Ryan Blake
Rp #2
vs. Philip Baines
For WCF Hardcore Title
Part II
"Scream from the haters has a nice ring to it, I guess every super hero has his theme music."
In the interviewing area backstage; The area is very dark, not well lit at all as it normally is, this time lots of the lights were not on making the area backstage dark and shadowy. Standing in front of the camera is Hank Brown. This time is different though, this is no ordinary interview, this time Blake is no where to be seen. When the camera man tells Hank it's time to roll, hank looks a bit worried. To his knowledge Blake is not there at all. But he is.
The scene now opens to Hank Brown standing in the darkness.
Hank
Hello ladies and gentlemen, Hank Brown here and I'm waiting for my interviewee this evening, Ryan Blake. Ryan seems to not be here yet.
Ryan
I am here.
Hank
What? I can hear you but where are you I cant see you?
Ryan steps out from the darkness, now visible you see Ryan is fully dressed in a batman suit, utility belt, mask and all. Hank is startled by the fact that Ryan has been behind him, hiding the whole time he was standing there.
Hank
Holy shit Ryan! What the hell are you doing dressed up like Batman!?
Ryan
Good question Hank, Tonight I thought I would play the part of Batman so I can practice beating up Baine.
Hank looks at Ryan like he is the weirdo he is.
Hank
S.
Ryan
Huh?
Hank
Baine…s. His name is Baines.
Ryan brushes off the correction with a smile.
Ryan
Right, I know.
Hank rolls his eyes
Hank
Ok Ryan lets just start the interview shall we?
Ryan
Ok, shoot.
Hank
Alright Ryan, first question. Yesterday when you talked about Baines you seemed very aggressive, angry and determined. Why are you so much more determined this week then you have been in past weeks?
Ryan
Hmm, very good question Hank, and I have the perfect answer. You see, the way I think of things this week are slightly different than usual. This week is about more than just another win.
Hank
We all know that, it's about the WCF Hardcore Title.
Ryan
Yes, Hank, it is but it's about something even bigger than that. Respect. You see Hank, I am the type of person that feeds off of three things in life. One, winning. Two, Chumps like Baines. And three, Respect.
Hank
Interesting. Well Batman is highly respected isn't he?
Ryan
Yes, indeed he is Hank. That's another reason why I'm wearing this suit.
Hank
Ok, well next question Ryan. We only have time for a few more.
Ryan
Very well, continue.
Hank
Well now that we are on the topic of respect, I must ask you Ryan, do you not feel respected here in WCF?
Ryan
This is one of those things where I do, yet I don't Hank. When I think about, Ryan Blake is not respected the way he should be here in WCF. If you ask me, I was raised to always welcome your guest, not talk bad about them. It's people like Baines who don’t realize this type of thing. They make the smallest little mistake and it effects them greatly. Baines isn't the easiest guy on the roster to beat, I'm not afraid to admit that. But he isn’t the best either. Whether I win or lose this match this week I will leave the arena with more respect, I can guarantee you Hank.
Hank
But why would you gain respect from a loss?
Ryan
Because Hank, don't you get it? It's about more than just winning. It's about defeating your opponent mentally as well as physically all while giving the fans what they truly want. A good hardcore match! This week at ultimate showdown I am going to put on one hell of a show for every single one of my Ryan Blake fans out there. And if I lose, it sucks, but if I win, I leave champion. And once I am champion, I will be champion for a long time. I can promise you that.
Hank
Why is it that you think you can be a champion for so long? What if next week you are placed in a rematch with Baines and you lose it to him again?
Ryan
If I could beat him once, why wouldn't I be able to do it again Hank?
Hank
That’s a good point. Ok Ryan, last question, then it's time to go. What did you notice about Baines so far?
Ryan
The way my brain works is, I study my opponent until I cant anymore. Baines thinks he's clever when it comes to being in the ring, he thinks because big hot shot Bobby Cairo trained him? Well I've been trained by people twice as big as Boobie Cardio. I've trained with the big boys. People above and beyond, even out of this industry. I've been in the ring since I was sixteen people, I know what it's like to deal with punks like Baines, he just an average Joe. He has no skill. Luck maybe, but not skill. He gets in the ring and swings because that’s all he's good for. If you ask me honestly, I see no threat when I see Baines standing in front of me. I see a little bitch, just all hopped up on steroids. He is just like every single other person on this roster, no different. At all. He tries to be, but his palms are too hairy to hide. He is just like you and me. And he will be defeated at Ultimate Showdown.
Hank
Wow, well that's all the time we have for now Ryan. I'm sorry to stop you like this.
Ryan
That’s ok Hank, just remember this.
'It's always darkest before the dawn, and I swear, the dawn is coming.'
And it will be Epic.
Ryan walks off of the scene as he yells,
Ryan
To the batmobile!
Hank
Powerful words, from a determined young man. We'll see the results of the match later tonight, at Ultimate Showdown!
