past every single door very swiftly like he only has one destination on his mind. After a while of running he starts to slow down and begins to cough. The culprit of the cough is a sign that may end with the child and rescuer's demise. The culprit is dark smoke like from a fire of some sort. Slower and slower goes the man as he inhales more and more smoke from the fire. The child starts to cough as well as the man, the man looks at the child and seems to get a jolt of motivation in his mind and body. He accelerates down the hallway with the child in his arms. They finally reach another room that seems to be attached to another, in this room there is more lighting.
The details on the face of the man and the child is finally able to be seen because of the lighting from the new scenery. The mans face seems to be a face of a very young man about the age to be in high school. His faced is covered in black ash from the smoke. The ash is covering the proud and motivated face of the young adult. The smoke is also covering the face of the young child in the teenagers hands. The two look at each other before continuing on to the door a couple of feet in front of them. He opens the door and they both run out to be greeted with the firemen that rush into the house right after the two exit the burning home. They are met with a family of parents and another child about the age of twelve. Immediately after the family hugs the two boys who came out of the family they are intercepted by rushing paramedics that grab the two burning building survivors. The family yells back at the two boys that are now seen as brothers.
The child starts to look at the other brother as they are dragged away from the rest of their family. The young boy looks very upset about leaving his family.
Young Child: Why are they taking us away from them Donnie? I want mom and dad!
Donnie Deruty: Don't worry Donald, everything will be ok. We will be able to see mom an dad soon enough. These people are just here to make sure that we are ok. There is nothing to be feared of, I am here for you.
Young Donald just looks at his older brother Donnie and smiles in happiness. The medical doctors take the two boys to the ambulance right besides the huge red firetruck.
Doctor #1: Are you two ok? Do you have any shortness of breath or pressure on your chest?
Donnie Deruty: We are fine, we just want to go back and see our family. How much longer will this last?
Doctor #1: Don't worry, you will see your family soon enough. We just need to ask you some question and see if you are medically fit.
Donnie Deruty: We are ok, what don't you get about that? We are just a little shaken up and covered in smoke. That is all.
The second doctor was examining young Donald, but Donald was not following and allowing the doctor to properly examine him. Donnie takes the hand of Donald as the two starts to get up from the back of the ambulance.
Donnie Deruty: We are fine. There is nothing wrong with us. Now we are going to go see our family and how they are doing. There is nothing else for you to do here. Thank you for being concerned for our well being, but we will be fine on our own.
The two walk towards their family and hugs them with great force. They then ask if each other are ok.
Mrs. Deruty: Are you two ok? I was so scared that you two wouldn't be able to get out in time. Are you guys sure that you two are ok?
Donnie has a little disgusted look on his face before he replies to his mother and her concerns about the two of them.
Donnie Deruty: Mom, we are fine. Don't worry, we are fine. I made sure of it.
Donald and Donnie's father looks at Donnie before nodding and walking towards Donnie. He then hugs Donnie as the young Donald also joins in. Then the hug turns into a group hug through out the whole and entire family. Unfortunately the touching family moment is intercepted by the fire department chief. He has a rather sad look on his face before speaking to the family.
Fire Chief: I am so sorry to tell you that everything in your house hold is burned beyond repair. There was nothing that we could salvage out of the fire. Your two boys here got out of the house just in time, if they would have got out just a couple of seconds later, they would have been engulfed in flames. The only good news that I have for you is that your family is safe. I am so sorry about your loss of property and heart warming items. I wish you the best of luck in your future.
The fire chief walks off to join his force. The Deruty family just remains to hug each other before the camera lifts from the ground and into the air. It goes up so high that the last thing that is seen in the view is the smoke from the burning building.
Present
The sound of silence is all that is heard. Nothing more and nothing less fill the ear drums of the listeners. A slow sight starts to creep in like a villain in a horror movie looking around the corner for their next victim. The sight of a man's back standing in front of a tombstone. The man is wearing a black trench coat. Nothing else of the man can be seen besides the back of his neck and black hair. The camera slowly turns around at the face of the man standing in front of the stone representation of the deceased human under that very spot. The man begins to speak from the heart with out even taking his eyes off of the grave sight that reads “RIP Donnie Deruty”.
Donald Deruty: This piece of stone represents the man that risked his life for mine. This man was a wonderful son, a wonderful man, and most importantly...a wonderful brother. Donnie was a young man that was always my role model. He always was the person that I wanted to be when I became his age. I grew up watching him, I grew up beside him. I wanted to be just like him, I wanted to like the things he liked, I wanted to be his young clone. The man that rests in peace underneath this burial sight is someone that would love to tell his story, but I am here to tell it for him.
Donnie Deruty was a very handsome young man. He was always popular, and he had many friends just like himself. He was the oldest of the three of us and he was the one that set the bar for the rest to come. Donnie was such a little angel his whole life, it allowed my parents to hope that the rest of their children would turn out the same. He was a straight A student, a wonderful football player, starting freshman quarterback for the high school to be exact. It seemed like his life was as perfect as he was. He would date the pretty girls, he would always get invited to parties and much more success in his life. When I was born, he took me under his wing. He seemed to grow a connection to myself and I grew a connection to him. So he willingly took me every where he went to, rather it was with friends or just to hang out at the park. It seemed like we were un-seperatable, until that day come that he, Thomas, and my father Jack joined the military. I will never forget about the good times that we had during his time here on Earth, but there is one little occurrence that will never leave my mind as long as I live. When I was about seven my house burnt down and I was left in the house all alone, but he came in and saved my life. The man that lies beneath this gravestone is a hero and nothing less than that. Sleep well Donnie.
The man starts to walk away from the gravestone before he is interrupted by a man that is just watching like a paid audience. The man is none other than Hank Brown, the WCF interviewer. He looks at Donald before speaking to him.
Hank Brown: I am so sorry about meeting you like this, but I must get your comments and thoughts about your match this week at Slam. I hope I am not intruding or interrupting. I just saw you start to walk away and thought that now would be the best time to ask you.
Donald just looks at Hank before replying to the formally dressed Hank,
Donald Deruty: Sure, I am completely fine with it. Last time you were with me I told you to just ask me anything anytime and I must make that statement true. Fire away when you are ready. I will try and answer your questions as well as I can.
Hank Brown: Thank you so much. Now I would like to first start off by asking you about your United States Championship. I see that you don't have it with you at this time and place, but what are planning to do to the United States Championship exactly? I mean you have been speaking about changing it and making it more exciting, but you have really not given too much detail about the subject.
Donald Deruty: Well Hank, I am actually going to turn the WCF United States Championship into the most adored and honored championship in the WCF. You see Hank, as I see it. The United States Championship has become a laughing matter to say the least. It is a joke to people and I don't believe that it is a joke like everyone thinks it is. It is defiantly much more than just a piece of gold of a leather strap. When I first started here in the WCF, the United States Championship was a piece of gold that people would kill to be able to have, but now it is just another simple accomplishment that you add to your resume. Back in the day you had people like Slickie T, Mikami, Logan, Jack of Blades, and so much more superstars fight to be able to be called the WCF United States Champion. My goal is to make the championship's successful history repeat itself once more. I am going to make people not only want to be the United States Champion, but they will kill to even be in a match for the United States Championship. I have been preaching the same message week after week, and yet everyone seems to be ignoring myself and the lesson I am teaching them. Seth handed me the championship for a reason, and that reason is that I am clearly the best man to hold that championship and turn it into the respected championship that it once was.
In the last couple of years the Television Championship has over lapped the United States Championship a lot. It seems that many people have been worried about the championship that is suppose to allow newcomers to come in and win their first over the championship that has built many WCF Hall of Famers and legends over the many years. Just the simple thought of the Television Championship becoming more prestigious than the United States Championship almost makes me sick to my stomach. It is time for me to prove that the United States Championship still has importance, and it is most importantly time to show that the current United States Championship is not only the best United States Champion in the history of the WCF, but that the champion is also the best wrestler in the entire WCF. I have worked my way from the bottom of the earth to the top of the sky here in the WCF, three years of loyalty and I get nothing but average matches in the mid card. It is time for the spotlight to change its leading role, because soon enough after I get the United States Championship back on track...Creeping Death I am heading towards your World Championship.
Donald rubs his nose before listening to his next question.
Hank Brown: Now speaking of newcomers, Seth has been also preaching about the new generation of newcomers that has arrived in the past months and weeks. What do you think of all the new members of the WCF and what kind of future they have ahead of them?
Donald Deruty: Hank, to be completely honest I don't see too much from these men that Seth calls the next generation of the WCF. I think that Seth is on some drugs to be thinking that many of the newcomers here in the WCF has as much potential as he thinks they have. He thought that Nathan von Liebert was World Championship material and look what the outcome of last week was. A loss for the #1 Contender and a successful retain for the current WCF World Champion. Nathan should have never have been in a much of such a caliber so fast in his career here in the WCF. He should have never won the One Invitational, and he should have never beaten half of the opponents that he has so far in the WCF. Nathan is just lucky that Seth sees something in him, he is the next big thing to happen to the WCF in years. Now may I ask you how his last protegee ended up? How did his last future World Champion career go?
Hank Brown: Well, I cam suppose you are talking about Jay Price. If so then he didn't have much of a career besides in the Television and Hardcore Championships here in the WCF.
Donald Deruty: Exactly my point. Seth thinks that he knows the next big star in the WCF, but one hundred percent so far he has been wrong. He has never said that I was the next big star here in the WCF when I first started here, and yet look at what I have accomplished here in the WCF. I have managed to capture the Tag Team Championships, the Television Championship twice, the World Championship once, and the United States Championship four whole times in my career. I have accomplished goals that not even five year veterans have accomplished yet. That is also not to mention the winning of my back to back United States Champion of the Year awards in two thousand two to two thousand and eleven. Also I was Wrestler of the Year last year. All of these accomplishments have made me into a legend and when I first started here people were saying that I would be lucky to ever win the Television Championship, but I proved them wrong and without any help from management like Seth has been doing the past couple of months.
Another man that he has claimed is the next generation is Jonny Fly, the current Television Champion. He is the man that thinks he is indestructible, invincible, and unbeatable. Even though CD's team at XIII beat him, in which I was a member of. Jonny seems to be a copy of the same man that didn't make it past the Television Championship division. Jonny, don't continue to make mistakes that he has been in the last couple of days. Hank, all he talks about is how he is the best in the WCF and he hasn't been here any more than a few months. This is away from his time, but I beat someone before that was considered unbeatable and indestructible, don't think that I wont do the same thing to him.
Donald smiles before replying back to Hank before he can ask another question.
Donald Deruty: Actually, not that I about it. I am going against the new generation of Seth's rag dolls that he calls superstars. Donald Deruty will be going up against the biggest two up and comers in the WCF today. I think that Nathan and Jonny should be thanking me for this opportunity. I mean this match brings them up in the WCF, to be in the ring with a future WCF Hall of Famer, and best United States Champion there has ever been. You two should be thanking me for bringing you all allowing you to be in this match with me this week, and instead of thanking me, you are silent. I don't who or what you two think you are, but you will never be as talented as myself. I have defeated multiple Hall of Famers, to name a few: Logan, Madd Dogg, and the current WCF World Champion Creeping Death. A person that you, Nathan, couldn't beat.
Speaking back towards Nathan, I would just like to talk about this young and interesting man. He picked me for Creeping Death's opponent at Slam, and I successfully won the match. Nathan, you are nothing but a gothic little dweeb that thinks he is all tough shit. I mean come on Hank, I think that you can take Nathan in a fair fight. He keeps on bringing up the so called win at One, in which he hit me with my United States Championship to get the win. Nathan, this week you will not come out on top. I will show you who really the best wrestler is. I will beat Fly for his Television Championship and I will beat you in the process. If you think that you can just talk your little shit talk about how the loss at Revenge was a hoax and how you will beat us you are mistaken. You will lose at Slam, plain and simple.
Hank Brown: Last Question before I get going. Now I know that Seth has booked this match because of the differences between Fly, Nathan, and yourself. There has also been some comments from your former friend Roy Speede. What do you have to say about the comments he made about you getting the United States Championship?
Donald Deruty: Well Hank, In Roy's condition I really have no idea what has been going on with him but the comments that he made was a little un-called for. Roy's comments were just words from a jealous mouth and nothing more. He was just complaining that he didn't get his little Tag Team Championships back like I did with the United States Championship. Roy is just being a little baby about his little Tag Team Championships well I have one thing to say to him. Roy, you got your chance at getting your precious championships back, why don't you take advantage and get them back instead of crying like a little five year old. I don't you what happened to you, but you are becoming the person that you always hatted. You are becoming a self-centered man that only cares about himself and his reputation. Roy, why don't you worry about yourself or I will beat you just like I will Fly and Nathan this week. Don't cross me Roy, or there will be prices to pay.
Hank Brown: Thank you very much. I will leave you to yourself Mr. Deruty.
Hank then walks away from Donald leaving him all alone. Donald then looks and speaks to the camera.
Donald Deruty: Now it is time to speak to the men that I face this week more thoroughly. Fly, lets start with you and your Television Championship shall we? Well actually your former Television Championship, because it will be mine after this week. Fly, you think that you are the best wrestler in the world the way that you talk. You have been here no longer than a few months and you have already gotten on my nerves. I still don't know what you are complaining about yet, because it seems to change week in and week out. One week you are complaining that you have to defend your championship every week. Well for your information, that is what makes the Television Championship so hard to hold and defend. You have to be able to defend it week in and week out, and apparently that isn't going through your thick ass skull. Then the next week it seems that you are complaining about how I have been given the microphone at Slam and WCF events. Fly, I am the type of man that should be getting the hype that Seth is giving you and your little newcomer misfits. I am the man that should be at the top of that ladder no matter what championship I hold or even if I am holding a championship. The World Champion must have certain qualities to be able to hold such a championship at such a high prestigious level. I have those qualities and I held that championship once before, but it is now time to move my talents to a different division...the Unites States Championship division.
Fly, I have been on the microphone because I care about the WCF. You on the other hand care about nothing but your little career that will most likely never develop past the Television Championship division. I am going to be completely honest with you Fly, I don't know what Seth sees in you, but I don't see anything in you than disappointment. You will do nothing your entire career but disappoint the people you love and the people of the WCF, including Seth. Fly, you may have everybody else fooled but I can see right through you.
I am a man that also grew up in the streets of New York and I know how it can be. I went with the crowd and I joined into the powerful gangs and groups of that time, but now I just hate myself for what I did back then. We are so close and the same more than you think. We also lost loved ones when we were both young. Fly, you may have been in the UWA and TNT before you have been in the WCF. You may have also won the World Championships from the TNT and UWA, hell you could have done what ever the fuck you want in the UWA and TNT and nobody in the WCF would ever care. Fly, you may have done and have so much success in your UWA and TNT careers, but you will never be able to do the type of accomplishments that I have and will succeed. Fly, you say that you don't like being the Television Champion, well I am going to make your wish come true. I will take that championship away from you and give it to a man that truly deserves to hold a championship here in the WCF. You better be ready for the worse in that ring this week, because I will bring my all and it will be more then enough to beat you in the WCF four sided circle. Jonny, at Slam this week it is time for the Fly to get swatted.
Donald then smiles before speaking back to the camera.
Donald Deruty: Next is the man that I love to talk about the most. Nathan von Liebert is a man that deserves to be taught some respect. Bottom line Nathan, that will happen at Slam this week. You will be taught some respect in the WCF, and it will be delivered gladly by none other than myself. Nathan, my words of wisdom in starting to tell the truth. You see, it wasn't more than a week or so before your match against CD last week that I said that you will amount to nothing here in the WCF. I said that you would not win the WCF World Championship and that you will be nothing but a big waste of time for Seth. Well, as far as I can tell the words that came from my mouth are coming true. You did lose to Creeping Death, and you will become nothing more than a man to waste a spot on the Slam card. Seth may think that you are so big and bad, but this week I will show you what you really are. I will show you that you are nothing but a man that is nothing without Seth giving you World Championship matches before your time.
Nathan, you need to understand that you were never ready to hold a championship here in the WCF and you just got lucky that Seth pushed you to the top with all of his authority. You entire rise to fame is a giant hoax. You should have never won the final at One, yet you managed to attack me with my own championship and slither away with the win. You see Nathan, this match isn't just about getting in win to me. It is about getting revenge about all the shit that has been said and done to me. You claim that I am only the WCF United States Champion is because my name carries worth, well Nathan I will show you that it is because I have the talent to hold the championship. I wasn't beat with my United States Championship rein and I was proudly handed the championship back to where it should be. Also, you wish has been granted. I have just been heard that my championship will also be put on the line at Slam, but it will only change hands if I am pinned or I submit. Same with Fly and his Television Championship, and luckily for you, you don't have anything to lose.
Now the final thing I have to say to you is when you said that you were better than me just because of the ladder ranking systems. Well Nathan, the ladder systems don't mean shit here in the WCF. You see Creeping Death was at the top and a defeated him, and you lost to him so therefor the ladder isn't completely anything to be able to fall back on. Just because you are one spot ahead of me on that little ladder doesn't meant that you are better than me, and you little cheat shot win at One doesn't make that statement anymore truer. You see if you want to lean on the ladder then so be it. I beat Creeping Death, which is above you, and you lost to him so therefor I should be able to beat you easily, which I will. The ladder has been here before and it doesn't factor into anything other than where you are in different divisions. People at the bottom of the main event division has beaten the World Champion many times before. It isn't that rare to see. The ladder doesn't show and scale talent inside of the WCF ring, and I will show you that at Slam when I beat you. You can make up what ever you want to be a reason why and how you are going to beat me at Slam, you and Fly can do it together, but in reality there is only one thing that is true. I am better than the both of you, and I will show you both that when I beat you at Slam. I hope you both enjoy yourself this week, because at Sunday it will be a living hell in that ring with me. I have two little burials already dug up and ready for something to be placed into them, and they are ready for the warm welcome of your two careers after I am done with you at Slam.
Donald walks away from the camera as the scene ends in darkness.
