It is a nice quiet evening, and Doc Henry is sitting on a four wheeler on his ranch. The sunlight is still illuminating the area, and we notice that Doc is clad in the most sophisticated and advanced hunting camouflage on the market. Ever present is his hat, and a revolver in a shoulder holster. This is not his normal Colt Peacemaker, no, it is a 4" barrel Smith & Wesson 500. It is still early, and not in prime hunting conditions, so Doc is sitting with his feet up and watching the sun set.
Without even turning to look at the camera, Doc nods his head, "Well, here we are, days from Payback. Just a fraction of time before the New Confederacy once again rides on top of the tag division as Champions. It's kinda poetic really. Actually, it's not, but it is definitely fitting. When I first came to WCF after taking some time off coming out of the collapse of GWC, Johnny Reb and I were, shall we say, not on the same side of the fence. Our feud in the GWC got bloody and violent, and was leading up to an epic final confrontation. Then, well, then the place closed down. Having been stuck in the lower rung there my entire run, no matter what happened, had me soured and looking for that spark. Some people will know what that spark is, most however have no clue it even exists. After finding my spark, I looked up my old brother Reb, and came here. Just like then, now at each others throats, we'll push ourselves above and beyond where we are, to reign over this company once more."
Doc rubs his chin and smokes for a few seconds. "I want to say a few things about the Tag Title holders. Yes I said holders, because they are just holding them for the rightful owners of those belts, the New Confederacy. First, I'm gonna address Jeff Purse, the one that I haven't been in the ring with, and the less I know. Now Jeffrey, I hope you don't mind me calling you Jeffrey. Last week on Slam you went toe to toe with one of the best in this business, my brother, and tag teammate, Johnny Reb. Now, Jeffrey, you did very well. Let me ask you though, how did it feel to throw all you had against a man holding back. How do I know he held back? Because, I know Johnny Reb better than anyone else in this company, nay better than he knows himself. I can tell you this, at Payback, your not gonna get a Johnny Reb laying back, scoping you out. Your gonna get a man as sharp as a razor, and as focused as a laser. Then you have me thrown in on top."
Doc smiles as he finally looks at the camera, "Now, for the vocal one, Night Rider...
What can I say about the man, really, what? Hmm, well first I like his choice in auto transportation. That's a nice vintage car. Tell me, did the cost of it set you back? I also like your in ring style, though it's lacking. Anyway, enough of the 'love fest'.
I admit when I first heard your name as part of the roster, I immediately though, great a David Hasselhoff wannabe. I was expecting you to come out in black jeans and a leather outfit with a talking '89 Trans Am. After our match however, I was rather disappointed. A Hasselhoff wannabe would have actually posed a challenge. Yup, you heard right, I said a German fanboy would've fought harder.
You can spout off all you want, and call me a pussy, or flake or scared. It makes no difference, the truth about our match, it didn't matter. I said that going in. All I did was watch and study you in the ring. I saw all I needed to and instead of wasting my time to kick the ever loving shit out of you, I did the prudent thing, and left. I know, the prudent and honorable are no synonymous with me, but it happened."
Doc starts up his four wheeler and smiles, "At Payback, oh, I'm gonna bring it alright. I am a proven champion, time and again. Now, Johnny may claim to not care about winning the tag titles, but I know him better than that. There is no better way to reprove you belong in the World Title picture again than to reclaim the Championship that earned you those shots. Unlike Johnny, I have not benefited from those reigns as he has... Or have I? I have just as many titles to my name as he does, plus I am the current Confederate Champion, and have held my title longer than any other champion we have in the WCF." Doc put his hat on and revs the four wheeler, "Now, I'm off to slaughter some nuisance swine, just like at Payback..."
As Doc laughs, he takes off on the quad, tires spitting up dirt and rocks into the camera lens, breaking it and sending the picture to static...
