I'm sorry to say this, but using real wrestlers in this case Joey Ryan on the shows in fedding is not realistic or very creative at all. I never approved of anybody even mentioning let alone using real wrestlers in RP's as IMO, they don't exist in our world. Even says in the rules to not use or play real wrestlers. I just couldn't see the point and quite frankly, I'm not going to selling it. Sorry, but I can't overlook that. The point to playing a CAW is creating your character with your own ideas, not using real life wrestlers on the show or in RP's for that matter.
I may get hated for this, but I can't shut my mouth and take this as something that I can feel any realism or take seriously and honestly, it's made my question whelther I should stay or not cos of that rather than wins and losses I don't care about. Silly reason I know, but the segment is silly, considering real wrestlers aren't allowed to be played here in a CAW fed, including segments and RP's.

All right well we don't wanna lose people obviously. So I'll talk with Buff and see if we can't make this a little less real world.

I understand what you’re saying. No one will hate on your for eloquently and fairly stating your opinions.
There is an end game to this.
I implore you to think of him as a man named Joey Ryan who does exist in our world who happens to be famous outside of WCF for having a similar gimmick to the mustache family.

On a side note, I had a 69 year old woman come on stage in a g strong and a bra. She has shown her vagina on multiple occasions, the last match I competed in involved pulling a nightstick out of her vagina and using it as a weapon
But it’s the use of Joey Ryan that is most disconcerting.
Ryan Joseph it is.

In all seriousness. The last thing I want to do is ruin anyone’s good time. We’ll work something out.

But you see, I don't mind the whole 69 year old lady coming out in a g string an bra and anything like that cos it's creative. I can easily overlook something like that.
But it's just the real life wrestler thing that I can't due to what it states in the rules. That's all dude. I'm glad you understand my point of where I came from and took this post very well.
Cos anybody can come in here and shit on this fed badly on twitter for using a real life wrestler which is something I've experienced before with a fed using a WWE PPV name and got changed because of it. I don't want it to happen again with WCF, despite me not having an IC twitter account (Not as Samuel or Lord Raab as Lord Raab especially doesn't fit the social mold) anymore.

I’m cool and totally understand. I don’t think you needed to threaten to leave. Your point about people shitting on the fed would have been reason enough.
Price. Change everything to Ryan Joseph.
he’s gonna be around u til at least One so better nip it in the penis.

Using real life wrestlers isn't part of the fabric of WCF in general, so it's perfectly understandable for Raab to raise it as a concern, good to see though that both parties can come to a solution. I think Buff's work-a-round is reasonable and solves the problem.
Good stuff.

Thanks Johnny Crowbid
Perhaps we don't use real life wrestlers but we've used real life people in the past without hesitation.
Howard Stern in the King of All Media match (also me but now canon in WCF lore) Taylor Swift in XIII Stan Lee Memorial Slam
And I'm sure that this list is far from comprehensive
As I said, I have no problem making this small and simple change. But I think it's clear that a precedent has been set to use real life people, and it's been ok. I think it's understandable to assume I can use a real wrestler that IRL personifies the mustache personality as a joke with a longer themed story.
I WON'T use him. But I think I can if I chose to be more argumentative.

Official stance: you do you. We've incorporated plenty of real life people. Everyone's entrance music, for example.

Though my hands are hardly clean in this regard. Technically Teo del Sol and Gemini Battle have killed Howard Stern at least twice. I wanted to throw him into a Volcano but Zombie beat me to it. Now I have to find a way to launch him into space. This is all in good fun of course, though I do admit having them actually wrestling on the card is a grey area? With that said, I do think of WCF as being a parallel universe that has its own versions of celebrities, etc.

Its definitely a fair point to discuss. Where exactly do we land in the real world?

Its definitely a fair point to discuss. Where exactly do we land in the real world? well.... In this universe the following are realAliens Zombies Vampires Ghosts Witches Magic Body jumping demons Norse Gods Jim Willy Jesus Time Travel Advanced Humanoid Robots Alternative Universes Werewolves Werewolves that combine with globuloid creatures to form different wrestlers Superheroes Supervillians Lovecraftian Old Gods Rubber Ducks used in controversial story-lines Secret societies that rule the world and... The spirits of dead clown wrestlers that inhabit championship belts So basically the WCF has jumped the shark so many times the shark has actually died of old age. We're CW, get over it. lol

I mean The Superfans whole schtick was dressing up as wrestling tag teams/stables and they did it for months with 0 issues.
So I guess do we draw the line at mimicking/parodies? Or just don't reference real wrestling companies at all?
Either way, Buff has graciously agreed to rename the character Ryan Joseph and I know the story he's planning on telling anyway, so we're good as far as he is concerned.
The No Real Wrestlers rule was established by Seth to keep people from signing up as The Rock or other real life people. Buff was using Joey Ryan as merely a character in his story, so I won't punish him for it, but he's still agreed to switch up the name.

If I'm not mistaken, WCF is supposed to be a mid-level ROH type entity. Where we land in the wrestling world is vague, but in my head cannon, everything in our world exists in WCF world.

So if we're ROH then there is a larger wrestling entity out here that hijacks our wrestles once we become too famous? Then they change our names and then we lose anything that made us special in the first place?

I think we're bigger than ROH, WCF sells out arenas across the world, with attendance in the 30-40 thousand range on occasion. ONE is basically wrestlemaina size, we have our own network. WCF is big.

My take on this is that maybe the rule could be amended to no real wrestler sign ups. That way if you ever wanted to see what would happen if your character ran into some other character you could. Or you could write a parody of an alternate universe with a comic vibe. I don’t think you should limit your creativity when a rule could be amended to reflect what it was originally designed for.
As long as we’re not clones of Hulk Hogan I think we’re doing good
