Alex Richards snarls. He's obviously in a bad mood and this scene isn't feeling it. He approaches the burnt out shell of what used to be a pub. He looks at the charred sign where you can barely make out the words. "pub and grille". He walks in through what once was the front window. It's easy for him to walk inside as the glass has been melted. He looks around, surveying the damage, shaking his head.
Alex Richards: Back in the day Bonnie and I would have stopped people from causing this kind of destruction. Now instead she walks with John Rabid and revels in this sort of destruction. I know legally that was ruled an accident. A grease fire. but we all know the truth last week John Rabid and Bonnie Blue burned this place to the ground.
Alex looks around, noticing the wooden chairs were really melted plastic, the union jacks were made of cheap polyester.
Alex Richards: This place may have been a shithole but it didn't deserve to burn. Did you get the message Kennedy Mathews? See.. I got the message. Burning this bar was a message from Bonnie and Rabid to me. They burned this bar the same way Taylor Wright once burned my bar.. The Sloshed Pit. Don't think I don't remember. That was the lesson Bonnie seeked to impart on me.. that she could burn my world to the ground if she wants to. But I have other ideas.
Alex Richards: But what about you Kennedy? What was the lesson you were supposed to learn? You were supposed to learn a lesson about the nature of evil.
Alex shakes his head. He reaches into his ever present doctor's bag and pulls out a boot, fills it with Zim-Quila.
Alex Richards: You didn't realize that did you Kennedy? That's why you failed against Bonnie. That's why you're going to fail against me. For all your talent Kennedy.. you're missing something. You're missing the ability to see beyond the surface of things. You never realized how truly dangerous Bonnie was. That was your downfall.
Alex looks around, surveying the damage again.. obviously upset.
Alex Richards: I helped Bonnie Blue.. until she started doing shit like this. Notice Bonnie never so much as asked me to join her and Rabid. Because she didn't have to. She already knew what my answer would have been. If Bonnie asked you to join her Kennedy what would your answer have been?
Alex pauses, as if considering.
Alex Richards: It would have been yes wouldn't it? Because you don't look at the values of people teaming up with you. You only look at what they can do for you. That says it all doesn't it Mathews? But what it says it.. you're weak. That you need someone to help you. That you know you're not good enough on your own. That you are willing to work with anyone who will have you because you can't succeed without them.
Alex Richards: You say you're a princess.. you claim to be a hardcore queen. But really you are nothing so fancy. You ain't nothing more then a simple pawn. Something other people move about the board until you become disposable then it's all for you.
Alex Richards: I teamed with Bonnie until she became evil. Now I could have seen the signs, maybe I was blinded by my friendship. But I know that Bonnie did a lot of good things before casting her lot with John Rabid. You teamed with Scott Slayer knowing he's a cold blooded murderer. Knowing that aiding him can only result in other people being hurt.
Alex slams down the boot on the charred bar top, causing it to collapse.
Alex Richards: Why? Why are you so fucking weak Kennedy? Before our match this week Mathews I want you to look at your Hardcore Championship. I want you to look at that shiny title belt. I want you to ask yourself one question. Was it worth it? Was causing countless people to suffer worth one stinking title?
Alex snorts.
Alex Richards: I got a shot at the world title by beating everyone Corey Black put in front of me. Week after week I beat the top contenders. I earned my shot and I did it without stealing my soul. You can't say the same can you Kennedy? No.. you didn't even earn a shot at the hardcore title. You piggybacked off of Scott Slayer's challenge to DW Wolf. You're proud of that win, right?
Alex Richards: Why? It took the two of you to barely defeat one DW Wolf. You and Slayer had every possible advantage! Of course you won. It was a virtual handicap match. And you were legitimately proud of that! You're proud of a title you won in a lopsided contest. You're proud of being team-mates with someone who has no sense of wrong and right.
Alex grins slightly.
Alex Richards: In short you are the perfect opponent for me to face the week before I challenge Bonnie for the world title at One. I want to show the world what Alex Richards stands for. I want to show the world that if you sell yourself for a cheap trinket that there is a price you have to pay for it. I'm the one who will make you pay that price. And it will be steep. If you think the beating Bonnie gave you last week was bad. It's nothing compared to what I'm going to do to you!
Alex Richards: Bonnie gave you a beating out of vanity. She was angry at you for stealing her nickname. I am far more angry at you for a much deeper reason. I am going to put you in the shoes of Scott Slayer's victims. See.. you don't really care what Slayer does as long as he helps you be successful in the world of professional wrestling. I'm going to change that. I'm going to hurt you like Slayer hurts people. Like you help Slayer hurt people. Because providing aid to a psychopath is not something I will ever approve of. So I'm going to change your outlook the only way I can. I'm going to get your attention by making you suffer.
Alex Richards: See.. I don't know if I can actually change your outlook. I don't know if I can make you a better person. But I know your nature. I know that when you look in a mirror you may be beautiful but you are ugly inside. That means that you aren't truly loyal to Scott. You are only loyal to yourself. So to end your unholy alliance I merely have to make it inconvient for you to continue teaming with Scott. I'm going to do that by giving you the beating of your career. And I won't feel bad about it at all. Kennedy, you're young. You may be young to still be saved. But to do that I have to teach you not to feel empathy for others. I have to teach you that actions have consequences.
Alex Richards: If I was facing Slayer I might say he's beyond help. I might just try and take him out permanently. For you Mathews.. I'm going to beat the daylights out of you.. in hopes that you learn that that's what you're helping Scott Slayer do to others. You have a belt Kennedy Mathews but as long as you behave the way you do you will never be a champion.
Alex looks around.. as if envisioning the future.
Alex Richards: I know you a bit Kennedy. At least I've researched you. You have the potential to be good. But you lack the discipline. You would rather take a short cut then think about what the results of doing so are on your career. On your legacy. To you Kennedy family means everything. But when it comes out what your tag partner stands for.. are your family going to be proud of what you've accomplished? It doesn't matter how many titles you win Kennedy associating with monsters means that in everyone else's eyes you become one. And that's what you've be remembered for. You won't be remembered as a great wrestler. You will be remembered as an evil, vile human.
Alex Richards: Is that what you want? I don't think it is Kennedy. You know what I really think. I think you know you aren't ready. I think you know that facing someone like me is a mismatch. So you had to seek a way to get yourself an undeserved advantage. You thought instead of learning from your losses and getting better you would try and scumbag your way to the front of the line. You thought wrong Mathews. Hard work pays off. Treachery is dealt with, eventually. Especially if you have the misfortune of stepping into the ring against me. James Wolf is legitimately proud of being the biggest asshole in the world. But being an asshole didn't get the job done against me. Odin Balfore thought that being a God meant he was better then everyone else. But it didn't impress me and it didn't stop me from defeating him. See.. I use people's negative qualities against them. To motivate me. If you win this week Kennedy it will only serve to encourage you. It will only prove to you you're on the right path.
Alex kicks a hole in the burnt wall.
Alex Richards: YOU ARE NOT ON THE FUCKING RIGHT PATH! You are young.. you are selfish.. and you don't care about others. That means you literally only measure your success by wins and losses. Because you fucking have nothing else! So I'll play your game. I will hand you a loss. A painful, brutal loss. The kind of loss that will stick with you. In hopes that you look back on this loss. That you listen to the words I had to say and that they sink in.
Alex Richards: I can't save Bonnie Blue from herself. But maybe I can save you Kennedy. What do you want to be Mathews? Because I've seen you with one of my team-mates Jaice Wilds. That might be the only thing that convinces me that you have some hope. That there might be something deep down inside you that says you can be more then the shallow little girl you porture yourself as. But you need to learn.. that you don't achieve great success by taking the easiest route possible.
Alex Richards: I sincerely hope two things. First, that you aren't with Jaice because he's the hottest guy you've ever seen. Second, that you are with Scott Slayer because you see it is the quickest route to success. Because that illusion I can shatter for you. There is no quick and dirty path to success. You don't become a main eventer overnight. It took me years to become a main eventer. And I'm proud of what I accomplished. Are you proud Kennedy? Deep down are you proud? I didn't think so Mathews. Teo beat you because he's better then you. Bonnie beat you because she's better then you. You even lost to Sammy McPherson. I beat all of those people cleanly. Obviously that means you're boned this week. That means you don't have much of a chance against me. But what it really means it much more earth shattering for you Kennedy. It means everything you have done has been in vain. All the people you allowed Scott Slayer to hurt.. none of it mattered. Because you are not a main eventer. You are not ready. This is going to hurt but I won't permanently destroy you like Slayer might. You should consider yourself lucky when you wake up in the locker room. You should thank your lucky stars you are dating Jaice Wilds. Because I am going to destroy you. I am going to enjoy dispensing the justice you brought down upon yourself. Because of Jaice your career is not going to be over after Slam. But know this.. that will be the only thing that saved you.. not your limited skills. Because compared to me... they are limited.
Alex Richards: You know why I brought that up? Because I want you to know that feeling of helpless when you face me. That feeling that nothing you can do will change the outcome... Is completely intentional. I may be the Final Guardian Kennedy but I still take my responsibilities to society seriously. Consider this defeat your just punishment. Where you go from here is up to you.
