Boys and girls, after talking to Seth, I've decided to become a full time match writer! If you got any pointers for me, please reply. I want to put on epic matches and could use some feedback.

Read rps, get the mindset of the wrestlers and then take that and see how you want to portray that in the match and study their moves well
And dont worry if you make a mistake you learn from it just dont embarrass anyone

Renegotiate your pay for what he promised you to be a full-time writer. It's all lies, whatever it is.

My advice is dont try an djust get copy/paste entrances then write a finishing move so the shows go up on time

Study up on everyone's move sets. I'd even have them all open as you type.

Also, one thing I did was to visualize it, sure there are times where we blow past the physically possible, but make sure it flows, picture how the moves transition and keep spatial awareness...

Don't start writing the matches until Seth is chasing them up... and then deliberately try and delay the show as long as possible... bonus points if you manage to delay it by a whole day

Absolutely check out the RPs. Many times I'll tell my opponent exactly what I am going to do to them and it gets overlooked. Like it doesn't have to be EXACT but if I say "jesus you're huge, I'm just going to elbow your fucking brains in" and there's 0 elbow attempts.. come on.
Also, this might be for the whole roster, but add match quirks to your entry. I have a bunch of stuff listed out and I think FPV is the only one to use them so far, lol. If anyone else has, I haven't noticed it. But that shit is good to have listed out no matter what.

Dude read the shit... Be it the IT stuff or the special Peoples title thread... I made match types through the peoples title thread that has gone unnoticed... One day I'll have my electric barb wired steel cage match.

1. Have fun.
2. Post on time.
3. Always make Roman Reigns look strong.
Apart from that, I have nothing to add expect a very large THANK YOU for doing this. You're a saint in my book, rock on my friend.

Let everybody get their shit in but follow basic wrestling psychology, the heel is trying to get heat, the face is usually trying to overcome. It def helps to know the characters and be up on their recent storylines and matches so you have stuff for the commentators to talk about and put over their stuff. Keep in mind position on the card-- people shouldnt be kicking out of finishers and stuff like that in the opener (or really ever, but thats just an example, I know it happens all the time these days), save the big stuff and the long matches for main event and title matches, or ongoing feuds. You'll get into a match writing groove where you have a nice formula for most matches but can still tweak it based on the characters. Every match doesnt have to be an epic, remember RAW matches are like 5 minutes usually except the main event. Most people are only concerned about reading the finish so don't get too caught up in "doing people justice"-- if they care that much about the match they will write it themselves.

Oh yeah, also thank you. The fed always needs good match writers. And try to send them in on time.

Don't just copy and paste the entrances. Some people put things at the end like 'x waits for his opponent to arrive/or the referee to ring the bell.
Watch matches with characters that fit the mold of who you're writing for. Like if Gemini Battle is facing Joey flash, both are technical wrestlers, Gemini is slightly high risk, Joey flash will overwhelm you with ability and will do whatever it takes to win... watch randy savage vs ted dibiase from WM4
If oblivion is facing Adrian archer, archer is a sneaky heel, oblivion is oblivion watch Jericho vs Kane from like 2005?
Follow their lead.
